Something About Nothing............ #14

Robo: Just a quick note to say I'm so glad all went well and you had a good prognosis.
I am an RN too, and know what you mean about knowing what's going on. So glad to hear you are doing well.

The gremlins are at it again Ruth.....your quote disappeared again!!!

My sister says the same thing, she was nurse her whole adult life and she is the one we all run things past. It is nice to have that expertise in the family.

Need to send more hugs to Robbie.
❤️

:thumbsup2

Well, we did manage a walk of sorts, but, it was far too cool and breezy to do more than a couple of miles, the wind got up and our ears were freezing!!!

We did have an angry looking sea this morning.

It is a little brighter now, no rain so got my washing out on the line, dried in no time. And didn`t need to go shopping so pottered around the house after we got home listening to music, can`t go wrong there.

Almost lunch as Tom is heading out straight after it, going to have a cheeseboard with crackers and grapes between us, I think I have some parma ham too, that`ll work. It`s not cold now, but we`ve had nicer July days.....oh well, think it might be another movie afternoon with just me today when Tom heads out volunteering or maybe bake a little too.

I’m up a little early today and have some time to kill before leaving for work.

Dh has been cast in a community theatre production of To Kill a Mockingbird. He is very excited about this especially since he got the part he wanted. I have actually never read To Kill a Mockingbird. It was never assigned reading for me in school. Caspian is a bit curious about it though.
IMG_0564.jpeg

Me neither, unless I’m strapped in a plane
I’m not super fond of planes either, but it’s too far to drive.

And what did my DH bring home from his mom’s house? A fur coat. Um, so darn hot out, will take to cleaners to get it ready for winter. Hoping not cold enough for it though. lol
Wow. I can’t think about coats, fur or otherwise right now.

My prayer was that the first go around would take care of it. My prayers were answered. After the first go round the pathology came back good and we were done. I was so relieved.
Glad to hear that all went well.

Don’t think I shared this. Not long after I was diagnosed I noticed a mole about 2 inches under our son’s right eye. I told him to go in and Have it checked out and he has basal cell cancer too. The same doc is going to do our sons procedure in August. I felt bad for him having to go through this too, but thankful it was caught.
Well wishes for your son.

Thank you Robbie, Kyle rather strangely doesn`t drink tea or coffee, never has,
Despite having southern parents, B will not drink iced tea. She loves hot tea though. We do have some English ancestry.

And yesterday his bosses announced to the rest of the office that Kyle is getting promoted and it`s a big one, we are so incredibly proud of him and he is quite pleased to be getting his own office next month to go with the promotion, everyone was so pleased for him as are we of course. So, we need to celebrate that too of course!!!
Wow! Congratulations to Kyle!

Almost time for work.

Almost time for work.

I read TKAMB at school, not my favourite book and didn`t enjoy the film, but it`s one of those books you have to read. I`ve never seen a stage play of it before, sounds like a lot of fun for your husband.

Iced Tea is not a thing over here, I did try it once in America, it`s not tea to me, but it is very popular for sure, sweetened or unsweetened, not for me. Tea to me is brewed in a proper teapot and served with a splash of milk unless it`s earl grey, then it`s a slice of lemon.

Oh goodness yes, we could be related along the line somewhere, a lot of Americans have Scots or English in them somewhere. We have mainly German/Scandinavian heritage and I`m sure a splash or two of mongrel in there too.

Thank you, he is doing amazingly well with this firm and loves working there too which helps, they are the nicest of people.

Did your daughter ever decide to apply for the book store or is she going to stay put?

Sun is out, but not warm enough to sit out yet. Having a cuppa and thinking about making a coleslaw and maybe potato salad too for tonight, we`ll definitely be cooking out, eating inside though, will set the kitchen table for us I think. That really is something about nothing.

Need to start looking for our rental car for September and travel insurance, I think that`s all we have to organise at this stage, everything else is sorted.

Time for a snack, there is some cheese leftover so might nibble on that to tide me over till dinner.

I know I have English and Scottish ancestry on my mother’s side. Unfortunately the prevalent names are Lee and Ray. There is Irish on my father’s side. I did the ancestry DNA test several years ago. Here is the result.
IMG_0565.jpeg

I have no idea which side of the family the Scandinavian results come from.

Did your daughter ever decide to apply for the book store or is she going to stay put?
I think they ( both she and the bookstore) decided that the bookstore will interview other candidates first and if they didn’t find anyone then they would call B in for an interview. She hasn’t said any more about it.

