Something About Nothing............ #14

Keisha terrible about battery :sad2: I’m frustrated with BCAA here. The waits are ridiculous.
ran it a couple of times again today, just to make sure it’d turn over. Seems fine and, oddly enough, my AC seems to firing up icy cold.

I haven’t used tow or battery service for at least 5+ years. it surely has changed as to having a prompt response time.

i am absolutely stuffed, had not one but two carrot cake cupcakes. My one said justified them as being healthy because of the carrots & fruit in them. Like the way he thinks.

i used those reusable silicone cupcake liners this time :thumbsup2 where have they been all my life?

Just passing the next hour waiting for a tv show
so switching channels for baseball games for a short time

I started the walking dead shows when they first started.
Gotta see it all until it bites the dust

charade congratulations on your college degree
I can remember when you first talked about it
Does not seem that long ago when you started but you may feel it’s been a life an a half since you now reached your goal.

keisha
I hope your car troubles are now over!
It has to be a pain in your *** for all you have gone through.
Sending mummy dust for happy days a head.

A big hug to all of you on sharing how you have been doing.
I am trying to catch up on what all every one has posted the past week

Hope I have not missed any one here and all are doing okay

Sue I live and breathe that show!
I will make the popcorn for us to munch on when the show starts

(Hope you like plenty of butter on the popcorn)

Sue, I don’t think you have my phone number. But I’ll send you my phone and my dates in a PM here.

Glorious sunshine once again. Pouring through the windows so nicely. Abd a repeat of yesterday, beautiful sunshine until the clouds roll in later in the afternoon.

Pool was 89 to 90 degrees and absolutely perfect. Even though it was 84 out when we got out, still felt cool until you were mostly dry. Then had a delicious bbq, with bbq chicken, home made (one of the best we made) pasta salad and a huge salad again, which made a very nice Father’s Day, with my sister and my family, minus older one, as he had to work yesterday. And was happy we came home with some chicken and pasta salad. By the time he had his late dinner, none left.

So happy another lazy day. But alarm set, and trash to roll to curb this evening.

I hope your car battery issues are done, Keisha. This time of year, car AC is used almost daily.

So, that Marvelous Monday feeling for all.

And yep, even without my mom’s house, by the time we settled, was almost two years. I too hope Mac, it takes much faster for your estate that you have to settle.

Ooh yeah, not only an early bed time for me tonight, for rest of week day routine days, but DH was again so noisy, he woke me up before that oh so early sunrise again. Eh, just gives me more time to finish the wash, have that very long time shower, make bacon and cheese sandwiches, and a few more hours of tea drinking.

Good morning all.

Good again this morning when I drove to track for my walk, phew. I’m a worrier tho, will take a month for my mind to accept its fine
@macraven me too. Watching the Dead shows! Next new one in NY should be out soon.
Last night, enjoyed it!

My shade garden in front yard starting to come into its own. I swear the various hostess & ferns come into their own overnight

Maiden grass in the sun is slow this year, probably due to near drought. Fighting the chip & dale for my precious strawberries lol

gals- How doth your garden grow?

This shade of Tiger lily my favorite.

Not sure what this is called, liberated one growing out of leaf pile in woods and it’s spread. Even if a weed, I think it’s lovely

Good evening everyone. Nothing much going on today. I think tomorrow B and I will do some shopping. She needs to get her dad something for Father’s Day, I want to look for some new shirts, and we both want to get some sort of display board for all of the buttons we picked up last week.
Nice collection of buttons. Hope you find a display board that you like to display your buttons. What about a nice large frame with some of you vacation photos and hour buttons.

We had a backyard visitor today.
Pretty doe.

Yea! I picked up tbones on sale yesterday…$106 later (ouch)
Yes, there is a bit of sticker shock on food lately.

Picked up the sickie kid from his most recent 5 day hospital stay. Been a stressful week. Another bad infection, not sure how it arose as various new issues found, supposedly good now. Lots of specialist appts to work on the underlying new issues. It’s doable. That’s all that matters, just needs a bigger buffet plate to juggle them all
I hope your son Feels better soon. It is so stressful when health issues pop up. Your poor son as really been through it. I hope there is some answers and some relief for him soon and of course for you too as I know as a mom it is hard to see your children sick no matter how old they are.

Hit a large puddle of runoff & wound up bouncing off cement Jersey barrier.

Thank God the mr is ‘a pro’, seeing lots of crazy stuff years ago when driving steel coils between employer’s nearby plants

Had to call state police as they wound up facing wrong way & couldn’t merge into the heavy traffic safely.

