Someone please help me

I called pop to verfity that we need a non-smoking room for my dd who has asthma. Well we booked it through a travel agent so they wont tell me what is on there for special instructions or verify that they have down a non-smoking room for our stay. ARRRRRRRRR is there away around this. Like to call back and give the confirmation number and her name . I know this is bad but I need to know they have non-smoking she will literary die if she is in a smoking room. Please someone help me give me advice.

I would contact your travel agent and have them make the requests. Most of the rooms are non smoking but I would insist that the TA call and have that added to your reservation.

Using a travel agent can be good - and it can be bad. I had the exact same problem when I used a ta so now I book my own trips.

2 of us have extreme asthma. At one resort, we were given a smoking room and it was a disaster the very first night. We were changed the next day, but we were sick the rest of the trip.

Suggestions:
1. Bother your ta and ask them to verify the room request.
2. Fax your request directly to the resort with your confirmation number, check-in day. They may not speak to you - but a caring cm may see your fax and check on it for you.
3. When you arrive, ask if it's non-smoking. If not, ask for one. If they say there is none, talk to a manager on duty.

Are there prescription asthma meds? If so, it would help to have them on hand when checking in.

I have found Disney very flexible when it comes to health reasons. I really don't think you need to worry - I believe they will do everything they can for you at check-in.

I am in the same situation. My 6 year old dd also has asthma. We travel with a nebulizer and have had to leave other hotel rooms that have been smoked in. What I did is called the resort directly. They looked up my reservation and I explained everything to them and let them know that a non- smoking room was a medical necessity. They said no problem at all and put down on the reservation that we had a non-smoking room and it was a special needs request. We had no problems both times we did this. They could not have been nicer about it. Hope this helps.

I asked the ta to put down non-smoking not sure about the asthma part so long ago. I cant believe I cant verifty that request. I send off a note to the ta and then I will verify at checkin that is it a non-smoking room I will bring her puffers with us so they can see if they have any questions. Does anyone have the direct number for pop century so I can call or the fax number?

DH is an asthmatic too. We just have it noted on our reservation that we need a NS room due to his asthma and now DS and his multiple Ear infections. We have never had a problem w/ or w/o a travel agent.

I don't know about when you book through a TA but I do know when we book ourselves through CRO they put in N/S for medical reasons as my dh and ds have asthma so the request can definetly be made...I'd just push the TA to make sure the request is put in

THe lady there was so helpful she said there was nothing requesting n/s at all. I said it is do to my daughter having asthma. She was like okay medical condition you definetely will be getting a n/s room. I am so glad I was persistent and checked too.

I just asked CRO about this yesterday because ours doesn't list us as needing non-smoking for medical reasons. She said the TA would have to submit that to them because they can't change ressies made by a TA. Just have your TA call them and put on the ressie, non-smoking=medical reason and they will guarentee you a non-smoking room.