It’s another slow day today. I need to type a letter for my boss. I hate doing this because her handwriting is so difficult to read.

It's thirsty Thursday - and what feels like the longest week so far this year :surfweb:

Another quiet night last night. Did not do too much. It was too hot to much else other than sit outside and soak up some sun while reading! I had the remote control to myself last night.

It looks like it will be a nice warm day - cooling off a little bit today so it will be more tolerable for those who don't like the heat. I LOVE the heat - always have. I love to feel the warm heat that soaks into your bones.

Not sure what is on the menu for tonight yet...thinking it might be some type of taco bowl with rice.

All you are instructed to add is water. We swim against the tide & always add cream and butter. Believe our “doctoring it up” is key to being passable. The texture is very similar to home made mashed potatoes vs any other mix I’ve tried.
I tried to doctor some up once - never again. But then again, they were a knock off store brand.
Chicken noodle soup with my own leftover chicken, then cookies and cream ice cream. Perfect summer dinner.
Yum - especially the cookies and ice cream part ;)
My prayer was that the first go around would take care of it. My prayers were answered
I am sooo glad to hear that it went well
Kyle is getting promoted and it`s a big one
That is amazing!!!

Way to go for your dh! I have seen 2 different productions of that! One my niece was in - playing the lead female student. And the other was years ago - when my youngest sister was into theatre/drama. It is a great script and reminds you how times have changed - and maybe not have changed.

Well, I should get going and work on our weekly scheduling meeting minutes :sad2: As much as we hate it - it does help keep us organized and we all know what we can make work should an emergency patient need to get care ASAP.

Have a great day everyone!

Quotes not working for me or it's Mr addled brain from meds re testing at hospital this am lol

Will wing this

Robbie - so good to hear from you! Best of luck to your DS in his upcoming procedure. What a coincidence

Carole Kyle is such a superstar, wonderful to see him move up that ladder! Sky is the limit

Charade everyone reads mockingbird here in public school. Was shocked GD read it in advanced ELA 7th grade. Usually not introduced until later. good lessons there though many don't hear at home. Sadly, it does now appears on some banned lists in school???

Cant say it's my personal favorite, did enjoy the movie with Mr peck. Everytime I hear a girl with name scout, imagine it derived from the novel and hope she was blessed of the same traits as the character

Back to 😴

It is fascinating when you look into all our backgrounds, we are all a little mixed for sure.

Nice decision from her with the job, if it comes to her, it was meant for her.

Honestly, please send some of that heat to us!!! Glad you can enjoy it though.

Thank you, we are bursting with pride in our son.

Hope the meeting didn`t last too long, have a lovely evening too.

Hey all. Back from testing, dopey from meds. Will prob sleep off & all rest of day. Good excuse to pull some derp cuts off DVR

Glad you`re home and yes, rest up and take it easy for today!!!

Thanks so much, yes, we think he is a superstar too!!!

Didn`t cook out after all, it cooled down again, so I cooked the food inside, still nice. Have some spicy chicken left for lunch tomorrow.

Definitely getting darker already, it`s not quite 9.30 yet and lamps are on around the house and all the outdoor lights that come on when it`s dusk are on too......heck, not even middle of July yet.

Not decided what we`re doing tomorrow, will see what the weather is like first. Hopefully a walk first thing, then we might go to a farm store and then one of our butchers for some steaks that we`ll take over to Kyle`s for dinner on Saturday night.

Might be an early night for us again.......

Just back from eating at Taco Bell.

I lost the coin toss with Mr Mac.
My choice was Panera.

Really need to hit the grocery store tomorrow…

Going to watch baseball on tv.
Can never get tired of this game.

It never matters to me which teams are playing, just love the sport.

I`d have gone with Panera too. We tried it for the first time a couple of trips ago, it was nice, very fresh produce and friendliest staff too!

Baseball is another sport I`ve never watched, very non sporty person here as you know lol....

I need a reminder it`s still July and not November, it is cold here this morning, I have a jumper on and no plans to walk at all, the cloud is coming in from the sea, yup, cold. 54F but the real feel is 48F. 🥶

So, heading out shopping, don`t think we need much, but enough to keep us away from stores on a Saturday. The rest of the day is going to be a quiet one, not sure if Tom is going to be called upon this afternoon, hope not.

