spoiler alert

did any of you watch CSI?
here is what I am thinking....
Sara really wanted that dead body at the construction site to be part of an ancient burial ground and I think she is going to decide to get into archeaology. she will not marry Grissom.
Catherine and her mother will get closer, as she seems to have a hand in the new casino, since she is Sam's only heir and has the $$$.
Warrick, who is now single, will get into a gambling habit again, and end up with Catherine one hot and steamy night.
But she will reject a relationship and end it.

any thoughts???????

Sounds good to me! Was it just me or was last week's show really boring? DH fell asleep during it twice. I'm actually hoping Sara and Gil end up together and live happily ever after. Not that I like her that much, but I think he seems to deserve some happiness for a change! I read on the fan site (yeah, I know how accurate these are) that a tentative "season finale" was Sara ending up pregnant. Seems like really stupid timing to write it then rather than now when she's actually pregnant!

I don't know about Warrick and Catherine. Am I the only one who thinks she's kind of a bit old for him now? Is it amazing to anyone else how much older all the characters have gotten? I used to think Gil was really hot, now he just looks simply "old"!

Hey everyone...

Kinda been MIA lately, but I've been popping over to read. What a busy weekend and week. Today was the start of Red Ribbon Week (Drug-free) and we run bake sales and raise money to promote staying drug free and so on....

Totally wiped, but I feel anxious and I can't figure out why:confused3 .... the reason I am up so late

Anyway...second half of root canal tomorrow...sigh

Hopefully I'll get a chance to address everyone when I get home tomorrow.

Sweet dreams :goodvibes

marci -
Well, now her mom just called and wanted to "make sure" she wasn't invited as well. :confused3 Her mom was like "oh, okay, kids learn to deal with disappointment", etc. :sad2: as in perhaps you committed an error of omission? Her ma is a piece of work - pushy, ignorant & rude; you are doing the daughter a favour by sticking to your guns...perhaps it'll keep her from turning out like her mom. OT - one of the guys DH works with carries papers to indicate he is sane; looks & acts a bit "off"...evidently, peeps call the police often & he was tired of explaining.

alfred-hitchcock1.jpg
cannot believe i missed the old attraction @ Universal; one of the main reasons I want to do U Studios/Hollywood tour...to see the Psycho house. how about my chopped in half nanner in siggie, sorta macabe?

penny - i'm doing an eval. of new TV guide magazines, got copy in mail had a hint as to Sara's storyline this season...if you want to know pm me, don't want to ruin it for you.

elmer - I have those dreams now & then, along with various chainsaw peeps, etc.:rolleyes1 DS corrected me on his choice of NASCAR drivers, Waltrup not Stewart - d-oh, i cannot keep them straight-need a scorecard. Hope you are in prime form for the weekend...have you started popping vitamin C too.:wizard:

Kfed - just know root canal part duex will be c'est magnifique! i've exhausted my entire french vocab - oui?

Jaws - ooh, beauty pagents = big hair:yay: ; i've heard they also use "cutlets"; wear spanx(girdles) non stop & and grease their teeth with vaseline...who sez they don't work hard?

Dragging ma for a mamogram later, monsoon like conditions...yuck.

Good luck on the root canal Katie. I hope this is the grand finale to the tooth troubles.

They are celebrating Red Ribbon week at Joshua's school. Yesterday was "Turn your back on drugs" day and the kids were encouraged to wear their shirts backwards. Today is "Drugs can't find us" day and the kids are wearing camo. Tomorrow is "Give drugs the boot" day, but we don't have any boots for Joshua. He was upset until I reminded him that tomorrow is his field trip to the Pumpkin Farm and he wouldn't want to wear boots for that anyway.

We had rain off and on all day yesterday. It is still cloudy and we are supposed to get more rain today. In fact, rain is in the forecast through Thursday. We need it, but I hope Joshua still gets his field trip in. Did it make the national news that our governor is asking the president to name most north Georgia counties a disaster area due to the drought? I think I heard metro Atlanta has about 80 days worth of water at the moment.

It looks like today will be a Wal-Mart day. Anybody need anything while I'm there?

