Those are soooo cute! I used to LOVE seeing all the holiday decor. I still miss working there and creating displays with all the pretty baubles and decor.

I have not been able to post as much anymore either. Life does get in the way at times.

Oh, so cute. He's into helicopters, plans and trucks now? They change their minds frequently don't they. My 3 y/o GGS now loves anything to do with horses! So he is getting a collection of all kinds of horses now and he is soooo happy! Love those little ones.

It is so cute to see them cultivate their interests in mechanical things and animals of various kinds. The littles ones are truly a blessing in our old age. They remind us of the true beauty of life don’t they.

We didn't do a garden this year, so we are going to the Mennonites garden sell tomorrow and get their wonderful fresh, clean, healthy produce. It's much easier than caring for a garden and the produce is much better than what we can do.

It is so nice you have good produce close by to purchase.

Think my problem is I’m trying to master both systems at the same time. Going to concentrate on DL first.

Their old max pass system was easy, could stack the return times. Supposedly, it can be possible still there if rides “go down” & you get a recovery FP???

I wish Disney would simplify there ride situation. It should not be so complicated.

So, we made our connection! We got to the gate for connection just as they started loading! Great I thought, but was worrying about luggage making it! And it did!
Got in late last night, buy the time we settled in our room, it was 3am. Slept in this morning and headed downstairs when we woke for Amatista breakfast buffet. Normally I don’t do breakfast buffet as I feel I can’t eat $30 worth of food, and so pretty expensive for bacon & eggs! But we enjoyed it.
Wait times were pretty good, just didn’t have the time. Had to get back to our room to have a bit of a rest and shower before dinner.

Sue good to hear you made your connecting flights and arrived with all your luggage.

Love the plate, super gift for anyone who loves that movie. Those bracelets must have taken some time to do.

Almost cried hearing these two express their gratitude for their mom. Knew the kids did it, first time they joined in speaking. It's a lovely tradition they have in that school district.

So nice to get dressed up and be treated to a nice night out by your sons. So sweet that they shared their gratitude to you. You deserve it.

Dentist this afternoon, both of us have a check up at the same time, but not much else going on today. Little bit of shopping, don`t need much though, no lunch out today with the gang, think that`s been postponed, we`re all kinda busy today.

Woke up this morning and it is 55 degrees. High today will be 77. Then will be 90 by Friday. Have had an interesting weather summer so far here. Next couple of days here will be beautiful for outside projects.

We have a lawn guy here repairing the lawn by our new driveway that was torn up when the old driveway was torn out and new one poured.

My dad and half sister were in town for a few days so I had them over for dinner Sunday and we went out to dinner yesterday evening.

Our son had his surgery on his face yesterday morning. My daughter in law and I were with him. It was more extensive than mine, but they got all the cancer. It broke my heart that he has such a long incision. Doc says it will heal nicely and fade. I’am going over this afternoon to take off the pressure dressing and redress it. He was trooper as always.

Have lots going on here. Plan is to leave here for HHN vacation in 15 days. It may or may not happen. I’am ok either way. Sister K is coming with me again this year if all goes well and things settle down.

Watching little J this morning so need to get scooting out the door.

Dentist called around midday and cancelled our appointments today, suited us ok, she said the dentist said as he`s seeing me beginning of next month, no point in me coming in, Tom said he`d wait too, so free afternoon now.

Going to sort out some drawers in the bedroom I think, not really fussed on going out anywhere as it is blowing a hoolie out there! I think Tom is going to watch some star wars....he`s like a kid with a new toy with all this SW stuff on Disney+!!

Curry is slowly simmering away, don`t usually use the crock pot for curry, but will give it a bash, smells nice anyway.

Quick hump day stop in!

Busy day today on the unit. Our RO is playing catch up after being away for 2 weeks for vacation. And our casual gal is not in again until next week.

Quiet night last night. I had to change my dinner - as it was super windy last night and the grill would not have stayed lit. So it was butter chicken last night.

I did get my walk in. I didn't want to go, and promised myself that I would do the short 20 minute route. Then I got walking, and decided to do the 30 minute loop. Then changed it to my long 45 minute loop. I tried to stay out of the windy parts as best as I could. But I was glad once I had it done. 2.5 miles done last night. I made my daily 10,000 steps for the day!

