Hello
Could you please help me. My family and I are leaving July 19th-26th. I made reservations at CBR because I thought our kids really wanted to go to WDW more than anything. Now it turns out they want to go to SeaWorld and Especially Universal Studios more than anything:rolleyes:  Ok since this is still June Hopefully I can swing this. Can you please tell me which hotels are smack dab in the middle of all the action. I know the parks are basically on INternational Drive and there are some miles between them. I wanted to know if you could tell me which hotels are the middle and if you know of any hotels with two room suites that are in the middle of international drive. In The middle meaning around everything other restaurants and stores because all the character meals I planned will not be used because, they think they are too old for them:rolleyes: PLease help if you can and if you know of any websites that would have international drive hotel info pleaseeee let me know. I really appreciate this. Another thing, I was told that when you purchase a pass to Universal you get a extra day because the pass itself is a two day pass:confused: If this is not correct can you please send me the right info. Thank you so much for your help.

I'm planning a trip in July and instead of WDW we're going to do US/IOA & Sea World (gasp!!!). I'm working on our schedule and hope to find one WDW day.

I think the $99 rate offered at the Royal Pacific is based on double occupancy. I've found so many different rates quoted so I'm not sure. I read on the US/IOA section of this forum about the Entertainment rate. I called and was able to get a rate of $109/night. They offer a $99 standard room entertainment rate but it wasn't available for my dates. I have the Disney Club card but I was told it isn't accepted in Orlando for the Entertainment rate. I went to the Entertainment Book web site and bought my hometown book for $15 (includes shipping). It was worth it for the trip savings and I'll use it locally. (You can make your reservation without the card and you still have time to order one.)

I'm excited about the front of the line access and I can't believe how much money I'm saving. My hotel is way cheaper than WDW on site and my park admission is cheaper.

We also plan to do Sea World and the Universal resorts offer complimentary transportation. I don't like to drive while I'm on vacation so this is another plus.

I just started making my plans last week so there's plenty of time to change yours. I highly recommend staying at one of the Universal Resorts. If you're mainly doing US/IOA I think you'll all be happy for the front of the line policy.

I forgot about the pass question. There are lots of options for passes. Sea World has 1 day passes for around $45 if purchased on line. That entitles you to a 2nd day free (within 7 days). US/IOA has 1 day passes, 2 day passes, 3 day passes, and 2 annual passes. They're currently running a 2day/3rd day free special and a 5 consecutive day pass all for around the cost of the 2 day pass. You can also buy a flex pass which gives you 14 days admission to US/IOA, Sea World, & Wet & Wild. It costs around $170 but gives lots of flexibility in park attendance.

I'd really suggest you read up on the Universal & Sea World forum section of this web site. It's just full of great information.

I got a rate of $30 for the Wyndham (3*) on international drive July 21-25 through priceline. You can go to biddingfortravel.com and click on Orlando hotels for information. Have a ball.

We went to Universal and Disney in May and stayed at the Vistana Villages. There are not any restaurants within walking distance, but if you have a car you will not have to go far. We got a two bedroom condo for $109 with the 7th day free through Hotel Kingdom. It is pretty much in between the two parks. 4 miles to disney and 10 to universal, I think. It is a pretty nice drive either way. You will barely have to leave I-Drive your whole stay. Sea World is only 2 miles away. I have been looking at places for our next trip to Universal and Disney and I cannot find anything comparable. They have nice rooms and a great pool area. The only thing I wish they had was a water slide like a lot of the disney hotels.

THanks guys wish me luck;) I am about to call for hotel info now. I couldn't do it earlier because I had to drive up north but let me tell you I am really thankful to log in and see helpful replies:) Thanks again
God Bless

I don't know if it is too late, but if you stay at any of the three Universal hotels, you get Front of the Line access to rides. They have a separate line for resort guests and all you have to do is show your key. We got Hard Rock Hotel recently with Fan Club discount for $159 pool view. They also give entertainment book rates. You may want to consider this to avoid long lines at USF/IOA. Good luck!

Thanks for the replys you all gave
I decided on Best Western Movieland which seems to be very nice and also we got the managers special:)
Again Thanks
