Some quick questions...

I had a couple questions...

We used to go to DL frequently (just went in 2005), but this will only be my third time at WDW. I know DL has these awesome Mickey pancakes. Do they have something like that at WDW?

My next question...I saw in a couple of trip reports that people got shave ice from some kind of cart in Japan at World Showcase. Do they always have this cart? and where is it? My DD loves shave ice, so I think she'll really enjoy having it at WDW.

WDW has Mickey waffles at most of the buffets. I haven't seen the shave ice cart in a long time (almost 2 years now, sigh), so I can't help you there. Sorry!

I'm sorry, I was totally unclear (sorry, sick today). I meant I haven't BEEN in almost two years, so I don't remember where the shave ice cart is. People talk about it, so I'm sure it's hanging out somewhere, just waiting for your daughter!!

Hi there!
We love the shaved ice in Japan, it's called Kaki-Gori, and it comes in four flavors; choice of strawberry, honeydew melon, tangerine, or rainbow (all three flavors).
I believe it is sold on the Germany side of the Japanese pavilion, back toward the back of the building.

The shave ice was there last time I was at WDW!
But I have a question....you live in Hawaii....are you on Oahu?..there is AWESOME shave ice on the North Shore at Matsumoto...Japan's cant POSSIBLY be as good as!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I live in Oahu. I LOVE Matsumoto's but it's so far we hardly go there. We're actually pretty picky about our shave ice, so I hope the one at Japan is good!

My sister lived in Hawaii for 5 years and every time I went to visit we HAD to go to Matsumoto's!!!! Well worth the trip! Enjoy your shave ice in "Japan" I found a link with more info...pm me if you are interested!

Isn't the Mickey pancake the BEST? My dh still talks about three years later!

I strongly recommend the rainbow. It's awesome!!! And they load it with a lot of flavor. The shaved ice cart this past summer was located right next to the main building in Japan. There are some shade trees and it was located right under it. If you're looking at the building, I believe it's on the left.

OMG! Are you talking about the pancakes for inside the MK @ DL ? If I remember them as a lil girl as being the best ever. I am not big on pancakes either but loved my MM pancakes.
