I really really really wanna do HHN, but the price tag for Disney sounds really good. lol We'll see, cause if I can't afford the deposit by Friday it'll have to be HHN (the buy 4 get 3 free ends on the 20, well right now it does).

morning from up here too...

Well, you're all up early! :confused3

Mac - I hope you're not up on the chimney like your smiley in this weather! Currently 4, with a wind chill of -20 here! But that's okay - it's supposed to go up to a balmy 5!!

why marci, i believe it will be warmer today where you are than here....!!

yes, and this really cold weather puts my grinch in a cranky mood, like he should be....

Dilema: Going to HHN this year.....or doing Disney in June for right at $1000 including airfare (if I can afford the deposit with my paycheck Fri)? I hate choices, don't you?

trust me, always nice to have choices, way better than ultimatiums:laughing:

either option will be great fun!

HHN is a one of a kind experience:thumbsup2 , yet i'd be willing to venture that it'll be around for many years

the bargin hunter in me would offer the possibility of booking the 'cheaper' Disney trip this year & starting a HHN fund with the $ ud save (naturally adding to it every month;))...goal to allow u to maybe visit both HHN & disney next year.:goodvibes

seize the week all...im on a road trip up north to pick up workboots for my mr who is off work until after Xmas...why the company picked a place so far away is beyond me:confused3 at least it'll be nearly 60 today:yay: and i may be able to wrangle a free lunch out of the deal:idea:

Morning all! In a rather foul mood today, so cleaning and decorating should help me out!! Hope you all have a great day!

To the mysterious lurker - please sign up for the DIS and contact you-know-who. Sorry, but all of these innuendos have really turned off alot of good DIS friends.

Thank you!

HI to all :wave2:

Katie- I like your pics :thumbsup2

Bonny- like your cold jokes :thumbsup2

Got things to do today and this week.

I will post when I receive the ornament.

Have a good day everyone :)

Janet - Yes Sammie is just a sophomore. He is amazing! Congrats to your Steelers. I saw all the crap over the call to end the game. Don't know what the big deal is. Even if it wasn't a touchdown they would have had the ball on the 3 inch line. They would have had a touchdown on the next play.

Marcie - I thought about you guys while we were hanging our cute little Packer snowman & bulb. We had to cancel two trips this year, one for Mikey to have shoulder surgery and one beause my oldest & my granddaughter are going to go with us and they couldn't go over Christmas. With all that said we are going in July. Are you going to be able to get the guys to go again?

Katie - I am still waiting for pics of that house!

Lori - it would probably just be Stephen and I. We're looking at trying to go for free dining in late Aug/early Sept. Our guys don't start school until after Labor Day, which is really late this year (Sept 7) so we'd look at flying home over Labor Day weekend. Nobody else is really interested in going (well, Royce would, but someone has to stay home and be the responsible adult!). Just thinking right now and probably won't do anything until we get the school schedules for sure and see if they even offer free dining.

Sharon - So sorry you lost your internet service. I hope your guests get their power back soon. I know to well how they feel.

Marcie - I hope you & Stephen can get that trip in. I know he is the only one that really enjoys it with you. Serves those other two right to get left behind. Too bad that Royce will have to stay behind with them.

Hi Lori - nice to see you posting!

Almost forgot to share this with you all. Remember a while back I told you one of the contestants on Survivor is a teacher at the local school where I live? Guess what?

HE WON THE MILLION DOLLARS!!!!!!

How cool is that??!! Could not happen to a nicer guy!

Good afternoon homies :goodvibes

I completely forgot you had said that earlier. Congrats to him! It is great to know that a good person won!

Hello all!

For all of you in the colder climes, I send you warm thoughts! It's weirdly warm here, I took a walk at lunch and didn't even need a coat. I'm telling you, if you want it warm, buy a snow blower! :goodvibes

We returned from our weekend at the Great Wolf Lodge. The kids had a fabulous time although my oldest (11) still refuses to go on waterslides. My youngest (8) didn't have any problem with them though! The kids both did "MagiQuest", an interactive game played throughout the hallways of the hotel. My son in particular loved it!

But.... does anyone else have vacations all planned in their minds and then things don't quite go how you planned? My daughter caught a cold just before leaving for the weekend and coughed all weekend... My hubby just "wasn't into it" and spent quite a bit of time in the room, reading....

I'm working hard on remembering the good parts. And I'm feeling quite sad that it's over.. I guess it's typical end-of-vacation blues.... Ack.....

Smiles, Elyse
