I am not a happy person today. Starting today, and for a limited time, Sam's Club has $200 Disney gift cards for $180 limit of 4. The system will only let me purchase 2 because I purchased 2 at regular price on Monday and it is counting those 2 towards my 4 card limit. I called, was on hold, finally got through to a person and. was disconnected right after explaining my problem. I tried the online chat, but got disconnected when I was next up in the queue. Called again and finally got through to someone who said he would submit a ticket and see if they can reset the limit. WHen I bought the 2 cards on Monday I did not know that they would be on sale today.

Halloween was a bust for us. We left a bowl of candy outside and when to dinner. Most of it was still there when we got back. One neighbor said only 2 kids came to her house. Dh took the leftovers to work today.

Today is errand and cleaning day. Oddly enough I need to go to Sam's Club to get some baby wipes for another diaper/wipe shower we are having for another couple at church. Also need to go to Walmart and Hobby Lobby.

Set another plate on the table with the steaks.
If I leave now and walk fast, I will be there for the steak dinner…

lol.....anytime mac!! The steaks are huge, I think each T Bone is around 20oz, so one between two of us will do nicely!!! Can`t wait and Tom is firing up the grill outside to cooke them as they`re just huge.

I think it`ll be easy getting them to rare!!

A bit chilly outside here.

I got up early as workers were to be at my house at 8 this morning.

Crew just waited outside in the drizzle rain for the boss to show up.

We are having the deck boards replaced

Noticed the crew left….
The boxed supplies have not been opened.


No problem… they will show up eventually

Yuk, drizzle, seems to be a common weather right now!!

The temps fell yesterday after some rain. It now feels like Fall here.

I did have my Halloween Party for the family yesterday. Albeit it little bit of a strip down version. I had not planned to have it until hubby looked at me and said what are we having to eat at the Halloween Party. So I scrambles for a few days to pull everything together.

We had Crab Rangoon dip, pretzels and cheese, pizza, Italian hoagie’s, chili, taco’s, chips and salsa, hot dogs and fruit.

Everyone had a good time and I sent plenty of desserts home with everyone.

Now to de-Halloween the house and get the Christmas decorations up. That might take a few days. Will have it done sometime next week.

Hubby is slowly getting better. He still tires very easily. He was happy to see everyone yesterday evening.

We had a few more Trick or Treaters yesterday. Grandson was handing out the candy when the door bell would ring. I heard a group of little ones singing “Trick or Treat smell my feet give me something good to eat” to P and he was laughing and giving them candy.

I give out full size candy bars and the kiddos are so happy to get those.

I made treat bags up for the family with some goodies too.

Our next door neighbors yard people showed up at 7:30 this morning and started with the loud leaf blowers. What happened to being courteous to your neighbor’s…….oh well.

I have a pedicure appt today. Looking forward to having happy feet.

It`s so good to hear your husband is progressing nicely, must be a huge relief to you after such a surgery. And glad you managed your party, food looks good and I`m sure everyone had fun.

Still a lovely day here, sun has been shining all day and maybe just getting lower and a little duller now but it`s just after 3pm so it`ll be getting darker soon.

Got our butchers order, and picked up a few things they had out too, some beef and sweet chilli sausages which we love now and again and some more of their smoked bacon. They cure and smoke it all onsite and it sells so quickly so we timed it nice.

Came home and got it all put away then headed down to the beach for a walk, it was beautiful and not too busy considering it is half term here for schools. Tomorrow we plan to get up early and go back walking on the beach with some friends and the dogs, will see how we feel in the morning.

I do need to make a pepper sauce for the steak, well, mine anyway, Tom is not a fan of sauces for good steaks, I don`t mind a little dip, I never cover the steak in sauce though.

Mid afternoon cuppa coming up and a rather sad looking cupcake that`s supposed to look like dracula.....looks more like a cut finger!! I tried.

So many repeat visitors who would tell us they use our display for background pics of their kids for Xmas cards etc.

