Someones used my Credit Card!

you must have felt sick Tim, good news that Nationwide are sorting out for you

Nationwide fraud department has called. They spotted the dodgy transactions and automatically stopped the card - hence why it was declined at the vets.

They went through all the transactions over the past few days - all in Italy for telecoms (mobile) companies. Came to over £1000.

They have said that all money and interest from the dodgy transactions will be credited back to my account.

This happened to us as well
the fraud departtment phoned to let us know that our card was used
only they forgot about the interest that was charged , so that took a while to sort out
Good to know that they are keeping an eye out for this evil people

It happened to us last year. Our friends had their account cleaned out a few weeks ago 2 weeks later they had over a grand taken out of their credit card. some other friends had their credit card done at the same time. Apparently the same sort of thing using them to purchase foreign currency then going somewhere else to change it back to £. Hope you get it sorted soon Tim our friends both had theirs sorted quite quickly.

Had my bank account all but emptied last week, by someone in Spain, ive never been in spain in my life! so how someone has my bank info over there is a mystery, bank paying me back, no questions asked, as i was actually in my branch paying money in when one of the transactions were being made in Spain! still a pain in the nether regions though!
hanging is too good for these people.
