Someday: the Sequel! A Dec 2013 PTR

It doesn't cost much to add another days worth of tickets.

Yeah, I priced it out and its only about $45 dollars for the 4 of us. Jon said no... mostly because that is like spending $45 for the option of a quick serve meal. In some ways, he is right... but I am not telling him that! :lmao:

Just because you let me stick around, I'll go ahead and tell you that we actually do have a run in with a snake while on our trip. It's coming a bit later in the trip though.

I'm with Jen. I think that I'd see what the cost would be to add a day to your tickets. We usually buy an extra day of tickets just in case we decide that we need some more time in one of the parks. But, if you don't go that route, I'm sure that you'll figure out how to rework your plans.

Oh no! Not another snake!!! I am TERRIFIED of snakes!! When I read your last TR and saw how close you all came to the snake, I wanted to faint! I know I am going to tick off people when I say this but I am in the camp that the only good snake is a dead snake. I know they serve their purpose in the grand scheme of life... but that purpose should not be to scare me senseless! :lmao:

If you are like the rest of us your plans will change a number of times before you go. Just try to get those fastpasses on the days that you know for sure you'll be at a certain park that you really want.

I am almost afraid to post day #2! I am sure as soon as I do, I will find the problem!

I totally get the changing plans thing! As much as I want a set plan in place things happen. :guilty: Hopefully you will be able to work out your BOG FP lunch.

I know that I have mentioned Brenda making bracelets before. I guess I should explain that so you all know that no child labor laws have been broken. :rotfl2:

Brenda got into making these Rainbow Loom bracelets. When I say she got into them, I mean SHE GOT INTO THEM. From the very start of getting her own loom, she has taken off. I can't tell you many many bracelets she has made... all I know is it is well over 200 at this point. When my aunt saw them, my aunt wanted her to make her a few and my aunt paid her for them... and a business was born. Now, I didn't want her to simply spend the money as fast as she was making it. I wanted her to have some of her own money to take with her to Disney... for things like those expensive balloons that they ask for... and I forgot to buy last trip. :rotfl: This was money that I couldn't say no to since she had worked and earned it. She was/ is free to spend it however she wants. If she wants an expensive balloon, or another one of those light spinners... or whatever, I have LIMITED say it. Well, I had pictured her having an extra $50-$75, which is WELL past at this point. I thought I would be very happy with that. So, I told her a little lie. I told her that I would take her Black Friday shopping so that she could get somethings on sale and make the most of her money. Well, word got out that Brenda was making bracelets and that they were really nice... low and behold orders started to POUR in. She literately spends time each day working on orders for the extra "Black Friday" money. So far in September/ October alone she has made at least 20 Breast Cancer awareness bracelets (because I had to order more charms). She has made PSU, Steelers, Ravens, Bears... you name it!

So I think part of the reveal on Oct 27 is going to start something like... "Brenda, I know you have been working hard and trying to make money for Black Friday shopping, but we won't be able to go because you are taking your money to DISNEY WORLD instead!" Although, I am not coming right out and saying Disney. I have bought little gifts for the kids to hint at where we are going. Jon said the only Black Friday shopping this year will be at a convenient store! :rotfl:

Here is a picture of the 3 Disney style bracelets she has been selling. I am so proud of her. She has/ is working hard to make some extra money... and she loves when she gets orders. You should see the smile from ear to ear!! Its a great moment!! It's one of those moments that you can see the pride she has in herself!

I can say that I am the proud owner of four of those bracelets with more ordered. :goodvibes

Does she do a Tinkerbell bracelet? Also can she make them custom size as I have a larger wrist? Price?

41 days till my Someday!

Unfortunately she doesn't have any Tink charms.. which is a HUGE surprise since she loves the Tink. Right now she has the 3 mickey/ minnie charms in the photo. We are currently waiting for Belle and Arial to arrive... which should be any day, I hope!

She can make them larger, in fact, in all of mine, she makes them bigger since my wrist is also larger. The Disney ones are $5 and that includes the shipping.

