Hi

I have decided to book a couple of character meals whilst we are in disneyland next month..

I have decided on Lucky Nugget Saloon for one of them, does anyone have any suggestions for the best time to eat there to try and catch some characters??

Then I was thinking Buzz's Pizza planet as my son Loves Toy Story to bits, but everysite I look on, it has bad reviews :( So i Cant decide now.. but If I did, are their characters there all the time, or is there a time I should aim for???

Lasty I am going to go back to Cafe Mickey for an evening dinner (after finding out what time the park closes in December) Are their may characters there at 7 - 8 pm?? Is there a good time to go???

Thanks :)

Hi,

The Lucky Nugget is a character lunch, so the characters are there the whole time the place is open for lunch (12noon to 3pm I believe).

The tea party at the Pizza Planet (at 5pm) is the character meal there - there are no characters usually at the Pizza Planet apart from at the tea party.

There will definitely be characters out between 7pm and 8pm at Cafe Mickey - the characters start coming out there at just after 6pm every day, and continue on their rounds pretty much continuously until after 10pm.

For Lucky Nugget I'd book for noon (when the first lot of characters come out) but get there a few minutes earlier so you're sorted with a plate of food and your drinks.

It's also quieter so you get more attention and you can request a table on the floor instead of the outer areas.

We booked our meal at The Lucky Nugget for 1 pm and the characters were already out.
Not too many, Hook, Cat from Pinocchio, Baloo, Rafiki and Goofy, they kept going around the tables and never changed.

hi, we are doing cafe mickeys at about 6.30pm next week, so will post on here when I get back how we find it! I had some really good advice off here about what time to book it for etc, and the general consensus was earlier was better!

oh really hmmm. confused again now lol..

I was thinking booking for about 7.30 so that I never missed anything going on in the park when closing at 7.. as unsure what time Fantillision will be on week nights in December..

I know its really hard to get details - the website is still showing up to the 14/11 :cutie: A few people thought it may be quieter a little bit earlier, but as long as you book it may be better to get the extra park time in :rotfl: I'll let you know how I get on though!

When I went to Pizza Planet several years ago (so this may have changed since then!) there was nothing very Toy Storyish about it. And the food was APPALLING. You'd be better off eating somewhere better and then getting your son to meet Woody/Jessie at Woody's Roundup instead.

I don't know about the counter-service meals at the Pizza Planet, but the character meal there now at 5pm each day is Toy-story based - characters and all (including Buzz) :goodvibes .

I am just back from Disney and we went to the 5pm birthday tea party. I have to say I was very very disappointed. it cost €76 for the 4 of us. Last time I was at a character tea party there were some savoury snacks as well as goodies, there were none this time (I am not a sweety person). The kids only had about 4 little cakes each (there were plenty though). The whole thing was rushed, we were almost the last people there at 5.45, the staff were clearing up and we felt we had to leave. Finally the biggest disappointment was that there were only 3 characters for the tea party, 1 of which we didn't get to have a photo with as we went to the loo :confused3 . (Last years tea party - at halloween - there were about 12 characters). Overall I felt it was a rip off and wouldn't recommend it.

PS. Does anyone know where I make a complaint about this.

Any time I've needed to complain to, or contact DLRP, I've used this email address.

'DLP.GUEST.COMMUNICATION@disney.com'

Hope this helps,

seriously reconsidering the tea party then...

its buzz that would make my sons face light up..is there anywhere to try meet him?