Well, I have left all the packing and extra things to do today. I packed some clothes and then decided I packed too much (yes, Carole, I really did pack too much this time, lol), so I redid all the clothes. I must have packed for 7 to 10 days instead of 4 1/2 days with 2 travel days (and who cares how you look on those days

My son will be here to pick me up at around 4PM, after his work day. We are driving the 4 hours plus to Minneapolis to spend the night, then an early flight to Florida!!!! That works out better than trying to coordinate with our small airport. It has only one gate and they change flights randomly which is no fun when you have a connecting flight to catch, so it's the long drive for us.

I have 3 loads of laundry I'm doing before I go, and making chili for Roger too.
So, have got to go and quit lounging around. I'm looking forward to lounging around at Universal! Warm weather, palm trees, and doing whatever I want= Heaven

lol....I knew you`d overpack.....attagirl!!!! I think I pack the same for a two week trip as I would if I was staying a month again!!

I`m so excited for you, this trip seemed to take forever to get here and then all of a sudden you`re off!!! Have a lovely evening tonight at the airport hotel and again, "safe travels" and enjoy that sunshine and heat, but more importantly enjoy that time with your son

It was dark at 3.40pm today and again, you could feel that temperature drop like a stone outside about an hour earlier as soon as the sun got very low.

Made some coleslaw, salad and triple frying chunky chips (fries) later, while Tom grills that beast of a steak. I`ll probably have the filet part and he`ll have the other slab!!

Made a little caesar salad to have right now as we are a little peckish, I admit to store bought dressing here, yes, I should have made my own!!

Planning to watch the original Omen again tonight I think, continuing the scary theme a little longer. Although we expect to hear fireworks going off in the distance from about now and for another week. Guy Fawkes night or bonfire night is Tuesday so idiots are setting them off all the time. We`re lucky where we are they don`t disturb us too much, we can see them in the distance but for folks who have to deal with this and poor animals too, it`s more than annoying!

Can you tell I hate fireworks!!! I am The Grinch apparently.

finally getting a chance to stop in!!!! Happy Friday!!!!!! I don't think I've been so happy for Friday to come as I am today. It's been a hell week here in the unit.

Our unit manger's previous behavior I had heard rumblings about came out this week. Her targets this week were admins ( myself ) and the radiation therapists. I witnessed a rt in tears in the lunch room, after an episode with her one day. It's now documented, with emails saved. I'm surprised she hasn't turned before now. Anyways, it's been a week

Halloween was great. Dd brought gd over for her treats. We were over the moon. We only had about 10 kids stop for candy. My co-worker had close to 300. But since gd was coming over - Grammie decorated outside and pulled out all our blow up decorations and gd had carved pumpkins on Monday with ds'.

The weather has been holding out. It's been cool, but no white stuff falling from the sky. I'll take it.

We moved dd into their house on Tuesday ( I don't know what day I posted last and they are all moved in and most of the boxes unpacked and now are settling into their new home. I love that she had an awesome kitchen with lots of USABLE counter space. I find that many of the new builds seem to have small kitchens with very little usable counter space.

Pumpkin carving results Mine is supposed to be Cheshire Cat. If you squint and turn head sideways you might catch the resemblance. Lil made a fancy ghost one. Nice day with her, has been some time

That is a beautiful tree!!!! And you still have green. Not much green here. Mostly icky brown grass and leafless trees. Brown everywhere. Then others wonder why I dislike fall and winter. Everything is colorless brown.

There is a man who keeps calling trying to schedule an appointment, but my boss is not taking new Medicare clients. He insists his plan isn’t Medicare, but his insurance company says it is. The man is annoyingly persistent. I don’t know why my boss is the only therapist he will consider. I have already told him that she has a waitlist and it could be several weeks or longer before we can schedule.

Hair appointment was lovely!!! Four hours of complete and utter pampering and relaxation and a new gorgeous style (even if I say so myself) shorter again with a darker shade for winter approaching. It`s shiny and swooshy and my bestest friend says it`s a little sassy her words not mine!!!!

I love those type of days!!!!! It's amazing how a salon day can make you feel so much better.

(I was totally prepared for it but Mr Mac has eaten half of what I have in the bowls)

That is what happens if I don't hide the candy when I buy it. I will only bring small amounts out if dh is having a craving. He has a huge sweet tooth.

