The reason i was asking about the photos was that we recieved the same ones at the photo desk yesterday and i was trying to find out if they came from the same person. We managed to figure out that they were taken in the US. They also weren't take on a digital camera becuase all the images have the name slide1 slide2 .... which tells me that they were taken with slide film. I know the names can be changed to what ever you want...but why change it to slide??? Also there is no Exif data in the images. That is information that is embedded into the image when it is shot with a digital camera telling you what camera it was taken with as well as when, where, and how the images was taken.
We ran into a similar problem just after the Tsunami...we recived a bunch of pictures of a giant wave coming over a break wall and taking out a bunch of people and cars. After looking closer at the image you could see that it was shot somewhere in Asia...and with a little more digging we found it on the net..it was shot in the early 90's as a typhoon hit Taiwan. Some of the papers were duped into running them. This is something everyone whould be aware of. People should be carefull where they get thier information.
Take a look at the site.