Tom fancies something spicy for dinner tonight, so will do something with chicken, don`t mind chicken twice in the one day, spicy chicken salad for lunch, but might make a hot and fruity chicken curry.

Third cup of tea so far this morning, think there will be loads more today.

Shoutout to @keishashadow and @Robo56 hope you both slept well!!

Have a lovely Friday ☺️

I slept like a 🪵 not this sort of log

IMG_2324.jpeg
:faint:

On the road today with the 'lil. Sitting, in the shade, waiting for cross country practice to be over. Already got car washed, not much else to do after greeting the dawn

She has a race in city tonight. I'm going to make a girls' morning of it and drive out to country to try a a breakfast place that's get great review to carb load her.

Then, may head to the country place and try to find some nice slabs of steak for my two eldest sons' TBD BD cookout.

The eldest turned 44 yesterday, seems like only yesterday he had that new baby smell 💕

Baseball is another sport I`ve never watched,
I enjoy the youth games more, especially if it involves sitting in a camp chair & being out in a cool summer eve breeze

For me, the games at home are on as white noise when family over or while I'm on net or reading.

Last time they were there, it reminded me how much I loved Sunday afternoon at my grandma's house for dinner after church.

All the women would be inside prepping dinner and gossiping.

the men & kids would be lazing on the huge, wrap around, covered porch listening to radio broadcast of the pirate games with a root beer or an iron city beer.

Perfect way to pass an afternoon!

Ooh I forgot. On way back home waiting for luggage at PIT, met a 'celebrity' with the younger set
IMG_2235.jpeg

Livvy Dunne, gymnast phenom, sports illustrated swimsuit model and GF of pirate's star pitcher, Paul skenes Was on her way from Hampton white party to see him pitch

Was lovely to see she was kind enough to pose for pic and chat a bit with GD. Will say, she has the most perfect skin I've ever seen.

Lovely picture and how nice she stopped and spent time with your GD!! I admit, it`s not a name I know, but she does look lovely, glad to hear she was so nice.

That is a very lovely memory of your grandma`s. It`s a shame those days don`t happen for so many now, living far apart or some family members that just aren`t around. The good old days really were good at times. My grandma didn`t like my dad and vice versa, so it was always fun at get togethers in her home lol.....

Belated Happy Birthday to your eldest baby!!!! Yes, it does seem like yesterday our kids were babies!!

Last time we had a group dinner with friends, all the men got into conversations about when their son`s were born....heck, it was almost a weep fest as they all explained holding their son for the first time!!! Nice to see though and I was amazed at one who is quite vague with most things, but the details he remembered were quite impressive.

Hope GD does well today and tonight and enjoy that food!!!

Well, on my own this afternoon as Tom has gone car shopping with one of his friends who is after a new car, they`ll have fun together talking all things cars.

I wrote an email to VA to compliment one of their staff who really helped us out on Wednesday night with an issue with the flights for next May, she was amazing and, well, it`s nice to thank folks when they go above and beyond. Then called my friend who fell off her horse....again, to see how she is doing, being spoiled rotten by her husband as I knew she would be, will try and see her tomorrow or Sunday.

We did go shopping this morning and picked up steaks to take to Kyle`s tomorrow night for dinner with him, we did offer to bring them, looking forward to that.

Still not overly warm here, house is warm but outside is not. So, making a Thai chicken curry, smells amazing already simmering away, will make coconut rice later, but another quietish day here for me.

Cuppa tea time I think and try not to eat some cake!

It's Friday :cheer2: thank goodness!!! It was a VERY long week.

It has cooled down a little bit to what others find tolerable. I was starting to really like the hot temps we had. The forecast for next week calls for a couple more hotter days again.

Gosh I started this just after our morning huddle - and it's almost lunch time! But I think most of the things on my to-do list are checked off. It will be a trip planning afternoon I think.

Dinner last night ended up being fish. I defrosted some of the fish we caught the other weekend. It was quick to defrost and whip up.

It was a quiet evening again last night. It was way toooooooooo windy to do anything outside last night. It seems a little calmer this morning.

Definitely getting darker already, it`s not quite 9.30 yet and lamps are on around the house and all the outdoor lights that come on when it`s dusk are on too......heck, not even middle of July yet.
It is still light out when I go to bed yet at 11 pm. We usually don't have to start turning lights on in the house until about mid August. Hence why it can still be blazing hot temperatures at 10:00 pm when there is still full sunlight and the sun is just starting to set.
I lost the coin toss with Mr Mac.
My choice was Panera.
I would love to try Panera! It sounds like carb heaven :flower1: Maybe next time you will win the coin toss
Was lovely to see she was kind enough to pose for pic and chat a bit with GD.
I have no idea who that is...but that is amazing she was kind enough to do that! I hope your gd has a winning outcome!

