Well I had quoted a number of things from the past pages and then they went poof as I was moving around and getting ready to post. Will try and remember some of the things.

Thank you all for the good wishes that have come our way. They are much appreciated.

Carole so glad to hear Kyle had wonderful celebrations for his birthday. Always good to celebrate as much as you can on those very special occasions for sure.

Janet I hope you are continuing to feel better. You have been through the wringer with the respiratory illnesses first covid then RSV. You are right there is no one size fits all treatment for everyone. These things need to be tailored to the individual and their particular symptoms and sensitivities. Sending healing prayers your way.

How insensitive for the hospital to call the day before your son’s procedure and cancel. I will dare say someone dropped the ball on that. They would have known they had staffing issues way before then.

Charade I loved looking at hour lovely needle work.

Pumpkin your little granddaughter is adorable.

Monyk that is awesome that your hubby has signed up for Alumni position at Disney. Hope he gets a call and gets placed where he wants.

Lynne happy birthday to your hubby.

I was able to see some family members on Thursday which was a wonderful balm for my soul for sure. I then started getting things ready to head south.

We started our trip south Friday evening because we wanted to get ahead of the next severe cold front that was moving in Saturday morning.

We had a pretty smooth drive all the way to Dalton Georgia. It is supposed to get warmer as you drive South usually. It was 18. We spent the night in Dalton and got up and continued are trek South. It was 23 when we went through Atlanta and we did not hit 42 degrees until we crossed the Florida State line.

All was well until we got to Gainesville and they closed down I 75 do to a major accident. We had to meander the back roads with our son working the google maps on the phone to get to I 95 from Gainesville. We have GPS on our car and it was not giving the best directions. It added 2 hours to the trip, but we got home safely.

The weather here is starting to warm up. Will be high of 78 here today. Looking forward to the suns healing warmth.

Hubby and I are still on the mend. Moving in the right direction. Glad to be back home in Florida.

Always busy first few days back getting the kitchen restocked and little things done around the house. Finally feel a little settled.

Hope everyone is doing well and staying warm. Have a wonderful Wednesday doing whatever makes you happy.

Hi Robbie, thank you he had a wonderful birthday celebration!! Nothing like making a fuss of our kids.

Glad things are good for you, and being back in Florida now it`s warming up will be lovely for you both. You`ll both be back to normal before you know it and you`ll be settled in no time at all.

Winds have finally died down to around 20mph and sun is shining, not cold either, went out without a hat today which is something.

Lunch out was nice, we met early, around 11.30 as one had to get back to work, we keep hinting she needs to retire now she is 50, time to stop and join the rest of us as ladies of leisure! I think she`s ready to stop too.

We all shared a massive set of Charcuterie boards, salads of all kinds and some beautiful bread, won`t eat till tomorrow now. Back home enjoying a cuppa with the sun streaming in which we haven`t seen for many days.

Then some laptop time I think.......🫖

Robo, glad you made it back home safely. And are on the mend. Mummy dust well wishes and good thoughts down your way. Glad to hear warming up in FLA now. We get some warned weather, before more colder weather next week.

Charade, I hear ya. Saving up, as maybe will try to get a trip in there sometime before the Fall. Though we like seeing the Winter holiday decor the most. Then there’s that overseas trip still on the horizon this year or maybe next. Plus, older one wants a road trip to head out past Keisha’s way late Spring. Sigh. Yeah bills to pay first, including taxes coming up before ya know it.

Need to fill up that mug again. Have a sweater jacket on. Cool feeling in my office. And ick, meeting soon enough. So gray out, with all the rain to come. And a dirty window:
IMG_3124.jpeg

lol..... 😁

Finally got the call to say I`m back volunteering tomorrow morning in school, It was supposed to be Tuesday but with the dental appointment I couldn`t do it, so Thursday it is this week. Tom is out with his volunteering too, so he can drop me off then I can either walk home if the weather is decent or he`ll come pick me up.

I have missed doing this.

Now all we need is the weather to warm up and get back to our walks with the gorgeous views every day.

Just watched Psycho this afternoon, we didn`t watch it last night, but it`s not the same through the day, should be a night time watch. We do fancy a Hitchcock fest tonight now......

Cup of tea time I think....🫖

I blinked...and it's hump day!!!!

It seems like it's been a hot minute since I've been here. I did stop by to read and post. I ended up only reading as work kept interrupting my day :rolleyes1

I was pulling to my homecare job for a project - which was super fun :sad2:. After 3 straight days - I had all the info for them. Hopefully we don't have to do this again until next year. And going forward - we know what papers to save and what we could do next time they ask for a similar project.

