WOW!!! Looks great!!! :thumbsup2 Are you finishing it to be extra bedrooms, or a rec room area?

Morning Homies!!!!

We might be getting some snow tonight :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

eh, this is a GOOD thing??

Speaking of farts, here's one I heard on the radio this a.m.

You think this recession is bad? Tiny Tim was so poor, he had to put a fart in his pocket just to get a "cent"...

:)

mac - ive printed off those tix before:thumbsup2 (always forget to use them, yet still print them lol)

good day all, im off to get my toe inspected, least i'll be home before the next storm hits, supposed to be another 1/2 a foot mixed in with ice storm...woo-hoo

i hope that toe gets better soon.
and i hope it doesn't fall off ..
:grouphug:

morning :wave2: homies..

circelli, that is going to be a lot of room for youse guys once it is finished.

are you planning to have a sleep over with all the homies when it is done?
i'm looking forward to the campfire in the basement, i'll bring the marshmellows...

Marcie - Youse guys have roundabouts. If you ask any UK driver its the one thing we dont get about US roads. If you miss a turn off you can go for miles but if youse had round about you just..well..turn round !!
Unfortunately, most Wisconsin drivers don't seem to "get" them either! :sad2:

they fighting for the car yet:rotfl:

Much more the opposite here. Matt spends a good amount of time complaining about all the "chauffeuring" he has to do, and I literally had to drag Stephen out to get him to drive at all. Matt's like "I can't wait for you to get your license so you can help out with the driving" and Stephen then insists he's not getting his license! :rotfl:

Circelli - I agree that the basement looks like it's going to be great. As someone else asked, what will the rooms be? A guest/bedroom, or more rec and computer/office space? I wish we had the time, money, and/or skill to finish our basement. Of course, then we'd have to find a place for all the "stuff" that's down there!

Morning Homies!!!!

We might not be!!!!
:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Actually, it's been 10 WHOLE DAYS since we had any measurable snow (ie snow I had to shovel!). Of course it's been below zero most of that time, and although I'm getting sick of the cold, I'll take it any day over shoveling! :thumbsup2

The first pic you see is going to be the "rec" room. There will be a bar, t.v. area and games area....my DH says we will get a pool table...apparently we are winning the lottery in the future!! :rotfl2: The second pic is of the bedroom and the "playroom", future bedroom of the littlest guy if he dares to sleep in the basement :lmao: There will be a bathroom as well in a corner that you can't see!!

My DH is the master of cleaning.....throw it out if you have it stored in a box!! :sad2: This is good in some cases BUT some of us women just have to keep things BECAUSE!!! ;)

Well it's looking great! I'm jealous! I wish we had a basement, I don't know why, but I love basements when you have families. I guess it just seems like a cozy area to me. :goodvibes

Accept when they're 100+ years old and all dark and skeery and stuff :scared:

Oh, that brings back memories of other houses in my growing-up years, and my siblings houses. You'll be amazed how fast it goes once he starts putting the sheet rock up.

:rotfl:

Went to the Pharmacy last night to get my vaccine for Hep A & B for when I am in Mexico....Our Drug Plan doesn't cover vaccines :sad2: oh well I will pay a couple hundred bucks to have the peace of mind that I should be safe from the food & water there!! ;)

Depending on how your job runs the insurance, you may be able to get them to pay for it. Talk to your insurance person and see if they'd consider changing that policy/coverage. Vaccines are a lot cheaper than treating the diseases. My husband has gotten his company's coverage to change several times because he talked to the insurance people and told them how much their lack of coverage was going to cost the company in the long run. I don't know if things in Canada are anything like they are in the States, but it's not the insurance company that dictates the coverage, it's the business that uses the insurance company to oversee their chosen coverage.

If it wasn't so icy out, I'd take them snowboarding, push them down the slope and run over and turn off the lift so they couldn't come home:upsidedow

:rotfl2: You really are a Mousketeer Thug, aren't you? I'm so not looking forward to my little boys becoming teenagers.... But at least I won't have to deal with teenage GIRLS!!!!!!!!!

I'm in! The sleepover party, not the fire. When are you having it, Circelli?

I can't go solo to Uni. My DH and I don't do well at all without each other. We barely survive a weekend apart, and if he goes somewhere for a week or more for work, we both just want to curl up and die. Our favorite part of vacations is date night. Then there are the kids who can't live without mom. We have no family closeby they can stay with. Brent would still have to work if I went solo, and there are only so many peeps I trust my diabetic kid with during the day. The 3 y/o would be a wreck. He hates life if I go shopping for an hour without him. So no solo vacations for me. Ever.

Good afternoon homies
Speaking of ice storms we had one to hit over night and woke up to a frozen tree limb hanging over the front door and roof :scared:
So I guess it will be there until the thaw out

We had a small leak in our basement and we figured since we were going to have to dig up our front porch, we might as well put on the porch of our dreams. The day the guys came to start on the outside, I walked back in the basement and there was DH with a sledgehammer tearing down the basement walls. "just making sure there's no mold" We lived w/o the walls for a year. Only took DH a few days to put up new walls. It took me about 2 weeks of sealing walls and repainting. Putting up the sheetrock for the new ceiling now that was a pain. We still need new floors, but I can't decide what to buy.