Well, I should run.

Have a great day everyone!

And yesterday his bosses announced to the rest of the office that Kyle is getting promoted and it`s a big one,
Congratulations to Kyle, You and Tom must be so proud.
she had to cancel as she has hurt her foot falling off a horse!! Poor gal can barely walk,
Fell off her horse??? Wow. I used to do a lot of horseback riding and thankfully never fell off. I think I held on for dear life:)
Thursday again.....and I think it might be 9 weeks till we leave for our trip!!!!
Only 9 weeks? It's amazing how time flies. My son is counting the days - we are now less than l00, LOL.
The gremlins are at it again Ruth.....your quote disappeared again!!!
Grrrrrr.............. and I still don't know HOW I do it???
My sister says the same thing, she was nurse her whole adult life and she is the one we all run things past. It is nice to have that expertise in the family.
My brother thinks I know Everything about medicine, LOL. He calls me for every little thing. I don't know why because I've been out of the business for several years.
We did have an angry looking sea this morning.
That is one scary looking water! and it looks really cold.
Dh has been cast in a community theatre production of To Kill a Mockingbird.
Congrats to your DH. I just read TKAM this past Spring and I really loved it. I haven't seen the movie though but would love ot.
Iced Tea is not a thing over here,
Oh Carole, then you haven't tried Real Southern Iced tea! I learned how to make it while living in Tn and I still make it for the family. They all love it:). It's a little more work than usual, but worth it. I would have been kicked out of the South if I didn't like iced tea, or catfish or cornbread:)
Need to start looking for our rental car for September and travel insurance, I think that`s all we have to organise at this stage, everything else is sorted.
That is inspiring that you are so organized at this stage of the game . Gives me something to shoot for before our trip!
Going to watch baseball on tv.
Can never get tired of this game.
Mac, I love baseball too, especially the little league games we used to go to for our grandsons. Priceless. I like pro ball too but sometimes it moves too slow for me. We are into watching the PGA now and I find it slow but interesting.
, cold. 54F but the real feel is 48F. 🥶
That is really cold Carole! Not trying to brag or anything, but we are in the 80's and sunny now:):)
On the road today with the 'lil. Sitting, in the shade, waiting for cross country practice to be over
You are a good person! That's a lot of early morning traveling, but I bet you love doing it for your lil.
She has a race in city tonight.
Hope she did well in the race.
Last time they were there, it reminded me how much I loved Sunday afternoon at my grandma's house for dinner after church.
Oh, when I read that it made me think of those days too. At my Grandma's she always set out the "good" china and silver. Everyone in the family crowded around the big dining room table. Sometimes we had a "kids" table set up too. It was such a special time because of all the care given to the settings and table. Now we never do that, to that extent.
Was lovely to see she was kind enough to pose for pic and chat a bit with GD
Wow, that is so nice that that young lady stopped to pose with your GD. Your GD looks very happy:)

Today it's 88 degrees and sunny. I'm loving this warm weather, finally. We had a very cool and dreary start to summer. Roger and I went to a favorite restaurant for dinner last night for our anniversary, which is tomorrow:) This restaurant is an hour away, but worth every mile. I tried tiramasu (sp?) for the first time, and I Am in Love. It is now my favorite dessert. I had seen it on the Great British Baking Show and was intrigued. Now I crave it. It was a Huge serving, and I thought I couldn't eat it......Right, I ate the whole thing:) I was miserable for a while after supper but Yum that is a wonderful dessert!

Tonight we are going to another favorite restaurant (spoiled maybe?). It is on the lake where we owned a resort for several years. It's a fun place with fresh fish and other good food. My daughter and husband are meeting us there as they are going by boat. Looking forward to a nice dinner with them.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Hi Pumpkin: I love fish too. We are going out to eat tonight and I will definitely have fish and chips!
It is still light out when I go to bed yet at 11 pm.
11PM is very late for it to be light out. I thought we were late as it gets dark here about 9:30.

Just a quick hi and glad your long work week is over! Have a good weekend:)

Robo: Just a quick note to say I'm so glad all went well and you had a good prognosis.
I am an RN too, and know what you mean about knowing what's going on. So glad to hear you are doing well.
Thank you, Ruth.

