I know there was a thread previously but I just had to tell you. On the 19th of July we were taking my daughter and her three girlfriends to Victoria and Albert's for her 16th birthday dinner. When we pulled up to valet parking we saw some stunning SUV's parked. My DH asked and the valet told him that they were Shaquil Oneal's and he was about to leave. needless to say we stuck around and saw him and his family, surrounded by Disney security and personal security leave. Boy did that add to the trip. This was the first time we saw anyone famous.

Happy Birthday to your daughter!

LOL! My husband once ran into Shaq. Picture this. My 6' DH standing on an 18" platform. He looks up from what he's doing, and there's this guy looking him in the eye. LOL! It was Shaq :)

At any rate, we were at PI at the RRBC, I was standing next to this guy at the bar--he looked familiar. He said hi, was watching these two chicks dance on the dance floor. Finally someone told me it was Drew Carey. He had lost a lot of weight and wasn't wearing glasses.

I also ran into Regis' wife at the GF Spa. Didn't know it was her until someone told me. I'm really bad like that.

We saw Anthony Edwards and his family on the boat from Epcot to Boardwalk last December. He was Dr. Mark Green on ER and also in the Top Gun movie years ago (Tom Cruise's partner). He was 2 rows ahead of us, I looked up and was almost positive it was him, he was with his wife & 2 young kids. After I got home I looked up his bio on the internet and the kids ages matched up, so I'm positive it was him.

We saw a bunch of celebs in December 2001, Regis taped the Millionaire show and we saw it, plus him & Kelly taped the Christmas Parade. The Millionaire show was Olympic heros, we saw Bruce Jenner, Mary Lou Retton, Oscar DeLaHoya, Dan Jansen.

When Shaq purchased his custom SUV's at an Orlando dealership it made the tv news up here in the NY/NJ area. They must really be something!

DH saw Doc Rivers (sp?) I think that's the name when we were at the Sheraton Sand Key in May.

I don't think we've seen anyone famous at WDW unless I am forgetting.

Oh, my! How exciting to see Shaquille O'neil. I love it when I see really tall men (it's probably because I'm tall and my husband is shorter than myself ;) ). I saw a tall, Chicago Bulls basketball player once at the GF. (I was so tempted to ask him how tall he was but I contained myself.)

I'll be staying at the GF during the FUNAI Classic that is running from October 23 - 26 (click here for info ). I'm hoping to see some sports celebrities (but since I don't follow sports, I'm going to rely on my husband to tell me if any are in the vicinity).

Click here for the "Celebrity sightings at WDW Resorts" thread. And please feel free to add your recent celebrity sightings to that thread. It's always fun reading about who was seen while vacationing at WDW.

My celeb. siting was at MGM last Thanksgiving. We were watching those street performers by H & V and I happened to turn around and there was this "giant" of a man. ( and he is a SF Giant now. )

Andres Gallaraga. He plays 1st base for SF and was with Atanta, Montreal and a few others. I spoke with him for about 5 minutes basically just talking about baseball and his career.
What a super nice guy.

We saw Joey Fatone from N'sync this past March at Boarwalk Inn. We were pulling up to the valet and we noticed him right away walking to the parking lot. He was with a little girl in a stroller and a lady, maybe his girlfriend or sister.

When we took the family to WDW last year, we walked right past a film crew and Marc Summers doing a spot about the Mickey ears ice cream bars. That was last Sept. I finally saw the feature on the cooking channel a few weeks ago.

We saw Billy Joel and Christie Brinkley with their daughter and a slew of bodyguards at MK- I felt sorry for them that they couldn't just enjoy the park unknown like the rest of us. :(
And at AK- I saw that really neat travel lady (you know the quirky funny one with short hair that spends a night at fun places and lets you see all the rooms) from the Travel Channel (I think)- well, my sister absolutely LOVED that show and I would never ask for a celebrity autograph normally- but I figured "Hey, she might be flattered that someone loves her cable show" She was in the lobby and they were setting up for another spot- so she was by herself on the sofa and I very nicely approached her and told her how much we ENJOYED the show- and she gave a very sweet autograph- she's very genuine- now if only I could remember her name! :)

We saw Marc Summers when we were there last Sept. too. They were filming at the bakery on the boardwalk when we went to get breakfast. Ds (who was only 4 at the time) loves the cooking channel, so that was great for him :)

In 1980 in MK (our first trip to WDW) we had just entered the MK (all that was there than) my sister in law said HEH, There's Orville Redenbacker and it was all dressed up as on the comercials. my guess is he was shooting a comercial before the park opened

Imhall2000 That cute travel channel lady is Samantha Brown. I love her too. She really makes the show!

Who is Marc Summers? The name sounds familiar, but I can't place him.

ducklite Marc Summers is the host of the Food Network's "Unwrapped". I think he also used to do a kids game show quite a few years ago (trivia - anyone?).

Family Double Dare!!

Now I know who he is :)

Last October during the golf tournament Freddie Couples, Tom Lehman, and Duffy Waldorf were all sitting two tables away from our party at the CG. They had to wait for their table, too, just like all the rest of us and we first spotted them in the bar. Since we and the others we were with were there for the tournament we were really excited. I don't think anyone made a pest of themselves or interrupted their evening.

Yes, we're going back again this October and yes I already have our CG ressies!!!!

We'll be at the CR from October 23-Nov 1. I'll look for your ribbon.

In Dec of 2001 we saw...Regis & Kelly (I practically bumped into her in AK) , Mandy Moore, Wayne Brady, Wayne Knight (from Seinfeld), the weather guy from Good Morning America, and Mark Consuelos (Kelly's husband) and their little boy Michael. We sat right behind them on the Winnie the Pooh ride at MK!

It was a pretty cool trip!