Truck was able to get turned around & limp home once the trooper stopped traffic to one lane.
My goodness. So scary. I’am glad they are both ok.

I hope this week turns out to be a better week for you. Battery issues and accident and sons hospital stay.

Sending prayers that you all get a break and everything gets better this week.

Terribly behind! its been busy here between birthdays, anniversaries, and upcoming surgery. Today was 2 phone calls from hospital pre admissions then anesthesia. Totaling 2 hrs on phone.
last weekend a couple of girlfriends decided I needed a diversion and took me camping lol!
I got my surgery date, June 28th. Yay. Will be soon. The best thing is Surgeon says I won’t need Chemo! Probably Radiation but I can deal with that.

This weekend we’re out both Saturday and Sunday for dinners.
Sue so good to hear you have your surgery scheduled and no chemo.

I’am glad to her you will be able to keep your trip plans.

Sounds like you have some wonderful friends.

i am absolutely stuffed, had not one but two carrot cake cupcakes. My one said justified them as being healthy because of the carrots & fruit in them. Like the way he thinks.

Yep, you ate your veggies just a different way.

Mac glad to hear you were able to get somethings done while in Ocala. Yes, it gets smokin hot in Florida.

I hope you are able to get things settled the way you want with your brothers estate.

Sending a shout out to schumigirl. She has been missing here for a few days. She is missed.

Been a both frustrating and emotional roller coaster past few days. Hubby has been sick and I’am getting a good look at how our local hospital is working lately and I’am not impressed.

The Nurses are fantastic and sadly overworked and the Doctors have been pleasant enough, but also overworked and stretched thin, I have had to push to get them to get things done at times.

I hope this is not the new normal.

It is raining here today. We needed the rain so not compaining.

I harvested my first cucumber yesterday……sounds like such a little thing, but it is my first garden victory this year.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Monday doing what ever it is that makes you happy.

Oh Robo, yeah many are stretched with not enough staff. I hope your DH feels better soon. Sending mummy dust well wishes to him.

My state is in a drought position. We have had not much rain or snow this year.

Ooh so bright out. A no s nice, with 87 degrees the high.

Sending a shout out to schumigirl. She has been missing here for a few days. She is missed.
::yes::

Oh no, sorry to hear that. Hope he feels better soon. Great thing he has you for an advocate!

Another dr appt/specialist for my DS today. Is it awful to say I’m not sure what it’s for offhand? All sorts runs together when in the thick of it
harvested my first cucumber yesterday……sounds like such a little thing, but it is my first garden victory this year.
That is a moment. Ours are doing rather poorly. The cabbage, onions & garlic are only veggies doing well this year.

@keishashadow ”I walk this way” lol! Love it! I recorded too!
Good luck with appt today. I find the worst part is not knowing what’s wrong. Once you have a diagnosis you can start dealing with it. Sending you mummy and pixie dust!
Food is getting crazy expensive here too.

@Lynne G apparently I copied your phone # incorrectly from our last dinner at Sapphire! All remedied now!
How nice to have some sunshine. Here we’re starting to call it Junuary! We were having beautiful days, then weather just started going downhill. Poor youngest has a kayaking trip around some offshore islands from Vancouver Island. She took a week off work. Weather perks up Wednesday or Thursday  her last days. I suppose I shouldn’t complain, we need a good drenching with the fires.

@Robo56 thats sad to hear about your local hospitals. Hope your husband gets the care he needs. It’s good that he has you to advocate for him.
Yay for the cucumber! I didn’t plant anything this year except for tomatoes and strawberries. The spring was terrible so didn’t bother. one year I found Japanese cucumbers, they grew really well and tasty.

@schumigirl :sail:

Today is a quiet day. Have to go shopping for a few things. That’s about it. Nice to have a quiet day. The weekend was so busy with family and friends get together both days. And tomorrow lunch with a friend at our fav riverfront pub.
Thursday dinner at family friends house. A last dinner there as they’re moving to the island. Friday brunch with work friends and Sunday going to a Bard on The Beach show! As You Like It set to Beatles music! Plus Thursday morning have to go to the hospital to get radioactive seed implanted in surgery site, it pinpoints where surgeon has to cut out. Things sure have changed.

Finally getting to stop in a do a check in :wave2:

Busy week last week with a couple of days at my healthcare job - plus worked the weekend. But the good news is - I now I have 4 weekends off in a row. I'm ready to have some time off and spend it with the dh and kids - plus make a trip to the city to see the kids and gd too. Hoping to start off this coming weekend fishing. Dh and boys tried on Saturday - but the wind came up and they couldn't get back onto the lake after coming off to cook up some lunch. The fish were biting, so I had some grumpy men when I got home from work on Saturday.

