Avic, you homeschool? KEWL!!!!!!!!! This has been our first year, so we learned as much about what works for us as we did about academic subjects. I just ordered our math curriculum for next year. DS loves math, so we have fun with it.

I see you're from Alabama. We lived there for five years and LOVED it. We moved to MS for my husband's job, and our house is only 2.5 miles from the AL border. Are you close to Mobile? I have a very good friend who lives there.

I started homeschooling the middle of last year with my oldest DD Homeschooling all 3 this year. Im already buying books for next year as well. Gotta start early
I live very close to Mobile... just outside it actually. I lived in MS some as i was growing up just across the state line so this area has been home for my whole life.

Last weekend DH and I went to a movie and dinner alone and I thought that was our anniversary celebration. We had planned to go to NOLA (New Orleans) for this weekend but in the end our babysitter bailed on us and we were forced to cancel those plans I was seriously looking forward to Burbon Street but oh well maybe later this year we can do it.
So anyway i wasnt expecting much of anything Saturday. Ends up DH got decided to take us all ( the kids too) over to Gulfshores for the day. He didnt want to leave the kids home alone when we would be an hour and a half drive away so they had to come too (oldest DD babysits sometimes if we are not going to be gone long). He took me to the Tanger Outlet Mall to buy whatever I wanted and then out to dinner at Lambert's Cafe .Last week i happened to be watching a show on the 10 best places to eat in the country and Lambert's chain got the #1 place. While we were watching it I said I wanna go to Lamberts and DH decided then to take me for our anniversary.
The shopping didnt go so well. I wasnt in the mood to shop. I had accidently paid my credit card out of the checking account not the savings account and bounced a check so I wasnt in a frivolus money spending mood. But for DH to take me to a huge outlet mall and tell me I can buy anything I want (EVEN SHOES ) is amazing . But even with DD14 pointing things out I just couldnt bring myself to by anything. After shopping and Dinner we went to a little Ice Cream shop that is out of the way of the touristy places and had Ice Cream. On the way home we stopped a Bass Pro shop that was just built that is more measeum the store and looked around. I bought some fresh made fudge there and was absolutely happy with nothing more then Dinner window shopping and my fudge.
Yesterday we went to friends to watch the Nascar race, I was bored , thats why I said I would update today I knew we had plans for Sunday.

YAY Glad we`re back on. I didn`t know it was going to be upgraded yesterday, though it was my puter that just showed "page not found" all day!!

when i count noses, i send out homing pigeons to find MIA homies.
we would have found you sooner or later......
that was a long time for the dis to be down wasn't it..
i usually say i am sending out the dog sleds but i don't think the doggies could swim across the pond, so pigeons are the next best thing to round up the homies...

I just found a video of the Jack's Carnivale of Carnage show from HHN 17 (gotta love youtube). It looked really fun. I can't wait for Oct!!!!!

i am totally and completely addicted to HHN. so are many of the other homies here.

the sad thing is after coming out of a cold harsh winter, i should be looking forward to summer and the wonderful weather.
instead i wish we could fast forward thru the spring and summer to get to october.

even the time clock by my avator is way off and i can't get it adjusted correctly.

hopefully all will be back to normal the way it should be very soon.
in the past when the dis has gone down for adjustments, things run slow when it goes back up but improves over the days.

if i still can't get back home here, i'll have to wait before i can read and post.

Bit of a blonde moment (well unnatural blonde) but how do you quote just part of someone`s post. I only know how to quote the whole post, bit of a simple dimple at times especially when it comes to computers!! where`s a 15 year old when you need them

Nah...light rain and yes it's good...every little bit helps. It's stopped at work in downtown Orlando now so the monsoon is over for now. I just hope we can get some rain soon...Call me crazy but I like green grass not brown.

Carole, i can answer this but have no idea how long it will take to post..

you know to hit the quote button on the right side of the box.

if you want to delete a portion of the post you quoted, you highlight that stuff and then hit delete.

what you will have of the person's quote is only what is showing then.

you post under that quote then.

to highlight, use the mouse to do that.

Afternoon everyone ...

Okay, I'm sure I might've mentioned that I love to cook, but just HATE, HATE, HATE, to bake.

Then along comes having to be gluten free....now, I HAVE to bake...usually the results are pretty good.

Today, I thought I'd make a bundt cake. I'm doing pretty good, go to pour it into the bundt pan that I've had for past 17 yrs (yes as long as I've been married,) and the pan is a plastic jello mold.

Aargh!!

So, I poured it into 2 bread pans and I baked for 50 mins, YES, I peeked, the beautiful cakes then collapsed.

But, they do taste good.

I think it's Monday.
