Someone stole my black cowboy top with vest, cowboy pants, cowboy hat and native american boots. Here is what they did:

They wanted to trade a five star bat magic for my 1 star bat magic, black cowboy top with vest, cowboy pants, cowboy hat and native american boots

So i told them to show me it and they did a five star bat magic

But when i got bat magic from trade i got a 1 star bat magic but by the time i checked they loged off

oh yeah and their tittle was <name removed>

yeah that is the problem with those multi star magics- you can't tell what you are getting when you trade- would definitely be a great addition for VMK to put in the trade window a way to see number of stars.

Sorry you got cheated- I had someone try to do a similar trade the other day- offering me a multilevel magic for something I had- and I told them there was no way for me to verify it was what they were trading and to please pick a trusted CL or one of my friends to trade too to see if it was legit

They refused insisting I just trust them- I said sorry too many bad apples that they could even pick the CL as long as the trade occurred in front of people I knew- lol no go

Well not really much you can do unless you can convince this person to later trade you the right pin- I am sorry there are scammers out there doing this- sure does give lots of people a bad name- and causes you not to trust many people

Isn't that the same person that Antonius had problems with? You should PM him and ask. Oh, by the way, the mods don't allow you to post the name of characters who scam you -- that is against board rules, so the mods will probably delete the name. But just remember it and don't deal with them again. Glad you reported!

I am very sorry for you. You did the right thing by reporting them to VMK. They can review the trade and take the appropriate action. We cannot allow names to be used, as we have no way to validate what took place and usually only hear one side of a problem.

As someone has already stated, trading for a multi-star magic pin can be risky. There is no way to determine how many stars the pin has in the trade window. The best way is to trade for many 1 star pins, or make sure you know and trust the person you are trading with.