Went out over my lunch - enjoyed the bright sunlight in my car. The weather has finally warmed up to tolerable temps that are around the freezing mark 0C or 36 F. Much better than the -40s we have had.

Dh and older ds are out of town all week for work. So it's just myself and youngest ds. I'm thinking chicken fajitas for dinner tonight. Something quick, easy and filling.

Well, off to shuffle more papers around and fill out more spreadsheets.

Have a great day everyone :wave2:

Mac - no O’charley’s or cheddars near us. Have been tempted when up in Erie area, closest sites. it’s smack next to cheddars; which wins out in the mr’s heart.

They did get a BJ’s brewhouse here, finally. my kids like it more than we do, fans of the lunch special they’d offer with unlimited soups & saladS. I usually settle for that.

Too bad it’s stuffed on other side of city, just like the cheesecake factory sites are. I find myself wanting to go, then the thot of the even non rush hour drive taking 2-1/2 hours RT is enough to put the kabosh on that for me, especially in the winter and needing to take back roads over the mountains
How insensitive for the hospital to call the day before your son’s procedure and cancel. I will dare say someone dropped the ball on that. They would have known they had staffing issues way before then
Would u believe he is still waiting for them to call him back & reschedule it? Told him to start calling them every single day & leaving a message at this point, yes, purely out of spite. Fine example I’m setting, call it a protest for poor service.
All was well until we got to Gainesville and they closed down I 75 do to a major accident.
Seems as tho there are so many serious accidents on that route! Scary stuff
Hubby and I are still on the mend. Moving in the right direction. Glad to be back home in Florida.
Great to hear, the warm weather should knock out all the germs for you! Enjoy being a snow birdie. curious, do you have a 2nd health care team in FL Or go with telemedicine? I’ve yet to do a video visit Of any sort.
I really wish I could pay the mortgage with a credit card. I could earn a lot of flight miles that way.
have thot the same thing now & again. I used to run nearly everything thru our travel cards, then pay them off. The mr got on that gravy train and now uses his regular cards and take cash as his rewards. Hmmph lol.

I’m the sort that likes to plan & see exactly where my money is going. Was raised that way, didn’t help to have an ex who had no concept of paying bills first, putting savings away, then having fun with what was left over. They should have a federally mandated class on it in high school here, life would run so much more smoothly for many

before DH & I set up housekeeping and settled upon our financial contributions to the combined household, we agreed upon having a budget line item for travel included In the master plan.

we each do tend to toss in a bonus trip or two every year into the pot out of our own discretionary monies If the mood strikes us.

Good for you. So 50 is the new 67 there lol! I’m all for enjoying the fruits of one’s labors as early as prudent, never know what the fates might spring on you.
Yeah bills to pay first, including taxes coming up before ya know it.
Oh, fine, you just had to say the “T” word.:crazy2: I’m not ready, not one bit. Surprised nobody has come knocking to try to drop off their taxes, despite me saying I was done with it last year. Could be cause they thot they’d catch the heebie geebies from me lol

some nice travel plans you are tossing about there, have fun choosing.
Just watched Psycho this afternoon, we didn`t watch it last night, but it`s not the same through the day, should be a night time watch. We do fancy a Hitchcock fest tonight now......
Not only at night but, no ambient lighting allowed either.

did you ever sit thru the original night of the living dead (filmed nearby & popularized the genre - know it’s not your favorite)? It’s another one, best suited to view in the still of the night.
Dh and older ds are out of town all week for work. So it's just myself and youngest ds. I'm thinking chicken fajitas for dinner tonight. Something quick, easy and filling.
A bit of a break for you then there. Nice to be able to spend some one-on-one time with ur DS

never attempted fajitas. Rarely order as they always sneak in cilantro, despite asking for none. they do look good sizzling away. Might have to give it a whirl.

Yes, enjoy your time with your DS!

I think the official age for retirement for women in the UK is 65, but no one we know ever works that long, well, my sister did, nurse who loved her job and only just retired. But most folks have no desire or more importantly any need to work into those higher ages, 40 was a good retirement age for me for the second and final time.....lol......yes, you don`t know what`s in front of you.

But all of my friends bar maybe two have all retired and did so by 50 or just over/younger and all love it!!

Fajitas are something I make at home, like you I never order them outside as there`s usually cilantro in the salsa and in the chicken mix, so I don`t bother, actually haven`t made them for some time, might do them soon.