I was talking with my DBFF today and she told me I needed to share this story with all of my awesome readers... So, if you like the story, say "Thank you Tracy" if you don't simply say "Well, that was boring" and move on. :rotfl:

First I have to tell you, there have been many "seasons" when it comes to our Disney thinking and feelings. There were times in the not to distant past when it just hurt to remember the good times that we had on our last trip. So we simply didn't talk about them. We avoided the subject like the plague. Those times were so full of pain we (Jon and I both really) couldn't stand to think about the happy times that (we felt) would NEVER happen again. Then this trip came along... and we were ok talking about all the great times... till the discount debacle. Then it was back to not talking about it. I should tell you to that the discount debacle came in the middle of summer... a summer full of recovery for Gavin, me being constantly tied to him, and both Jon and Brenda feeling like they don't ever get my attention. In the meantime, I am watching Gavin in so much pain that it was killing me. So, of course it was no talking about the trip... no thinking about the trip... just wondering how we would make it through the next 5 minutes without falling apart. Then one day Jon sat me down and explained that come he!! or high water we would be going to Disney in December. Things slowly started to look up and we started to talk about the happy times we had in 2010. Times we wanted to live again and again. I think the kids take their clues from us... when its ok to talk about Disney... and when to avoid it all cost. In fact, and this so completely breaks my heart, I have even heard Brenda say that she doesn't believe we will ever make it back. I know she got that from me... And I feel terrible for taking that dream away.

But... (And this is the part that Tracy told me to share with you all)lately we have been talking about Disney non-stop some days. We talk about what we would do "IF or WHEN we ever make it back to Disney"... remember the kids are still clueless... at least for a few more days. ;) Well, as I have posted about before Brenda is all about making these bracelets. She is doing so well trying to make her "Black Friday" spending money. So we were sitting on the couch about a week or two ago and she was working away at her bracelets while we were visiting. She asks me "Mom, when we go back to Disney, do you think I could leave the Mousekeepers bracelets with the money you and daddy leave for them?" It warmed my heart to know she is so kind and giving. I wanted to make sure that she didn't think she would get paid for those and she goes on to tell me in no uncertain terms that she WOULD NOT take any money from the mousekeepers for the bracelets. They are her gift to them. Wow! What a sweet daughter I have. Always thinking of others. She is a pretty great kid and I lucked out. I lucked out on both of them, really! But Brenda just warms my heart. She reminds me that if we teach our children to love one another and be kind, the world really could be a better place.

Ok, that was my Brenda brag. I am sure you will get more of them from time to time. There are some Gavin brags too that I will post from time to time! Both of the kids are pretty darn great in my book!

I think Brenda is a pretty amazing girl. I've read other "Brenda Brags" you have posted and they are very touching an always surprising because honestly not many kids have that much compassion at a young age, at least not as frequently ;)

Thank you. Brenda is pretty amazing. Often, Jon and I are asked what we did to have two kids that are so kind and caring toward others. I have no idea. We simply love them and try our best to show them that they should love others. I really think it must be something in our water! :rotfl: Both of my kids would give you the clothes off their back... or the last piece of candy if you wanted it. Most of the family has learned that you have to be careful when you are joking around and asking for things. Both of the kids will often turn over whatever you asked for...and don't want to take it back when they find out it was a joke.

****** A message from me! *******
If you sent me a PM tonight about buying bracelets from Brenda thank you. I have replied to all the messages I got. If you don't have a message from me PM me again. My computer hiccuped in the middle of replying to messages!

LOL...more changes... or should I say less changes...

Friday night Jon come homes from work, although I guess that is more like Saturday morning to normal people, and told me he had everything all figured out. I said "Do enlighten me, oh wise one?" :lmao: Yeah, like those words would EVER come out of my mouth. He then hands me a $50 Disney Gift Card and tells me to go add the extra day of park tickets. :goodvibes What a good guy he is. He told me that he had been thinking about things. He knew that it was most likely our only night for the electrical parade and BOG was something that was tops on all of our lists. He said that he wasn't ready to have things start off on a sour note all over 1 silly day of park tickets... Maybe he really is "oh wise one". :rotfl2: In any case, he is mine and I am lucky to have him.

Also had to fill you all in... Last night the kids and I were curled up together on the couch watching Mosters Inc. I swear every commercial that came on was a Disney one. Each time they came on the kids would get kinda sad and tell me how much they miss Mickey and Minnie. I almost gave in... in fact, I think that if Jon were here I would have. But I couldn't let him miss out on the kids reactions. Next Sunday is the BIG REVEAL day!!! I can't wait!!!!

I'll be back with day #2 plans... most likely tomorrow once I get the kids on the bus!

