The sun is out! I repeat... THE SUN IS OUT!!!

That is a big damn deal right now. We've had cloudy, foggy, misty, crummy weather for almost 2 months. Not much in the actually rain dept, however, which would have made the yucky gray days worth it. NE Georgia is still under drought conditions.

Katie, that is a beautiful dress. The rouching in the front is very flattering to your figure. Yes, I watch What Not To Wear.

Patty, I think I missed your engagement. When did he pop the question? How? I need details! Congrats to you both. You'll have to post pics of your wedding dress when you go shopping. I like to re-live the excitement of wedding planning vicariously through others.


Sorry about your team Lori. Since you don't get pro ball in your area, I was rooting for them. Those folks in Florida can always cheer for the Bucs or Dolphins, but the Sooners are all you get. Bummer.

I have been know to root for the Gators, however... when they are playing the Bulldogs. Being a GA Tech fan, it's the rule. You root for the Jackets and whoever is playing against Georgia.

Hi homies-

I tried 2 times yesterday to post and my posts went poof on me before I hit "enter". Ugh!
Watching "Man of La Mancha" now. Never seen it before. It is free on On Demand movies,so I thought to watch it. My kids will be learning about the Middle Ages and the Renaissance periods this Spring. Parts of the movie are somewhat silly. My parents had the record album when I was growing up.
And we know Sophia Loren is a beautiful woman with beautiful features.

Gotta go and help out with a postponed holiday party at school this afternoon.

Went shopping for food at Target because the supermarket looked like we were never going to leave the house again and all the food in the world was going away somewhere . All I wanted was eggs and milk really .

He popped the question the night of August 31st on the beach. Yes, he knelt down in the sand and everything He also knew he had to ask my mom and dad before proposing, so Katie, Matt, me and Matt's brother went out on the jetski that morning and that's when he went to the house and had an hour long talk with my parents! He hadn't even told his own parents! We had to go to them the next day to tell them Oooooo, and the ring is soooooo pretty! I haven't posted any pics of it yet, but it's white gold with four round diamonds on each side set into the ring and a 1 carat heart diamond on a (what I've been told it is) tiffany style setting.

My sister and I are paying for our own weddings, so I guess that's why the feelings are different, but my mom has insisted that she pay for the dress, veil, any other headpieces like tiaras and I know she wants to pay for other odds and ends too!

Hello, beloved Homies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here's a condensed pre-TR.

Checking in from the wonderful Hard Rock Hotel. Our first day in Universal was full of fun, until we went to dinner at Tchoup Chop. We ate spoiled sashimi and spent the entire night puking our guts out. So today we dragged ourselves to UO at 11:00 AM and went to all the shows and quiet rides/attractions instead of the coasters at IoA like we had planned. It's nice to be able to adapt. And sleep in.

As always, the staff here is wonderful and making everything as perfect as possible. Jonathan threw up all down his shirt right before we got off the water taxi. While Jared and Brent went to T2, I went looking for a shirt for Jonathan. Marilyn Monroe posed for a picture with us, and was trying to get Jonathan to smile and talk. When he kept being grouchy, I told her he wasn't feeling well and needed a shirt. She asked a few questions, told me where the best bets for shirts closeby would be, and off I went to go shopping.

A few minutes later, she came up behind me in the Universal Store, put her arm around me, and told me she had arranged for a free shirt for Jonathan across the street from the place we had taken the picture together. She had told them to arrange for the shirt and then chased me down in high heels! As we went back for the shirt, a line of people started trailing us so they could get pictures. In her perfect imitation-of-Marilyn voice, she turned and smiled (still walking and talking to me), waved, and let Jimmy the bodyguard tell them they could have a picture taken in a few minutes, but Marilyn had some business to take care of. All of this was done in perfect character and left me thinking, "WOW!!!!!!!!!!! This is unreal!" I was really taken aback by the genuine concern for a sick little boy with a nasty shirt and his overly tired mom.

I love this place. I need to call Guest Services about Marilyn tomorrow morning. I was too sick to remember I could today. She and Jimmy and the people at the store absolutely rock! Tomorrow I'll remember to put the notebook for TM praises in my bag, I promise.