I did start to watch Night of the living dead, but no, it`s not for me, I got too bored, you know me and zombies,I did try a second time, but gave up again, Tom didn`t mind it though and could have watched it.

I do love a good horror film in the dark, but I tend to always have candles burning at night, I do like that romantic feeling around the room, and I think it adds to the creepy atmosphere!! Not scary movies, but we watched Marnie tonight and Strangers on a Train, two of my favourite hitchcock movies along with North by Northwest and Dial M for Murder, might watch them tomorrow night.

Have you read about the new Monster Makeover Experience coming to UO? Going to be their equivalent of Disney`s BBB! Sounds quite interesting, worth a look.

Yep, tv filled night for us, had a snack earlier as we felt a little peckish, just some Brie, grapes and crackers, just enough for this time of night.

Will be up early as usual, and will be in school bright and breezy, yawning my head off right now, so I doubt we`ll be late in bed tonight.

Weather is calm now thankfully, should be decent next few days!

Quick catch up before dinner. Today was such a tedious day at work. I now want to spend some time doing something that requires little brain power.

Just popping in to say my insane husband applied for summer alumni disney program. They've loosened the limits of recent DCP completion to All alumni. I am dying here-he got a phone call to ask for dates as their files they can electronically access don't go back that far (1991) but will have to verify rehire status another way. He got to chatting with the recruiter and was told to expect a phone interview. OMG-what if he gets an Offer???
That sounds like it could be fun.

We went out to eat at local place and it was a local chain eatery.
O’ Charley’s.
Our O'Charley's closed recently and without warning. I really liked their dinner rolls. I hope something else moves into the building.

Glad to be back home in Florida.
How long do you usually stay in FL when I lived in Miami we made fun of the "snowbirds" but now spending winter in FL seems like a good idea.

Then there’s that overseas trip still on the horizon this year or maybe next.
Ooooh, where are going? I have not left the U.S. yet.

Would u believe he is still waiting for them to call him back & reschedule it? Told him to start calling them every single day & leaving a message at this point, yes, purely out of spite. Fine example I’m setting, call it a protest for poor service.
That's crazy. I would be calling every day too.

The mr got on that gravy train and now uses his regular cards and take cash as his rewards.
We use a cash reward card for most of our regular expenses. It paid for a large chunk of our Disneyland trip last year.

didn’t help to have an ex who had no concept of paying bills first, putting savings away, then having fun with what was left over.
Dh isn't quite that bad, but he does tend to spend without thinking sometime. I have threatened to put him in charge of paying the bills.

Have you read about the new Monster Makeover Experience coming to UO? Going to be their equivalent of Disney`s BBB!
I mentioned this to dh and he responded with "That would be so cool!" Do you know if this is going to be just for children like BBB?

Time to find something to eat and then do nothing for the rest of the evening.

No, will have to Google that. Love the idea. I was happy the ‘lil only did the princess makeover once.

She embraced the pirate makeover several times. Liked it seemed to be split 50-50 between sexes as participants.

Those girls were whizzes with makeup and eac had their own style of artistry vs the cookie cutter princess thing
We use a cash reward card for most of our regular expenses. It paid for a large chunk of our Disneyland trip last year.
Yes, it’s surprising how fast it can rack up

I don`t believe they`ve made than announcement yet, but sounds like it`s for kids, but who knows.

It`s funny I remember reading a report about how many Americans don`t have a passport and have never left the USA, I was suprised what percentage of folks didn`t, but on thinking about it, I`m not sure I`d need to leave the US either, you have everything from beaches to mountains to amazing cities and everything in between.

Hope you found something nice to do last night.

Yes, I didn`t know they did a pirate makeover at Disney! That does sound like a lot of fun and yes, it`s nice they have something for boys too that girls can enjoy also.

I have that back for first day at school feeling this morning! Not sure why as I`m only in for around 90 minutes, I`m gone before break time.....but it`s been a while.

It`s still a little too early for me to eat, so cuppa time and will grab some breakfast before I leave, egg on toast I think with another pot of tea. Lunch and dinner have still to be decided.

Then a day of not very much, I have some stuff coming this afternoon I ordered for the master bathroom, just some new towels, new shelving and two new mirrors for above the sinks and a new dark grey stone looking dispenser we fill with liquid soap, should be here by mid afternoon. Need to get the towels washed a couple of times before I use them though.