Had a great time. Pretty there, golf course a tough one with rolling hills, can see miles in distance from the dining room

Mr Mac is giving them the tour of our town today.
My guess is it will be 3 diaper changes before they return later this afternoon.
We ran out of room in the car so I stayed home.

Told them to eat lunch out and will decide much later where we will order the evening dinner tonight.

So they came over about 2:30 pm and we got the pressure dressing off and the incision looked really good.

We came up with a dressing plan for caring for his incision. The doc gave instructions and sent him home with supply’s and I had more supply’s here so he is fixed up.

He got lots of mom and dad hugs and of course so did our daughter in law. She is so sweet too.

I always proofread what I post and it never fails that another word pops into replace certain words during the post reply process. I put my son had more extensive work done on his face then I did and it posted more expensive. I fixed it, but that is strange.

My dad is doing good. He is getting around with a walker now and he is still as feisty
as ever. He will be 88 in October.

I arrived home about 2 pm from my half day with little J. We went to Target today for our Starbucks. He likes the apple juice and cookies there and of course I get a coffee. He wanted to look at in his words “vehicles”in the toy department. We did leave with toy helicopter which is another addition to his other helicopters, planes, space ships, trucks and cars. I can’t say no to puppy eyes and please.

I’am hoping the trip is doable too. I do like getting away in September and enjoying a little down time and of course a little HHN. Fingers and toes crossed.

Quick good night post. Super slow day at work today and it didn’t help that I was very sleepy. I didn’t make it to the gym for my walk.

I may have found a good shirt for Universal. It’s going to be hard to top the not fast, not furious one.

Sunday - we hit the lake. We had a great day - with lots of fish caught and released. We managed catch a few that were in the size limits that are set here. I fried up half of our catch - and froze the other half. I might pull it out later this week for another quick meal one night.

Sounds like a very successful day. Fishing is something I have never done.

cannot wait to see marvel land & maybe catch Deadpool

We loved the Marvel campus. I’m curious to see what they are going to add to it.

I know some folks think it`s silly to pay almost a $100 a year for them to host the pictures, but they are always fantastic whenever the rare issue comes up.

That’s not really a lot considering how many photos you share. Does anyone offer a free photo service anymore?

Birthday dinner last night was good, and was from my favorite Chinese food place. Kids gifted me a new soccer jersey, so will be sporting that this weekend. We are a soccer family.

Thirsty Thursday is here, and yay, another train day long trip coming up before the week ends. Little one coming with. Tired feet coming up, as miles to walk in the city just over an hour train ride from my city,

Thankfully that Northern air is no more starting tomorrow. Warmer days next week. About time. And hehe, last night DH asked if this coming Monday is Labor Day. Nope. But the Monday after next week, where in little one has her birthday, that following Monday is Labor Day. August is flying by fast.

Doesn`t a good walk make you feel amazing!! Walking is about the only exercise we do as we are not the energetic types at all, but to be able to walk is wonderful. And having the beach right beside is amazing, so we do take advantage of it. Yep, 10,000 steps minimum is fantastic Pumpkin.

Such good news it went well Robbie, he`ll do just fine now, and he has plenty of folks looking out for him.

I did see the word should have been extensive, yes, sometimes autocorrect is a pest!!

And some nice time spent with the little guy and glad to hear dad is doing ok. Having a walker will be ideal to help him around, but it`s good he is still getting places!!

I didn`t think it was expensive for hosting pics, but a few folks have said they wouldn`t pay for it, I have no clue if there are free hosting sites anymore, but we`re happy with Smugmug, very easy site to navigate and use.

Well, we had a lovely late sleep this morning, slept till around 7.30 which was lovely. We weren`t walking as it was extra windy, so snuggled back down when we heard the wind. However it is warm and we just had a downpour that would rival Orlando 3pm storms. We had been out shopping and just got back in before it started. Weird weather as it is just so humid. The rain is off now but there are still a lot of clouds up there hovering ominously.

