So I can't afford a WDW wedding:sad1:....so we are going to try and incorporate it as much as possible to my hometown wedding.....what kind of ideas do you have that I can do... I am going to name the tables after the WDW princesses...what else can I do???

I truly think you can do a WONDERFUL wedding with a Disney feel outside of WDW.
Cinderella & Prince Charming Cake Toppers (since your doing princess named tables)
The Ever After invitations.... crown and coach decor... pick a princess color dress and play off of it...
Music will have a big part as well.... You can do this :)

Disney wedding ideas:

A Disney Themed Wedding How-To

Clear Cinderella slipper favors

The Disney Wedding Blog

Carriage Placecard Holders

My ideas:
1. Pay homage to your favorite ride by using it as a theme. Example: teacups. Use teacups for holding your floral and stick little hidden mickey rhinestone picks in them.

2. Center it around a particular Disney film. I had actually thought about doing a Beauty and the Beast themed wedding with lots of gold blue and red, and having red roses under glass domes on all the tables. My stationery would have had little vintage clocks and candelabras (Lumiere and Cogsworth), and I was going to give chocolate roses as favors. I had it all planned out. ha!

3. Use hidden Mickeys wherever possible: your bouquet, embroidered somewhere in your dress, on the bottom of your shoes, in the groom's boutonniere, on the invitations, etc.

4. Use a castle theme and have a castle cake. If you decide against floral, use castle picture frames on each table and fill them with black and white or sepia copies of your engagement pictures. Find castle shaped confetti.

5. Find a particular Disney emblem and just use the crap out of it. Examples: the Carriage, Cinderella's slipper, ears, the sorcerer's hat, etc.

6. Make your stationery in the shape of a theme park ticket.

7. Recreate the fireworks by using sparklers and other small fireworky-type-things at your reception. Play the Wishes music as your grand finale as you and your groom leave the party.

8. If you're really feeling daring, have each bridesmaid dress be the color of one of the princesses, and theme her jewelry around that princess. Yes, daring, I said. :)

Maybe I'll think of more later. :)

I am having a at home Disney wedding. I have my cake Disney, favors, music and hidden Mickey's. Also having a Mad Hatter bridal shower. It is going to be fun and I am worried about the hat my MOH is making me! They found some over sized teapots in fun colors and put bright flowers inside. You will have a great time finding creative ways to put the pixie dust on your wedding. Check out my PJ for the ideas.

I did the same thing when I figured out I couldn't afford a Disney wedding.

Some ideas:

Google the Disney font to use on your place cards and such

Record Disney wedding specials and if you see a cake you love, take a tape or DVD of it to your local wedding cake place and ask them to recreate it

If you are crafty, glue pearls and rhinestones on to your veil to make mickey heads

I had mickey cufflinks made for my DH with black and white pearls

Get a mickey punch to make confetti for the tables

order the official white chocolate castle that disney uses on their cakes:

Ok, that's all I have for now. Good luck!

You could make up those mickey head flower pomanders for flower girls/junior bridesmaids. They're really cute :lovestruc

I originally wanted to have a Disney Wedding but changed my mind when I realized most of my family could not afford to join us.
So far I found Cinderella Coach candle wedding favors, Cinderella invites, castle place card holders, and the cutest Cinderella Wedding M&M's for additional goodies. Instead of a veil I am wearing a pink and silver tiara and I want my flowers sprinkled with pixie dust! And the best part we have extra money to go on DCL honeymoon! So you can do it and love it:cheer2:
