Hi, here is another one of those "Jersey week, soap weekend, food and wine posts".
Well, my family and I are arriving late Sat night on the 8th. We will be there till the next Sat. I am figuring that Sun and Mon will be busy, but what about the rest of the week? Should I expect that the crowds will drop or stay busy? I've never been this time of year so I am trying to prepare myself for what to expect.
Thanks!

Our family will be there at almost the same time as yours - we arrive in the AM of the 9th at AKL, till the 12th, then over to the Poly on the 12-16th.

I'm really hoping that crowds will be lower than it looks, or that they will PLEASE extend hours and parade nights! It doesn't look promising that the Poly is overbooked that weekend!

Hope this didn't affect you!

We will be staying in garden view concierge - I'll be wearing a lime green Passporter pin, and a Passpouch with a green ribbon - Say hi if you see me! I'll have my three angels  with me! They are dying to try out that volcano slide!

I think it will be reasonably busy but not crowded.....otherwise for example, Disney would have higher rack rates for that period

Also, I am being positive since we arrive Nov 9

Thanks

We were down there last year at that time. And it was great. It really wasn't that over crowded. For the Super Soap the people really are just wanting to check out the stars so while the MGM is VERY crowded most rides are walk on. It takes alittle time getting through the crowd of people but if you get the schedule for the actors you can avoid the high crowded areas. Hope this helps.

We were there Sept 27th-Oct 5. The bus drivers said that the resorts were only at 60% occupancy. However, the week starting the day we left until the end of the year was at 100% occupancy. So I imagine the crowds are going to get heavier. We were lucky and walked on just about everything. Hope the luck holds out for you.

I also heard that starting in October that the resorts will be at capacity. here's a link to another thread regarding nov. crowds. You have more to consider than just SSW, there are alot of factors to consider relating to crowds. And keep in mind, this is the first year Disney has done the FTP, so you can't compare earlier years crowds to this year's crowd. I've seen the difference first hand during my July and September trips.

Just wanted to say that even if it IS extremely crowded, you are in a perfect position NOT to worry about it. You'll be down there for a WEEK! That's the cool thing about extended stays. While those who are only down there for a few days will have to work at seeing it all, you can take a much more leisurely pace, and go back to parks at different times of day. Also, with this "non-commando" mindset, you'll enjoy yourself much more, and I suggest you do just that. We stayed at GF this summer for a week (something my husband had threatened years ago that he would never do!) and it was SO pleasant. We planned each day some things we really wanted to get in, and anything on top of that was fine. And we did a lot! Enjoy-and by the way, we are leaving on a jet plane tomorrow for the World and the Poly!:bounce:

I'm hoping you're right. We booked our trip a long time ago and figured crowds would be light. Wasn't until reading some of the recent threads that "Jersey Week" existed. I know I should relax and there's nothing I can do about it now, but unfortunately I'm the worrying kind.