Michael Waltrip? Oh, well... he's had a terrible season. He started off getting caught using a fuel accelerant at the beginning of the season, which is what you would call CHEATING. Nascar hit him with a 100 owner point penalty. Let's just say that a penalty like that is big enough that everyone knew he wouldn't be in the Chase (think playoffs) right then and there. First race of the season and he was already out of it. That makes for a LONG year.

The "tickle" is definitely a sore throat trying to take hold, so I am continuing with the Zicam and I'm going to get the Vitamin C stuff when we are at Wal-Mart. Keep your fingers crossed...

Janet (and everyone else who replied) - that's kind of what I thought. Like Tricia said, I understood that she wanted to go, but thought that was the end of it. One thing I was kind of waiting for during the conversation yesterday was for her mom to offer to pay for it. If she had, then I would have been a bit more pressed to say no since there's no real reason I can't bring her. Her mom did happen to mention that she was going to Milwaukee with her new husband for the weekend and now she'd have to arrange for her daughter to stay with her dad (mom's ex) for that time. Thnk that had anything to do with trying to get her to come along? ::yes:: Hey - free babysitting!

They did this last weekend as well. First they conned their DS into "inviting" all his friends over, and oh, by the way, bring a shovel and gloves. Then they spent about 5 hours working in their back yard - shoveling dirt, raking leaves, etc. DS came home exhausted. Then they called and asked if their son could spend the night at our house. I said okay. THEN they called and asked if their DD (the one who wants to come to Six Flags) could also come over so they could go to dinner. I said okay. THEN they asked if she could spend the night too? :confused3 Um, hello? Where did they want me to have her sleep? In my DS15's queen bed? Guess I could have offered that! :rotfl: At this point I told DS14 to tell them never mind - forget everything. (All these conversations were his friends folks telling friend to call my son who then asked me). Some people don't know when they're pushing their luck too far!

Tricia - if you're stopping by Walmart, one cool thing they had at ours for the first time on my last visit (they may not have them there yet since you're further south and it's probably still warm there), were "self-heating" cups of coffee and hot chocolate (a bunch of different varieties). The kids thought these were the coolest thing ever - you pull the little tab at the bottom (kind of like the old soda cans) and it automatically heats up the drink to a really hot temperature. It would be great for football games, skiing, anything outdoors since it's just in like a soda can container until you use it. I know, really no improvement over a thermos, but we never manage to actually make hot chocolate, find a thermos, carry it, and then have to bring it home. They were $2 each, a bargain I thought!

Hope you ward off that cold and the weather holds for you. It's just COLD here. DS is off at "science camp" this week - a program called Trees for Tomorrow (kind of ecology & nature). This morning it was 27 degrees there - only lower 30's here. But hey, at least it's not raining! I just hope we can manage to not have rain for our Six Flags trip Saturday. Cold I can handle, cold and rain no! As of yesterday there was a 10 percent chance of rain, now it says 30 percent. By the time we go, it'll be up to 100 percent - you know how that works!

Katie - hope your root canal goes well (THERE'S an oxymoron for you!). I've had exactly one in my life, back in 97, and between the pain and the cost, it's been enough motivation to take a WHOLE lot better care of my teeth in the interim! Not to say you're not, but I'd never really worried that much about it before that and now I'm pretty paranoid. I'm NOT going through that again!

Janet - I just assumed you had an X rated banana down there and he got *censored*! If you go to the freesmilies website, they have all kinds of, um, interesting bananas!

Morning all!

got a sick Kbean with strep throat  - she is finally at the age where the doc prescribed penicillin pills for her to swallow and they are HUGE! Have to break them in half for her.

