Morning all! Glad to see things are somewhat back to normal.

BTW...I woke up this morning for work and guess what? It's RAINING!

HOORAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No more fires, at least for a little while. I'm hopeing we get a little rain tonight. It woudl be great for the newly planted herb garden. I hope it grows well. We've never tried growing our own herbs before. We just had to fork out a lot of dough to get fresh stuff, or settle for dried herbs.

I started homeschooling the middle of last year with my oldest DD Homeschooling all 3 this year. Im already buying books for next year as well. Gotta start early
I live very close to Mobile... just outside it actually. I lived in MS some as i was growing up just across the state line so this area has been home for my whole life.



...Ends up DH got decided to take us all ( the kids too) over to Gulfshores for the day.

Hey, maybe we can meet for a field trip to the science museum in Mobile one of these days. How old are your kids? My oldest is 8, my youngest is 3.

Sounds like a great anniversary getaway. I love surprises!

I was busy yesterday so I missed the " down time "....youse guys got yerselves all in a stooshy !!

My pre midlife crisis is hitting the " lifes to short " phase me thinks !!

So, are planning your mid-life crises out during the pre-mid-life crises phase?? I'm too tired to do anything physically demanding, so I'll probably just shop too much for "young" thingies. You should see the red heels I just got in the mail....

Okay, I'm sure I might've mentioned that I love to cook, but just HATE, HATE, HATE, to bake.

ME TOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! Too much chemistry involved. You can't just smell and feel your way through it.

Then along comes having to be gluten free....now, I HAVE to bake...usually the results are pretty good.

Today, I thought I'd make a bundt cake. I'm doing pretty good, go to pour it into the bundt pan that I've had for past 17 yrs (yes as long as I've been married,) and the pan is a plastic jello mold.

Aargh!!

So, I poured it into 2 bread pans and I baked for 50 mins, YES, I peeked, the beautiful cakes then collapsed.

But, they do taste good.

I think it's Monday.

Hey, I really prefer cakes that fall a little. They're so moist! Almost gooey. Especially chocolate cakes. Yummalicious! Okay, now I want gooey chocolate cake....

My kids are: DD almost 15 (her ) (me ) DD 9 and DS6 almost 7

i received an email from special services.
i modified my rate and was told on the phone and by email from a supervisor that if i showed up at check in without my mailer, my rate would be changed to rack rate.

people are still receiving their mailers andy.