Cajun chicken wraps coming up for lunch, will add some philly cheese to make it creamier, then lamb shanks for dinner tonight, simmering away in the slow cooker with red wine, garlic, rosemary, more garlic and rosemary and cranberry sauce, can`t wait to have that tonight, it just falls off the bone.

No plans this afternoon, Tom is off volunteering then I`m nipping out myself tomorrow to get him some little gifts and need some wrapping paper and gift bags too. He doesn`t want a fuss for his birthday, but he`s getting a fuss.....dinner out of course and lots of treats as he deserves them!!

Cup of tea before lunch is ready I think.....

Good morning! I woke up this morning and the temperature in the house was 2 degrees lower than what the a/c was set for. It feels wonderful outside right now, but unfortunately the temps are going to go back up again.

I got an email about Grand Helios this morning. Looks awesome. Unfortunately no specific opening date yet and no prices.

Birthday dinner last night was good, and was from my favorite Chinese food place. Kids gifted me a new soccer jersey, so will be sporting that this weekend. We are a soccer family.

The opposite of my dh who loves a fuss. I guess I can’t really blame him since he has an unfortunate Christmas Eve birthday.

I have been at work less than 20 minutes and am already bored out of my mind. We only had 2 pieces of mail and neither are claim checks so I have no payments to post today. I need to do some reminder texts and then figure out what to do for the rest of the day.

Early morning pit stop!

Another cool morning here. It is supposed to get to a decent temperature today. But we can definitely tell - no more nice HOT summer days I am already looking forward to the nice warmer/hotter temps of Orlando.

I guess son-in-law and gd are coming here a day early!!! They were not to come until tomorrow. So now I will be scrambling after work to get their room set up. DD is not coming and enjoying a weekend at home alone. Son-in-law's great uncle passed away and his Grandma wants him to come for the funeral. SIL figured he would come and spend an extra day or two with his dad who is flying in here today too for the funeral. So I get to spend extra time with our gd. She asked for bagels for breakfast and chocolate milk. Grammie always has chocolate milk for her

We went out for a nice steak dinner to celebrate our anniversary - hence why I didn't do anything last night. I did put the sheets into the wash so they would be clean for today. But I was way toooooooooooooo full to be much else last night.

I'm thinking burgers and salad (maybe some fries for ds and gd) for dinner tonight. They will be here around dinner time. I already placed a quick grocery order to pick up on my way home from work. Gotta have some snack for gd.

I always tell myself - some steps are better than none. That's why I have a 20 minute route, a 30 minute route and the full route lol. If I can get out and do even 20 minutes - I call that a win!

The end of my weeks are like that here. It is always a little slower Thursday/Friday. Thursday is review day - so all pt's will see the RO after their treatment to see how they are tolerating treatment as well as if they have any questions or concerns they can bring them up then. Friday - we have no consults and almost never have any CT's happening that day either. It's only a treatment day. And lots of times - it's not even a full day of treatments - as some people may have finished earlier in the week - so we usually have some extra breaks those days.

Well, I should get a few things completed off my to-do list

I have been at work less than 20 minutes and am already bored out of my mind. We only had 2 pieces of mail and neither are claim checks so I have no payments to post today. I need to do some reminder texts and then figure out what to do for the rest of the day.

I think those rooms will look better in the flesh than in pictures, but the whole hotel impresses me, I think we`ll enjoy a little stay there.

Yep, if your birthday is Christmas Eve it would be easy for it to be overlooked slightly I would imagine. It is nice to spoil one`s partner though on special occasions.

Early morning pit stop!

Another cool morning here. It is supposed to get to a decent temperature today. But we can definitely tell - no more nice HOT summer days I am already looking forward to the nice warmer/hotter temps of Orlando.

I guess son-in-law and gd are coming here a day early!!! They were not to come until tomorrow. So now I will be scrambling after work to get their room set up. DD is not coming and enjoying a weekend at home alone. Son-in-law's great uncle passed away and his Grandma wants him to come for the funeral. SIL figured he would come and spend an extra day or two with his dad who is flying in here today too for the funeral. So I get to spend extra time with our gd. She asked for bagels for breakfast and chocolate milk. Grammie always has chocolate milk for her

We went out for a nice steak dinner to celebrate our anniversary - hence why I didn't do anything last night. I did put the sheets into the wash so they would be clean for today. But I was way toooooooooooooo full to be much else last night.

