1. Is the Big River Grille and Brewing Works tasty? Do they have good beer? And do you need/can you get an ADR for this place?

2. Do you need an ADR for the Plaza Restaurant?

Thanks for your help!

The Big River Grille and Brewing Co. is a nice location to sit outside and eat on the boardwalk. It's been hit or miss for us as far as the food and service goes. I've had a nice meal of penne pasta w/grilled chicken and appetizers, but we've also had burgers there that didn't measure up and servers with bad attitudes. That being said, if you are into trying new beers, I think it's a cool thing. I'm not into beer myself but when my brother went he ordered samplers of the beers and really liked them. Hope this helps.

I'm not sure about whether the Plaza would require an ADR. I've eaten there before without one but that was before the dining plan was so popular. Have fun!

We had good sandwiches at Big River. My turkey sandwich was toasted and btuttery. YUM. They serve kettle chips instead of fries. DH ordered the sampler and enjoyed three of the beers - the others were fruity and odd, according to him. This place gets a bad rap here at the Dis, but we found it to be fine for lunch.

Plaza takes ADR, and this has always been one of our favorites for a nice lunch, but our last meal here (aug. 06) was sub-par. Tuna was way fishy tasting (go to Columbia Harbor house if you want a nice tuna sandwich), and the serivce was poor. Waitresses seemed flustered, and lots of dirty tables. Could have just been short-handed (I hope!).

Big River is a good spot for a beer and a burger. Service (for us) there has been pretty poor--nonchalant is about the best I can say. The meatloaf (a specialty of BRG) has gone downhill. The beers are typical brew-pub selections--4 or 5 "regulars", some seasonal specalties. My favorite is Wowzer's Wheat.

Big River is one of my favorite lunch places at WDW. As others have said, it's nice to sit out on the Boardwalk and enjoy a relaxing lunch away from the hustle and bustle of the crowds. I have always enjoyed my meals there (I especially remember some great quesadillas) and the beers are also very good (specialty brews which can not be found elsewhere at WDW). I have never had a problem with the service either. All in all, a nice place for a casual sit down meal.

I'm almost positive that the Big River Grill does not take ADR's. It's been awhile since we ate there. Didn't really care for it. Service was slow and well, we were disappointed in our food; lets leave it at that! ;) But if you enjoy beer then you may really like this place.