I`m thinking of having a cooking and baking weekend coming up, no plans to go out at all, it`s that time of year none of our friends feel like going out either, not very far at night anyway. I love spending the day in my kitchen, so should be nice.

Have a wonderful Thirsty Thursday ☺️

Oh thank you to one of my lovely American friends who sent me this during the night saying I`d appreciate it, I missed it altogether.

Someone has written a book stating you should add salt to tea....bleurgh, and also admitted even in America`s top restaurants you will never get a decent cup of tea in the United States......very true!!!

The American Embassy released this yesterday.....I did like their (I hope) humorous last line, but sadly I`m not sure it is meant to be funny!!! And completely disagree we share the view tea is a bond between our great nations......nope, America is most certainly a coffee drinking nation, we are still generally tea drinkers, although we do have a lot of coffee drinkers too.

1706168633672.jpeg

The Cabinet Office weighed into the row afterwards, with a statement saying: “We appreciate our special relationship, however, we must disagree wholeheartedly.

"Tea can only be made using a kettle"

Good to know they have nothing more important to worry about right now!!!

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Ah and to think a drink could have so much discussion, though certainly tea has been with our country since colonial times, as famous tea leaves dump in the harbor protesting Keisha’s favorite word, tea taxes by the English rule.

But most water based drinks, and ice cubes, taste of the drink changes when the local water is used. And why I usually buy bottled water in FLA.

Talking of tea and water, it’s raining and had a dense foggy commute this morning. But warm, as I passed by my outdoor thermometer, as saw 48 degrees on it. No wonder the dense fog. Most of the snow on our lawn is now gone. And with the bands of heavy rain to come throughout the day, not much snow or ice should be around. I wouldn’t say warm rain, but at least just rain, and not cold enough to make it otherwise. But happy we stay in the low 50’s today and the next couple of days.

So with tea, water and now rainy weather talk, it’s a good day to remind all a Thirsty Thursday is here. If you’re thirsty, enjoy a drink or two. Good to keep that body hydrated.

So a hope Robo is feeling better today, same with Keisha.

Pumpkin, nice to have spent a dinner just with your youngest DS. You, and family sound busy.

Charade, we have passports. We have been outside the US enough times, over the years, made sense to buy the passport, and both kids had to have kid ones twice before now having an adult one. Easy process now, to renew.

Ah last day of routine commuting, and did make it a lazy Friday. With the rain still around Friday morning, I want to sleep in. DH said when do we go to our errands we have to do tomorrow, and I said mid morning. Even if I get up early with him, I am going to relax before I have to get moving, for sure.

So hope all have a most Terrific Thirsty Thursday. Woot! Tomorrow is that most happy Friday feeling.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Well well........lol.....who knew tea was a sensitive subject!!!! I think China may have the original claim to ownership of tea......some of the comments are hilarious, but do agree with most, even with Americans, you don`t get decent tea in America :rolleyes1

Eventually, there was a gorgeous sunrise.....:sunny:

i-HFdrcWb-L.jpg

So, school was fun!!!! New bunch of children, they`re just sponges at that age and no filter, one of them asked how old I was and I asked how old did she think I was and she said well you can`t be older than 37 because that`s really, really old......:rotfl:

Out of the mouths of babes.....

Tom picked me up and headed back to finish what he was doing and will be home soon, I`ll be making us grilled sandwiches and decided to have baked salmon for dinner tonight, will make cauliflower cheese to go with it and some parmentier potatoes and maybe some lemon syllabub for dessert.

Time for the kettle I think......🫖

I am so ready to go home for the weekend. The day started off with me almost getting hit in the office parking lot. She was trying to make a left out of the parking lot while I was trying to turn right into it. She was taking up the middle of the road so I wasn’t able to make my turn. I stopped to let her complete her turn and she almost turned into me. She looked surprised to see me there and almost over corrected her SUV. She almost hit me in the same place I was hit last month. It wouldn’t have done any damage since she was barely moving, but still…..

There’s also the expense involved since most international travel involves leaving the continent. We didn’t do much traveling when I was little due to the cost. When we did travel it was to visit relatives. Most of my relatives lived in small, rural towns, so it was no fun for us kids.

Someone has written a book stating you should add salt to tea..
Um….eww.

Ah and to think a drink could have so much discussion, though certainly tea has been with our country since colonial times, as famous tea leaves dump in the harbor protesting Keisha’s favorite word, tea taxes by the English rule.
I share my birthday with the anniversary of the Boston Tea Party. Some day I hope to take a trip to Boston and visit the tea party museum.

