I am new and we don't travel much. We are planning a trip to Disney World for next May. I keep reading threads about concierge levels and I don't quite understand what that means. I searched this site and after reading 7 pages of threads with the word concierge I decided to put down my pride - look like an idiot - and just ask what this is and is it something my family of 5 (with three small boys) should pay extra for?
Thanks! :confused3

The deluxe resorts offer this service.

It's a wing or seperate building that contains a lounge. The lounge offers breakfast, snacks, dinner offerings and desserts. There is beer, wine and cordials offered in the evening. There are sofa, chairs and tables plus TV's in the lounge. Games are available for children, plus some activities. Plus all your drink are provides during the day, chocolate and regular milk, juice, coffee, tea's hot and cold, water, soda and fresh fruit.

The staff is available from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. to help with any problems, they will make dining arrangements, childcare services, recreation activities. They get you special transporation if you need it. You don't need to make any call they will do all this service for you. Check with your airlines. Make your changes if need be.

This past week GD had a charcoal portrait done. I did not want to purchase the plastic frame for $13 + tax. I wanted to get it home and have it framed in an antique frame. They secured it between 2 pieces of cardboard so it wouldn't smudge. They are awesome at helping with anything and everything.

It's a wonderful service with friendly and outgoing staff. That help to make your stay Magical.

Mamu did a great job describing concierge level. I think she mistyped though as concierge was open about 7am to 10PM when I stayed there at BWI. They will also do pre trip planning for you. They will arrange for tickets to Circ and make your ADRs and book fireworks cruises. They can't always get what you want, but they will try. They were also able to answer some question for me before I left home like what the weather was like and how I could have gifts delivered to our room.

I wouldn't pay for concierge again. It was fun, but I like making my arrangements myself, so I didn't have them do that. And the food offerings were good, but I like to eat out so we didn't eat in the lounge very often.
