Hello Threaders!


We are in the midst of the hazy, nasty humid, could rain at any time summer weather, just like the Beans have. Been a couple of weeks now. Last year it lasted right up to the day of the trip so we were ready for it.

tried the water park again yesterday. was a little more gracefull and less elephant like on the slides.....

finished freezing sugar snaps yesterday. on to the green beans today....still drowning in zucchini and summer squash.. ..too bad the post office frowns on mailing packages of fresh veggies...


just in case you forgot......I leave in a month.....less than that now.....getting real excited!

Good afternoon. I had a tag/yard/garage sale (whatever you want to call it these days). Since it's horrifically hot and humid, the sale was short, but worth it. So many people came out between 8a-10a!

End result: lots of stuff sold and a fair amount of $ made.

Todd, if it's any consolation, it's in the low 90's here and humid...just like Florida...only I can't remember the last day we had rain So, there is NO lawn cuttin' going on here

Todd, if it's any consolation, it's in the low 90's here and humid...just like Florida...only I can't remember the last day we had rain So, there is NO lawn cuttin' going on here

Yikes...my parents told me the same thing...they're still in Virginia. We had big rains Wednesday and Thursday but now the front has moved on and the result is HOT..HUMID..not much rain.

I think we temporarily stole the Florida forecast. All this week... highs in the 90s... lows in the 80s... rain rolls in about 4 to 4:30 in the afternoon... leaving behind a sauna-like atmosphere until the sun goes down.

But at least we are getting some rain, so I won't complain.

Okay, I'll complain a *little* about how freakin hot it is.

okay, before you all laugh ......

have any of you visited the US Virgin Islands?

I am thinking ahead(as usual.... , remember, I am Monkish....) and thougth that that Island might be a good way to test the waters out.