Yes, as a Nurse you know what I’am talking about.

I hope you are healing from your fall. Continued prayers coming your way for a speedy recovery.

Need to send more hugs to Robbie.
Thank you Mac. Hope you are doing well.

I`m so glad to hear everything went well and the results were good. I hope you`re happy with the scar when it fades, I`m sure it will, they do things so much better today than they did years ago. Continued good wishes going forward and of course for your son too, and yes, thank goodness you noticed it and it`s being dealt with.
Thank you Carole, it is always nice to see medical procedures advancing in a positive way with good outcomes.

Son is not to worried about the procedure of course as his mom I’am concerned for him. I’am praying he has good results on first go around and gets clean margins so no major scarring for him.

And hope you managed to have a good nights sleep last night, we feel so much better when we sleep well. It`s my answer to everything, have a good sleep.....
I did first good nights sleep in days. Thank for that as it does a soul good.

I think we want to avoid that park for a while, it is going to be crazy, but they seem to be taking steps to avoid that craziness when Potter first opened. And yes, Helios is going to be incredibly stunning!!!
Yes, good to avoid it until the fuss subsides a little.

Thursday again.....and I think it might be 9 weeks till we leave for our trip!!!! How`d that happen that it`s only 9 weeks!!
It will be here before you know it then you can go and enjoy some lizard weather.

Glad to hear both you and your son have had successful surgery, Robo. I hope you heal nicely. Sending good thoughts and well wish mummy dust your way.
Thank you. Son’s procedure is not until August.

Caspian is a bit curious about it though.
Cute picture of Caspian.

Well wishes for your son.
Thank you Charade.

Dh has been cast in a community theatre production of To Kill a Mockingbird. He is very excited about this especially since he got the part he wanted. I have actually never read To Kill a Mockingbird. I
Congratulations to your hubby on being cast in the part he wanted in the Play.

I am sooo glad to hear that it went well
Thank you Pumpkin.

Robbie - so good to hear from you! Best of luck to your DS in his upcoming procedure. What a coincidence

Thank you Janet. After what I thought was nothing next to my nose and having that biopsied and combing back basal cell. I asked son about the small mole below his eye and told him to go to the dermatologist and have it looked at. They biopsied it and the Doc told him he thought it was nothing to be concerned about it and it came back positive for basal cell.

Carole congratulations to Kyle on his promotion. He sounds like a hardworking young man who is deserving of his recognition.

Janet so cute granddaughter was able to meet someone in the gymnastic field that she looks up to.

Good luck to her on her meet this evening.

The eldest turned 44 yesterday, seems like only yesterday he had that new baby smell
Happy belated birthday you your son.
IMG_3837.gif

Went yesterday afternoon for my pedicure and while I was there my hair stylist asked if I wanted to have my hair done a week early and I said why not. So when my feet were done I had my hair colored and styled. So had a nice salon day.

My stylist S had skin cancer surgery to her nose a couple of years ago by the same doctor I had. She had to have a skin graft and did very well. She spoke very highly of the care she received from him and his staff.

I’am thankful we have a doctor like him locally. He and his staff are wonderful.

Slept so much better last night. Does make a world of difference for sure.

We area going to be celebrating granddaughter M’s birthday tomorrow along with my sister K’s grandsons birthday out at the nice place where she and her hubby have their travel trailer. It is so pretty there. We are having a cookout and I’am going to try a couple of new salad recipes to bring.

Halloween decorations are amping up in the stores. My favorite time of year.

No prediction of rain today and it’s just started pouring down.

Nap time for me.

Have a wonderful Friday everyone.

I would love to try Panera! It sounds like carb heaven :flower1: Maybe next time you will win the coin toss

I have no idea who that is...but that is amazing she was kind enough to do that! I hope your gd has a winning outcome!

Well, I should run.

Have a great day everyone!

Oh it feels crazy right now wth the weather. We never get complete astronomical darkness in the middle of summer usually, but it feels as if we are completely dark when we go to bed as it`s so cloudy. I always love waking around 2/3am and it`s light....hasn`t happened often this summer so far!!

We`ve had it very breezy too last few weeks, very annoying!!!

Have a lovely weekend Pumpkin!

Congratulations to Kyle, You and Tom must be so proud.