Tink I'm in same boat--my DH would probably die w/o me.

Glad you weren't hurt.:flower3:

Hmmm I guess I am having a Homey party...LOL!!:cheer2:

I have been waiting for my DH to start the basement forever it seems!!;)
Slow and steady wins the race....right???

At Christmas time we had my DH's family over, 2 out of 5 brothers BUT they each had 3 kids!!!:scared:
Our family room looked soooo small with all the people and a Christmas tree!!! I think that prompted my DH to start thinking the basement should be started for more room!!!:thumbsup2

Finished basements always seem so cozy to me too :grouphug:

A frozen one :scared1: and its raining on top of that now

You too huh? The ice just snapped the top of my magnolia tree I had planted for my grandmother. Although I am highly suspicious someone helped it "snap". :furious:

i hope that toe gets better soon.
and i hope it doesn't fall off ..:grouphug:
if it does im going to sell it on eBay, somebody would want it:lmao: ...maybe donate it to the HHN warehouse? i could be famous lol

my basement(s) r mostly finished, gives more living space & the tax man doesn't count it against u here cause it's mostly underground:cheer2:

leg warmers? run for the hills:moped:

marci - it's been awhile since i looked @ the rules in PA, think u have to be 18 to supervise a learning permit driver...im not looking forward to May:crazy2: jr's big day...maybe he'll flunk the book test:p

StL - when it thaws said branch may bop u in the head as u go out the door...give the boys a boost up & a hack saw-they'd probably luv it...avoid mayhem

dragging out to BB game, it's been a very long season...they're still in the hunt, how only playing 500 ball is beyond me...must've won most of their section games:confused3

Janet - here they have to be 21 or a legal guardian. Until he gets his license itself, he can only drive with DH or me, period. He can have his siblings in the car, but no one else. (Oh, and of course his Drivers' Ed teacher  ).

Once they get the license, then for then next 9 months they can drive still with family, or alone, but only ever one non-family member. You can get a waiver to have a second adult in the car (non-mom/dad) with a notary - ie. if he had to drive his grandparents daily to the hospital or something. Other than that, still family & 1. Guess they figure it's okay if they kill off the immediate family! :rotfl: They also can't drive between midnight and 5am during this time period.

After 9 months (where Matt is now), they can drive whatever, whenever, etc. However, if they get anything (ticket, accident, etc.) before age 18, then they start that 9 months over again (plus get double points).

Incidentally, Royce will be gone this weekend and the boys have Snow Ball (big formal winter dance). Since Matt's now able to drive after midnight, we were discussing what time he'll be home (he'll be driving Stephen home first by midnight, shortly after the dance itself ends). Of course all Matt's friends are partying afterwards so I asked him what time he thought was realistic. He asked what I thought. We both decided we'd write down a time and compromise. I said 3am and he said 2am! :rotfl2: So we compromised on 2:30, but a bit backwards!

Hi all!!Beautiful weather today down here..
Dont worry, come Saturday morning Floridians will start complaining again. We are expecting freezing temps again.. Till then I'm going to enjoy this Hi's of 80 and lows of 50!!

hush !
it's been snowing here since 1:00......

yes, i believe you find that in the book of Leviticus. ::yes::

no you don't.
you end up putting a lot of junk in there.
and then the husband does his monthly ritual of screaming, "why can't i ever find anything down here."

if i could just get him to have his hissy fits only once or twice a year, i could live with that..:crazy2:

we have a quad level house with a half basement..

Good afternoon homies

how close are you to Paducah Ky?
it's been declared a disaster area there since last night. even jim c. of the weather channel was broadcasting from there last night.
they have never had the ice and sleet storms before like this..
my g'ma was from that area...

We had a small leak in our basement and we figured since we were going to have to dig up our front porch

STOP !!!

don't say anymore.
i'm so sick of leaks.......

my upstairs bathroom was fixed for a leak from the faucet and i thought it was completely finished this past Saturday.

today, directly under that tub area are puddles of water in the downstairs half bath room.

how do i know it's not from something over flowing you ask?

i looked up at that down stairs bath and see a hole in the ceiling.

the contractor and i are getting to know each other quite well as of today....

do sell it as a prop.
state it was once used by Lon Chaney

our laws are like marci's except only one person that is non relative allowed in the car until the driver's 20 bd.

ours is so much like yours marci except the dr license is gone once you have an accident and under 20.
you can legally drive at age 21 then.
same thing for 2 tickets in a 18 month time period.

but, wisconsin does not require car insurance.
and many do not get any, not even liability.

the law states you do not have to have auto insurance if you have assets to cover loss in damage or claims.

i always pray i don't get hit by any car with wisconsin plates as i am a couple of miles from the border.

watching AI tonight.....