Charade, we have passports. We have been outside the US enough times, over the years, made sense to buy the passport, and both kids had to have kid ones twice before now having an adult one. Easy process now, to renew.
The closest I have been to leaving the country is when we went to San Diego and took a drive while we were waiting for our hotel to be ready. We got within a mile of the Mexican border and then turned back. Right now dh is the only one of us who has a passport. He’s traveled to Canada and England.

I am hoping that my stair closet is finished when I get home. I found this sign for the door.

Thank goodness she missed you Charade, last thing you needed was another bash! You do wonder what some people see when they drive.

Yes, it`s not cheap to travel overseas, and it`s only getting more expensive every year. I`ve been lucky with travel, been all over Europe except Greece and Turkey, no desire to go to either and never been to Iceland. Been to Paris over 20 times and America over 30 times between Orlando and NY.....sorry to sound like a brag fest or be "competitive" but I do understand it is not a cheap thing to do. I do think you`ve been lucky in places you`ve lived, some folks have never moved at all from where they`re from.

I do remember going to visit relatives as child too, we were lucky that some of them lived in very nice places, but one place was in the middle of nowhere and after we played in the stream for an hour, we were bored.

The tale of the Boston Tea Party is a good one for sure, the Brits do like it too regardless what some will say!

I love that sign, it`ll be perfect for your new cupboard!!

That sign is so adorable!
Absolutely love it charade.

You`re back......:wave2:

Well, my packages that were supposed to arrive yesterday arrived today, minus the huge bath sheets, they`ll arrive tomorrow. But the new mirrors for above the sinks look good, just plain large circles with no rim, very minimalist. The main family bathroom has an oversized mirror too and it looks good.

Weather seems to have settled now, might start to get out some morning walks again soon, I hope so.

Settling down to watch some more episodes of The Killing, might have some ginger beer with lime, very exotic!!!

I plan to bake lots of cookies tomorrow.
Need some snacking junk food as Mr Mac said we have nothing good in our house to eat….!

Nice way to spend the day mac!! The aroma is different in the house when we bake, nothing quite like baking or cooking from scratch, I think that`s going to be my weekend ahead, we do love our snacks too.

Going out today to shop for the dullest thing ever, my laptop charger has died somehow. I noticed last night I had something like 22% battery when it`s always plugged in, switched to Tom`s charger and it was fine, he plugged mine in and it was draining his laptop. So as I use my laptop for lots of things including my TR, it`s as essential as a dishwasher, kettle and washing machine for me!!

And Tom wants to go to our butcher for a haggis, he made some for yesterday which was Burn`s night, but he sold out, so he has made another batch and said he`ll keep one large one for Tom. I`ll take a few tablespoons of it but that`s enough for me, I like it if it`s very peppery which this butcher does make it, even though he`s not Scottish he does quite a good job of it. Will pop into one of our local farm stores too for some fresh produce for the weekend too.

So no walking this morning, but we still have 44mph winds till around mid morning and then they`ll go down to around 20mph but it`s not as mild as last few days, so walking along the shore wouldn`t be fun anyway, but the sun will be shining so being home will be lovely, our kitchen is mostly glass as we have huge bifold doors which the sun just streams through and is very nice.

Plain old toast and marmalade this morning, lunch will be a bacon sandwich and Tom has his haggis for dinner, I`m going to have a chicken stir fry and a very spicy and gingery one too!

And Friday again, January is almost over and going into what is usually our coldest month!

First pot of the day is infusing......☺️

Have a wonderful Friday and weekend :sunny:

Fabulous Friday and sure enough it’s a week day, and loud traffic already heard.

Well, tried to go back to sleep after DH got up. Did a little, but decided a long, hot shower was just the thing I needed instead of sleeping more. And it felt wonderful, as oddly, house feels a bit cool. Will turn up the heat if I still feel cooler than I want.

Hair salon visit was a success, as no white hair seen for another month. Traffic on the other hand, getting there late yesterday afternoon was just plain icky. Left when it was already dark enough, my car lights turned on as I got in. Sigh. Winter time. But at least every day a little longer sunlight, until the Summer solstice. And even faster to that day long sunshine, given we go back to day light saving time keeping, months before that longest day of light.

Ah, so like that weekend feeling Friday for me. DH said he wants to go do that errand in two more hours. Well at least I’m refreshed, but will have to change out of my pajamas. No reason to otherwise do much until then. Time to see what other show I can find that I don’t remember, or at least will be background noise. Hate infomercials that are plenty in the earlier hours.