Fell off her horse??? Wow. I used to do a lot of horseback riding and thankfully never fell off. I think I held on for dear life:)

Only 9 weeks? It's amazing how time flies. My son is counting the days - we are now less than l00, LOL.

Grrrrrr.............. and I still don't know HOW I do it???

My brother thinks I know Everything about medicine, LOL. He calls me for every little thing. I don't know why because I've been out of the business for several years.

That is one scary looking water! and it looks really cold.

Congrats to your DH. I just read TKAM this past Spring and I really loved it. I haven't seen the movie though but would love ot.

That is inspiring that you are so organized at this stage of the game . Gives me something to shoot for before our trip!

Mac, I love baseball too, especially the little league games we used to go to for our grandsons. Priceless. I like pro ball too but sometimes it moves too slow for me. We are into watching the PGA now and I find it slow but interesting.

That is really cold Carole! Not trying to brag or anything, but we are in the 80's and sunny now:):)

You are a good person! That's a lot of early morning traveling, but I bet you love doing it for your lil.

Hope she did well in the race.

Yes, proud doesn`t begin to cover how to describe it!! He really does deserve this!!

lol....well, they train a certain type of horse, so that`s why she was on this particular one and he just bolted suddenly, she is a very experienced horsewoman. Last time was her own fault as she kind of caught her foot as she was dismounting, she swears the horse laughed at her lol......

Water is very wild looking there, that tends to be winter weather, but it does feel winter like right now.

I did try what I was told was traditional southern iced tea....hated it. Tried a sweetened and unsweetened version, not sure which was worse!!! I also tried catfish and hated it, but I adore cornbread!!!!

Brag away as much as you like about your weather.....lol....you get exceptionally bad winters, so make the most of it!!!

I loathe Tiramisu....I hate coffee flavoured things and hate soggy things, so that dessert is one of my nightmare dessert, along with trifle and anything with alcohol in....I know weird isn`t it, but hate boozy desserts! But, glad you enjoyed it, and enjoy your meal out tonight, hope you get something lovely!!

Good afternoon everyone :wave2:

Thank you, Ruth.

Yes, as a Nurse you know what I’am talking about.

I hope you are healing from your fall. Continued prayers coming your way for a speedy recovery.

Thank you Mac. Hope you are doing well.

Thank you Carole, it is always nice to see medical procedures advancing in a positive way with good outcomes.

Son is not to worried about the procedure of course as his mom I’am concerned for him. I’am praying he has good results on first go around and gets clean margins so no major scarring for him.

I did first good nights sleep in days. Thank for that as it does a soul good.

Yes, good to avoid it until the fuss subsides a little.

It will be here before you know it then you can go and enjoy some lizard weather.

Thank you. Son’s procedure is not until August.

Cute picture of Caspian.

Thank you Charade.

Congratulations to your hubby on being cast in the part he wanted in the Play.

Thank you Pumpkin.

Happy belated birthday you your son.

Thank you Robbie, he loves this industry and we know he`ll excel moving upwards.

Of course you`re worried about him, we never stop being mum`s doesn`t matter what age they are. he has very good people around him, I`m sure he`ll be fine, but all good wishes for him going forward.

Sounds like a lovely day getting feet and hair done, maybe just what you needed, especially with a celebration weekend coming up, sounds a lovely get together with family, enjoy it!!!

Spicy Thai curry was beautiful, I made double and froze some for another time, it freezes well enough and something to look forward to.

Called my mum and she was laughing that we had the heating on for half an hour....they are getting lovely weather up there, guess it`s just us then. It`ll get better.

We just ate two large mango`s they were the sweetest and juiciest ever! Now having a small blackberry margarita, Friday night treat. 🍹

Good Saturday morning 😁

Absolutely incredible!!

But, today, thank goodness the weather wasn`t like that back then, it was a glorious, hot and sunny summer day, as it should be in July.

Today however, it`s wet, windy and cold, so went back to sleep rather than get up early for no real reason, much rather have a morning snuggle and go back to sleep. Woke up and it`s still the same!!

Showered and dressed, started breakfast, made the batter for pancakes and got them started while sleeping beauty caught up with me, tea, pancakes, bacon and strawberries, perfect Saturday morning breakfast.

Light lunch and then dinner at Kyle`s, steaks look good!! Making a large flourless chocolate cake for him today, Tom will help him with it I`m sure.

But, lazy day here, thinking of starting the September TR.....thank you ladies for the prod!!!!

Another pot of tea is being made, yup, definitely a lazy morning at least.