Then home for a deli bought pizza, salad bottle of red wine and the original 1978 Halloween movie tonight!!!

That sounds like the perfect way to spend Halloween.

My boss finally spoke to him and yes, he does have a Medicare plan. He was actually seeking therapy for his wife. Boss explained that she just didn’t have room in her schedule (which is true) to give his wife the attention she needs. Thankfully he found another therapist.

Not sure which tv special I enjoy more, the halloween or the Xmas one…watched since I was a child every year.

I love the Thanksgiving one too. Haven’t seen any of them in years though.

Today wasn’t nearly as productive as I wanted it to be. I spent far too much time with Sam’s club. I texted my boss and she let me buy 4 cards using her account. When I tried to check out my credit card was declined. Crazy since the card had a zero balance on it. I called and found out that the purchase had been flagged as fraud. I approved it and then it went through. About 5 minutes later I got a text message asking me to verify the purchase.
I got my errands completed but have not started housework yet. It will be dinner time soon. I have white bean chicken chili in the crock pot. It was a request from B.

Good to know the family have settled in nicely. Yes, I can`t believe the size of kitchens these new places have, some are so tiny and no room for a table in some of them. Hope they`re very happy where they are now and lovely you can see your grandbaby often!!

We have a lot of evergreen trees and bushes around us too, so it never gets completely brown looking around us. But, I feel your pain, I much prefer when everything has bloomed and full.

I thought the new Omen was rubbish, a complete and utter abomination to call it a prequel to such a classic. But.....so many loved it and said it was excellent when I read the reviews afterwards lol....so who knows!

True about the explosives background, but doesn`t stop friends who do love fireworks calling us Grinches lol. Not many of them bother with them now though.

We did get up early this morning and walk, it was a little chilly so I was glad we had very warm clothing on. It was lovely and glad we did go out early as it is now dull and grey outside.

We all came back here for brunch, a smaller one with just four of us but the usual offerings and lots and lots of tea as we were all cold when we came in. We won`t need lunch now and planning a chicken stir fry for tonight, nice and spicy.

Will catch some of the Brazillian qualifying today and Kyle again is coming over to watch the race with us tomorrow, going to do a Prime Rib and all the trimmings for dinner and will make a chocolate cake too although maybe a small one as he has another marathon to do in months time, so again training and eating very healthily. I wish I had his focus.

Got a few jobs to do today, keep us out of mischief for a couple of hours, time for another cuppa I think.

Cats will come out of hiding when they get hungry.

Going to be noisy for a few hours so will turn tv up higher.

Happy Saturday. Today we decided to upgrade our phones. We now have the iPhone 16 plus.

This afternoon I went to tea with a group of ladies from church. This will probably be my last visit since the tearoom is closing in December. The owner is going to be selling a cookbook later this month. I plan to buy 2.

picked up ingredients to make two more cream soups on Monday. no solid food for a couple of days after procedure next week. i will probably manage to gain weight

tomorrow heading to carpet store to help DS pick out a bound one for a BR he's turning into a gaming area.

that afternoon, grilling tbones for my three sons . no girls allowed...cook doesn't count lol

first time for me having an issue that i can’t solve quickly
charade I was about to stop dealing with the iphone but did one last try

when i was posting in the boards, iphone did not take the command.
it just sat there like dead weight
turned it off and waited 10 minutes and tried again to post.

No responce again as would not take a command
3rd attempt the iphone did take command

first it stalled and then what I wrote disappeared
started over but it froze again

iphone is only 8 and a half years old



To write all this out Using an older phone of 10 years old which is another T-mobile
don’t use it that much as the iphone is heavy and not light weight.

not fond of the older I phone but at least it takes commands for now.

it’s heavy and runs slow and has the automatic lock if not using it with in a set time frame
and it’s heavy, not light weight

i favor the lighter weight t-mobile phones

Never experienced this before so have spent 30 more minutes to start over

iphone is 8 and half years old.
maybe an issue it has aged out?

will go to the t-mobile store tomorrow and get a sharp shooter that knows more than me

i have 3 iphones from t-mobile
May need to switch to the light weight ones