I'm thinking burgers and salad (maybe some fries for ds and gd) for dinner tonight. They will be here around dinner time. I already placed a quick grocery order to pick up on my way home from work. Gotta have some snack for gd.


I hope you are able to make it work! I break away from the everyday is good for us.

I always tell myself - some steps are better than none. That's why I have a 20 minute route, a 30 minute route and the full route lol. If I can get out and do even 20 minutes - I call that a win!

The end of my weeks are like that here. It is always a little slower Thursday/Friday. Thursday is review day - so all pt's will see the RO after their treatment to see how they are tolerating treatment as well as if they have any questions or concerns they can bring them up then. Friday - we have no consults and almost never have any CT's happening that day either. It's only a treatment day. And lots of times - it's not even a full day of treatments - as some people may have finished earlier in the week - so we usually have some extra breaks those days.

Well, I should get a few things completed off my to-do list

I had a feeling there was an anniversary this month!!! Glad you had a nice meal out, some things are just worth celebrating in style!!

Nice the family came early, but shame your SiL`s great uncle passed, but it is nice you get to spend some extra time with the little gal!!

Weird day with the weather. Heavy rain and high winds have kind of dissipated now but it`s kind of bla.....neither summer nor autumn weather!

Fruit trees are a little slow this year, although plums are starting to flourish now and blackberries are in abundance, don`t remember them being so prevalent this time of year before, but will get some picked for sure, brambles are everywhere. But the trees are just turning more autumnal every day and lamps are on before 8.30 in the evenings now.

Really, really lazy day for me!! Lamb is cooking itself so not much to do at all, so read some more of Dr Zhivago.....I will finish this book, but barely half way through it. I do miss my book groups at times, but I don`t think I`ll start another one again.

Tom is just home, so will have dinner in about an hour or so now, can`t wait! Yep, I`m hungry!

I’m concerned about the price. Maybe we can do one or two nights there just to see what it’s like. I’ll probably book a room at one of the new budget hotels sometime in the future. They look cute.

Another quick stop in.

I went for a walk on my morning break. It was still chilly - but the sun was shining so I soaked up all the vitamin D I could get.

Still have our weekly booking meeting. As tedious as it is - it definitely helps to keep all the moving parts of unit in order - to know tentatively ahead of time which pt is going where. If that makes sense. Other than that - only monotonous tasks to complete.

I will finish this book, but barely half way through it. I do miss my book groups at times, but I don`t think I`ll start another one again.

I would love the opportunity to be part of a book club one day. Right now - unless it was in the evenings - it wouldn't work for me. I think it would be interesting to hear how other people interpret the same story.

The mr reminded me that I needed to replace my “dress” boots. I was so sad I had to put pair out to pasture, so comfy. Would you believe I took a Quick Look today while waiting in reception for my annual Mammo & found most of those I liked were already sold out in my size/color. What the heck! It’s August.

Had a message from my dr’s office. One of my kiddos was talking to the nurse on phone re setting up a test. He mentioned our trip. She asked where, yadda yadda. Didn’t I get a message reminding me “to both pack and wear” compression knee highs. I’ll call that the personal touch lol. from the “waddling”/race training, know they do feel great, even tho so dorky looking. I’m told they are trendy, um yeah, sure they are.

Robbie hope your DS is doing well, best wishes for a speedy recovery. He’s lucky to have mom actually know what’s she’s doing to treat him (vs the majority of the rest of us who make it up as we go lol)

Tomorrow will be the last GD fun day before school starts…i was wrong on the date, not until the 28th in their district. Seems quite late. Here, it began nearly 2 weeks ago.

I absolutely hate when I get a phone glitch and spend hours trying to figure it out.

Went to T-mobile and whatever the employee helped me with still ended up to have a technical issue.

Their advice was buy a new phone as this one is about to bite the dust.

I am starting to believe they may be right as it is 8 years old now.

The T-mobile store that I use is a short 5 minutes from my house.

My only decision now is what colors they have in stock.