Weather, warmer day for us, and will be mostly dry. Only time rain to be around?
The time DH wants to go. But hey, the high of 56 late this afternoon, I’ll take an overcast day like today. Given more rain and maybe some mixing with snow Sunday night into Monday predicted. Sigh. At least not commuting to start that week day routine next week.

Thus, hope all have a most Fabulous Friday and the most Wonderful Weekend.

Good Morning. Hoping little one wants a later breakfast from one of the deli places we like. Week day lower prices for breakfast meals at both places. Hmm, only time little one gets up early is if wants to do something. Didn’t ask her about breakfast today, so will be a crap shoot as to what hour she decides to leave with me. I’m sure it will not be before DH and I go out. Maybe she’ll be up when we get back. At least most are having that lower price rate for another hour or so after we get back. The errand place, is also a toss up as to how long we are there. Sometimes they are just not having you get out of there in an any appreciable speedy manner, even when they aren’t busy. Which busy I doubt, given right after they open is when DH wants to get there. Sigh. But a woot! Lazy Friday so happy about that.

Good morning. I’m up earlier than I want to be. The contractor is still working on the closet. He usually gets here around 9:00 but this morning he showed up at 8:15. I really hope he finishes today.

Woke up with a sore spot in my back. I guess something happened while sleeping. I’m going to look for some Tylenol.

I do think you`ve been lucky in places you`ve lived, some folks have never moved at all from where they`re from.
I think I would have been happy if we had stayed in Georgia, but I am glad I have had the opportunity to live in other places. I have friends who have visited all 50 states. I think I have been to less that half.

but one place was in the middle of nowhere
That’s most of my relatives. When I was a child I vowed that if I had children they would experience fun vacations. Even when we went to visit my mom in a tiny town in South Carolina I found something fun to do with B so she wouldn’t be bored out of her mind.

I plan to bake lots of cookies tomorrow.
Need some snacking junk food as Mr Mac said we have nothing good in our house to eat….!
I’ll be at mac’s house today.

Going out today to shop for the dullest thing ever, my laptop charger has died somehow
Dull, but such a necessity.

And even faster to that day long sunshine, given we go back to day light saving time keeping, months before that longest day of light.

I can’t wait. I am so tired of it getting dark so early. I wish we could leave our clocks on DST.

My excitement this morning will be a trip to Hobby Lobby to get the pirate picture framed. Don’t know what else I will do with my day.

Hi and Happy Friday:) Time for a Friday catch up.

Schumigirl: Are we still talking tea? I am guilty of using the good old fashioned tea bag and usually have tea with honey! But my real love is coffee. I started drinking it at the age of 10 and haven't stopped. I really think the Embassy post was meant to be funny, at least that's how I took it. Also, Salt in tea???? Ick, no way!

As far as passports, we have the type that allows you to go to Canada or Mexico, but no where else. That works for us at this stage of life.

Sounds like your master bath overhaul is coming along:) It doesn't take much to change up bathrooms, just new towels, rugs and a few wall hangings for me.

Hope you get that new charger today too. It's no fun when that happens. And Haggis??? Ick, just Ick!
I loved the meme of the boys first day of school. A funny story about my son's first day of school. He came home and said it was good. I told him he would have fun the next day too. He seemed shocked and said, "I thought school was over now". I guess he thought one day was all he had to go, LOL. I had to tell him it was 12 years plus!

Charade: I'm glad you missed the bullet on another car crash! And it would have been in the same spot on the car as the last one? I also love your closet sign straight from Harry Potter:) I hope you back is better and just one of those things that happen at night and doesn't linger.

Hi Mac: Baking cookies sounds great! What kind are you doing? I usually bake chocolate chip or oatmeal cookies for us. I just sent my husband to the store, so he will bring back lots of snacks and a little food:)

Keisha: I hope your son's x-ray gets scheduled soon. It's irritating when you can't get in when you need to!

Pumpkin: It sounds like you had fun with your home care project:) I really loved working as an RN case manager in Home Care. It was so interesting to treat people in their own homes, and I still miss it.
No sunlight yet for us, just gray skies! But the temps are better. Sunlight always makes the day better but we don't get much of it here in the winter.

I made noodles this AM and they are drying pretty fast. Soon I can cut them up and put them in the pot with the roast beef and broth. I really like making them from scratch and also like cutting them into thin strips. We are having mashed potatoes and home made bread with it (french bread). I think we will definitely get our carbs for the day (or week), LOL.

Have a great weekend everyone:)
