some ?'s about bringing baby..

Hi!
We will be leaving for Disney in about a week and a half, bringing our 8 year old son and 9 month old daughter. I had a couple questions, since this will be our first time traveling to Disney with a baby.

Is it doable to bring her to the waterparks? I thought maybe me or my husband could go off with our son, and the other could stay with the baby. Or will it be too sunny/hot for her? My parents will be traveling with us, so it is an option to leave the baby with them for a little while, but I don't want to do this all the time, and I know my son will want to do the waterparks alot.

Is Disneyquest stroller-friendly? I know my son will want to go here too, but wasn't sure about bringing the baby/stroller.

Also, how many toys do you bring for your 9 month old? I don't want to overload the car

We brought our 12 Month old to Disney and it was very easy and enjoyable. We did not do waterparks or Disney Quest so hopefully someone else can help you out with advice for those. We did not bring any toys for the baby and he was just fine playing with cups and spoons in the kitchen. I wouldn't pack alot of toys. Have fun!

Everywhere at Disney (other than the restaurants) is pretty stroller friendly. You could do the waterparks but someone is going to have to sit in the shade with baby. She is old enough for sunscreen now so you could put some on and take her into the child splach/play area for awhile. Personally, I would give her to grandparents and only do one day at the waterparks. That way your son could have one special day with all your attention (since I'm sure baby is getting a lot of attention right now!) We swim every day at Disney in the pool so DD doesn't really care about the waterparks.

I also wouldn't bring a ton of toys (maybe something to chew on if she's teething). If she has a favorite comfort item...bring that.

We brought our son to Disney when he was 7 weeks old. We enjoyed everything EXCEPT, strollers are NOT allowed in DisneyQuest, so be prepared with a sling/backpack. Also, bring a fan to attach to her stoller at the water park(s). She may nap if you plan it right, and it gets pretty hot, even in the shade, if you're not wet! Have fun!

We're going in Oct with our then 9 month old DD. We've been to Typhoon Lagoon a few times and there are some really nice shaded areas, but you have to get there early to get a seat. Last May, we noticed a couple of quiet, shaded areas towards the back of Typhoon Lagoon that weren't filled to capacity, so if you don't find anything near the front of the park, try the back...

I'll echo in here. Typhoon Lagoon has some very nice shady spots (even in the water), so my 6 months olds have always gone there (you definately have to get there when they open), but Disney Quest does not allow strollers and also most of the buildings in Epcot make you park the strollers outside too, just so you know.