I know I promised you all that I would post day #2 plans... I must keep my word or risk losing even more of my readers... and I really don't want to lose anymore because it's the super cool readers that are still with me.

I know you were all super excited to read that Jon gave in, or I mean decided, that we should add a day. :lmao: I know I was happy to just not have to redo all the plans to fit more things in to less days. The plan is already much much fuller than I would like it.

Kathy, I will tell you now... no Day #2 is not a sleeping in day. Oh, I am sure that I will be wishing that it were a sleep in day, but NO! We don't have too many of those.

Day number #2... or December 1st if you prefer will find us up and out the door in time for a before the park opens reservation for breakfast at Crystal Palace. This will be our first sit down meal of the trip since the previous day was all about Be Our Guest. Last trip we LOVED Crystal Palace. There was something there that Jon RAVED about for at least a year after the trip, but right now I have no idea. I want to say salmon but that's not breakfast so I am lost! Our goal is to get some of those beautiful pictures on Main Street without a million people, or even a hundred people clutter our family picture.

I should also mention that I really flubbed this last trip. I had no idea they taped the Christmas parade that early and I planned our Crystal Palace picture for, you guessed it, parade taping morning. It also happened to be a morning when Brenda was not feeling 100%. I am hoping this is a much better reservation this time.

After breakfast we have 3 fast passes planned. We will hope over to Tomorrowland and ride Buzz and Tomorrowland Speedway. I am sure they will be hits with the kids. Then we will head toward Fantasyland for our first ride, at least this trip on the Mad Tea Party. The other thing we really need to hit this day is It's a Small World since it will be closed for refurbishment for the rest of our trip. It's another ride we didn't ride last time. Jon is not excited for this but I told him I want to go at least once. We should be done with all the Fast pass rides by late afternoon and then we are hoping the monorail and going just one stop to... Yep, Chef Mickey's! I know the food is not the best, but the kids kicked off the last trip there. The goal at dinner is to get the autographs for the Fab 5. This trip the kids are having the characters sign a tote bag. Last trip we did a pillowcase. I was planning that again till a dear sweet friend pass along an awesome Vista Print coupon. Once they come in I will post a picture of all the great things I got for the kiddos from Vista Print... I am just hoping they don't pull my order because of the pictures and things on it.

After Dinner, I am sure we will ride the monorail the whole way around and go back to MK. Where we will catch a bus back to pop... for what is one of the most exciting things this trip!!!! :dance3: We are surprising the kids and meeting up with their favorite (and ours) Miss Tracy and Mr Bill!!! :dance3: The kids will be in their glory!!! They have such a special place in their hearts for both Tracy and Bill. The kids honestly believe Tracy and Bill live in Disney World. Jon and I have been trying very hard to remind them that Bill and Tracy live about as far from Disney as we do... only in a different direction. Tonight at dinner, we talked about "IF we get to return to Disney" meeting up with Bill and Tracy were second ONLY to Bippity Boppity Boutique (For Brenda) and meeting Mickey and Minnie (for Gavin). I truly think they will be so surprised because we aren't telling them about Bill and Tracy till we meet up with them that night. After we all either fall asleep from lack of sleep or the Pop cast members kick us out for being rowdy we'll head back to our room.

For those that remember the last trip, we always talk about the best thing of the day before we drift off to sleep. I am sure I know what will be tops on our "best thing" list on this night!

I like this update...because it's two days closer to when I arrive. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Crystal Palace. :cloud9: I love that place and especially before the park opens. Puffed French toast, potato casserole, Puffed French toast, Mickey waffles, Puffed French toast.

Seriously, the plans sound absolutely wonderful (although what is your third FP for? if I read it right, Buzz and the Tomorrowland raceway were the first two?).

I'm not a fan of Chef Mickey's at all (I'd do breakfast if I did anything there), but I can certainly understand why this is going to be a very specil meal for all of you. I'm so glad you are getting to see Bill and Tracy again.

Hello!! I am so happy you got everything squared away and got that park day added. I knew it would happen :goodvibes.

You are about as crazy as we are trying to stuff everything we can into our trips :rotfl:. I can't wait to see the pictures from MK that day, they will be wonderful.

I am with Kat, not a fan of Chef Mickey's but I totally get why it's great for you guys.

I am working on getting a different reservation so we can get to Pop earlier.

I CAN NOT WAIT to see you and your family again!! I hope we eat CARROT CAKE with Gavin :lmao:.
