and it is not me:headache:

Tried to get money out yesterday and I was told I had insufficient funds :furious: DH works in the bank so called him and asked why but told me he was busy and just to go into the branch. In I went and asked the girl at the desk to which she informed me that I had £2000 of pending transactions :scared1: At first I though it was DH buying some $$$$$ but on closer inspection it was loads of transactions for £200/£300 etc all used in Mexico. They did manage to have a Starbucks,go to the cinema and buy something in Sears which is nice :confused3

Filled in all the forms and proved we were not living it up in Mexico so just waiting for Fraud dept to refund our££££££.

It was our debit card and we dont use them online so not sure how they got the details:worried:

That's terrible! :headache: Maybe your card was cloned? :confused3

I hope you get your money back ASAP Jackie.

That's shocking Jackie. Hope you get your money back quickly.

Thanks guys - we are lucky enough to not be stuck for money and dont expect it will be too long but I would love to know where they got the details from? That is the unsettling part :confused3

:( A favourite scam is at petrol stations where they skim your card. Often alot of people get hit at one particular location in less than a day.

Claire ;)

How awful i hope it gets sorted soon! what a cheek

So glad you have your money back Jackie  .x.

Do you remember the scam that happened last month with Morrisons in Essex? Were someone on the checkouts was working alongside the security guard?Dh's cousin(22) had £1,500 taken from Pakistan,Dh's mum's friend(in his 80's) had £700 taken from Canada. There were lots of people who had,had there card cloned/skimmed from all around the Dagenham+Essex area+other places that were taking the money were Mexico+India. They are still waiting for there money.x.

Glad you got it sorted :goodvibes , but terrible these things happen in the 1st place :headache:

I have never used my debit card online, and only use it in a cash machine,Tescos, M & S and other high street stores so I am at a loss. All this technology and I just want to go back to using cash at the moment :confused3