Has anyone heard about MRSA? Apparently quite a few schools in this neck of the woods are closing forcsleaning due to outbreaks of it - and I think Cbean may have something other than her eczema going on....she has blisters on her knee that resemble the staph infection she had on her fingers a few years ago. Guess its back to the doc for us :sad2: We have gone almost 2 years without needing the doctor, and now with this wacky weather we are going there every two weeks with something new :headache:

Things are getting back to normal (or some semblence thereof) around here. Hope mac is arriving home safe and sound today. Loving the updates over on the trip report board from Mike! Also really enjoying Jodie's trippie.....who else owes one??:rolleyes1

Tricia - I sure hope that the Zicam kicks in and kicks out the sickies!!! Keeping my fingers crossed for you :flower3:

Barb - what's wrong with the toaster? if you want to keep it to yerself, that is fine too, I understand

marcie - do not be made to feel guilty, you never invited the little one in the first place.....you are doing the right thing.....no worries :thumbsup2

off to throw in yet another load of laundry :scared: :scared:

Tracie....get her to the doctor...take NO chances with the MRSA...sounds like she could have it starting..... I had heard that the middle school I went to had someone confirmed with it  (not OUR current school district, but 20 min. away where my Mom lives).... this MRSA thing is awful! Take no chances!!! I hope it all works out okay and she either doesn't have it, or you've caught it early. :thumbsup2

You people never came thru on the money collection to send us back to UO...so, I don't owe any trippie....

As for the toaster, let's just say, DH bought it, I don't like it (cord isn't long enuf) and I'm not happy I don't have the other one to use in the meantime.... love my DH, but :sad2:

Hey everyone. Sorry I have been MIA again. So why is it that when I canbe here every day there is very little yakin' going on but when I can't get in and keep up for a few days you all go crazy???? Is this some sort of conspiracy? I think I need to go all the way back to page 409 to catch up. UGH!

In the mean time I hope all is going well for everyone. Hopefully I can get through all 11 pages today.

I agree Tracie - I'd watch this very carefully and call/insist on seeing the doctor if anything seems out of whack (which it kind of sounds like it already does!). We recently got an email about the "enhanced sanitary measures" the schools were taking. Haven't really seen anything in action, but did notice DS12 brought his gym clothes home for the first time in awhile - I'm guessing they made the kids. The email talked about it being most prevalent in locker rooms, etc. Unfortunately, it didn't give any indication of symptoms or things to look for, just preventative stuff.

I guess my kids were just really early on the pill swallowing? All 3 of mine could easily swallow pills by ages 3-4 (depending on the kid). Middle DS took pills 3 times a day regularly - we never would have survived liquids. I do remember that Augmentin (enhanced penicillin) was one of the worst, but since he's allergic to penicillin, I didn't have to deal with that with him at least. We had the biggest problem with asking a doctor to write a scrip for a pill and him either (looking at the 3 year old in the room) or the pharmacy (looking at the birthdate) would insist on giving us a liquid. I'd say this happened at least half the time. Got to the point where I'd ask to speak to the pharmacist personally beforehand and explain that yes, we wanted a pill!

Thanks Barb! I don't think it's made it out here yet, but I guess it can't hurt to take precautions! I like your "Happy" ghost - I'm guessing it's supposed to have a "Halloween" below it, but now he can just be happy instead!

You're welcome Marcie...hope the MRSA doesn't make it out that way.....

It does say "Happy Halloween" in my sig...wonder why you can't see the "halloween" part...i can :confused3

Okay, now I can see it over on the right. Before it was underneath your pictures and only the happy showed. But now I can't read the line underneath your pics!

ETA: Okay, I just spent some time playing with it. I had no idea that as I adjusted the size of my "favorites" on the side, it would affect people's sigs. Didn't realize earlier as I compressed mine as much as I could that some people still would have it cut off and some could have seen how I had mine before. However, I still can't read your bottom line (which looks like it ends with a thumbs up smilie), no matter what I do!

this is the bottom line....

Click HERE to read about Mickey Mouse's Vacation to Universal Orlando!! :thumbsup2

I can only see the Happy in Barbs signature.

I can only see half of the smilies for the DSs in Marcies signature.

I can only see half of the bottom picture in Janets signature.

Maybe it's just me and my settings? I dunno. :confused3

Tracie - Thanks for the crossed fingers and SO FAR (knock wood) the Zicam is keeping it to a minimum sore throat and no sinus stuff at all. I picked up the Emergen-C that somebody suggested, so I'll start that today too. I had to read all over it to make sure there wasn't any iron in it. With me on prescription iron supplements, I have to make sure I don't OD on it.

Sorry to hear about the sick Bean(s). Hopefully, we'll ALL be on the mend now!
