Is it easy? NO Does it work? YES! If you do it at least 3 times a week and take your time to learn the moves correctly.
Pilates is not something you can rush into, nor is it something you are likely to be good at in the beginning. Especially for those on the higher end of weight to lose (I had 80-100 pounds to lose when I started) it will seem impossible to begin with. Depending on what kind of shape you are in you may not be able to get through the whole thing (and I'm talking about the introductory video!) and there may be exercises you won't be able to do at all. Don't get discouraged. It took two weeks of doing the introductory video for me to get the moves down and feel confident with them. After that I stuck with the intro video a few more weeks until I could do all the moves successfully (though modified on some of them and even now I'm doing modifieds on some of the moves!)
yes it is frustrating but boy is it worth it! All the claims are true, you do feel taller, you do feel stronger and you are definitely more aware of your body at all times. It has helped my posture immensely not too mention I have much more muscle tone than I have in at least 10 years.
I love it and am dedicated to it. I see the results and they seem to be fairly quick for me, that's one thing I really like. I can feel and see the results so I am encouraged to keep going.
Good Luck in your choice, whatever you choose, stick to it and it will work!