We finally got a good amount of rain here. Started before the weekend, and has rained on and off since Thursday - which we REALLY needed. It is pretty cold/cool here now - even the furnace kicked in last night as the house was so cold. There was snow about 2 hrs from here yesterday - just to let you know how cold it feels. Life in Northern Canada - it is always interesting!

Boy, was I ever glad to finally get home. DS doing well, took off for a walk. If it stops drizzling, I’ll take one myself. My new go to to clear my noggin. Endorphins u know. Lol
I hope your son continues to heal and get better. It doesn't matter how old they get, we will still worry about them.
Wow, as was driving to that huge mall, radio and both little one and my phone buzzed with tornado warning. Scary, we didn’t know if we should get off the highway or not. We decided to travel through the red weather radar blob and safely got to the mall, which has nice, large parking garages. By the time we left, more blue skies seen.
Yikes!!!! I am not comfortable driving in rain and big wind like that. It is not something we get alot of. But snow...I can handle most of those road conditions.
I got my surgery date, June 28th. Yay. Will be soon. The best thing is Surgeon says I won’t need Chemo! Probably Radiation but I can deal with that.
I'm glad you got your surgery sorted. Sending positive vibes for a quick recovery from that. I hope that the treatment after doesn't throw you off too much. I'll be sending you lots of healing light and love.
I am tired of being an adult and handling life event things.

Gonna stick my head in the sand for a few days and relax.
It's always good to get back home - especially after dealing with stressful situations. I hope your next trips to deal with your brothers estate go smoothly and quickly.
Battery had 19%. Called AAA promised to be there in one hour took 2-1/2 🤨. Mr patiently waited.
Ugh...cart trouble. I am not a patient person anymore. I think my kids and daycare kids used it all up when I was younger!!!!
The big news of the day however, was that my diploma arrived. I have already put it in a nice frame.
 Congrats!!!! You worked hard for that!

Well, I should go find a few more papers to sort.

Have a great day everyone!

You’re probably going to have a trail worn between there & home by the time it’s all over. The process can move so slowly.

I’ve heard anywhere from two months to two years, hoping for the former for you.
yes that process is long going but the day we arrived, in town reviewed the situation

Was able to get something’s completed easily.
Other things ran into road blocks but will take time to handle it over time.

working probate now with a lawyer, or should say that will be handled with our lawyer
We did a lot of work and now need lawyer for the probate stuff

Side note: brother was in process to move to Jacksonville the day before he died.
Now I need to contact them and be refunded for deposit and one month rent.

Wait list for the senior retirement place he had a two year wait list and was approved

I am doing steps at a time

have canceled that out and now dealing with them on that contract

We did as much as possible while we were there
House is now vacant except for all the medical equipment and oxygen tanks and furniture.

In the clutter of his packed boxes for the original planed move,
our goal is a quick sale.

We don’t need to own two homes

Might get lucky and sell his acres once I put it on the market.

There are only three houses on the land in the horse county where his property is located.
Mr Mac mowed his large acres before we left and searching now for a service to hire that job out .

We were in town long enough to pick up his ashes
and this presents another issue in my house

Cats think they have a new litter box…..

But with my quick thinking I saved brother from ever knowing about it

Robbie hope your husband will start to feel better soon

Janet am hoping your son will feel better real soon.

sending mummy dust to both of you ladies !

🛌 —- I’m ready for it.

Hope Keisha, your son’s appointment went well, and he will feel better soon. Mummy dust well wishes to him.

Sue, sounds like sone nice meals this week, and hope the seed implant on Thursday morning is not painful and your surgery next week goes excellently.

Pumpkin, hope you get done if our warmer weather and sunshine. Would like to go sea kayaking some day. When it’s like August or warm around the San Juan Islands.

Mac, good to hire an attorney for help with the estate. And good thing the ashes were not sniffed up by the kitties.

I adore cat pictures!

know they are not loved by all but they are easy to take care of..
toss food in a bowl, they eat it up and then go for a long nap

kind of like me during holiday feasts

When my parental units passed, I was able to hold it all together
and accepted it.
They had a good long life and elderly in their 90’s
With brother, it’s too close for home for me.
We were two years apart in age and were best friends.

I am glad I have the sans family.
You all have been so nice to me and keep me grounded.

It makes it easier for me to have “this family” to lean on.

sending hugs to all.
