Orlando International Airport put out a tweet saying they are closing to commercial operations at 4p today (11/9).

Some of the replies...
"Will incoming flights still be coming in?"
"I have a flight at 4:20p will that be cancelled?"
"If a flight is supposed to land after 4, will it land?"
"Is this for departures and arrivals?"
"I have a flight scheduled to land at 4:30p. Will it be cancelled?"
"What about flights landing at 5, that were already in the air at 4?"
"Does this mean flights departing after 4 will be cancelled?"

I know. Sometimes I just hate social media because I see how dumb people are. It sucks my soul some days. Even prior to that being put out, people were in every sort of Disney forum on Facebook/Reddit etc, asking Orlando-area residents about their flights. So weird. I get that it's the WORST thing to happen when you've got a big tripped planned, but gosh don't be a public idiot.

Long morning -the humor went way over my head.... LOL

I don’t know what happened to common sense. However, even if you didn’t see the original announcement yesterday regarding the airport closure this afternoon, and you have a legitimate question, you would think contacting your airline before anyone else should be your first thought. Duh! 🙄

These are the people who ask things like:
"What time is the 3 o'clock parade?"
"Check in time says 3pm. It's now noon. Can I check in?"
"It says 48" to ride. My kid is 40". Can she ride?"

A friend used to work at Guest Services at AK, and tells of a guest who came up with a guide map and asked her where the “You Are Here” logo was.

My sister used to work at the Magic Kingdom. She got asked stuff like this all the time. My favorite was when she said people asked her where the Harry Potter rides were.

I like asking CMs at Carousel of Progress, “Does this go upside-down?”

I’m easily amused.

My middle child has worked at the Disney Store and Disneyland several times, lol. She would get so frustrated with people sometimes.

She currently is a VIP host at Legoland CA, and gets questions about Disneyland, WDW, and Universal. (On the days when she doesn't have a VIP tour, she gets to wander the resort, and do 'magic favors' for people, or help show them where to go, etc.)

We should start our own list of dumb airport questions relating to the hurricane.

- If MCO closes at 4PM can I still wait in the boarding area in case something changes?
- If I check my luggage prior to 4PM will my flight still depart?
- If I am in line at the counter to drop off luggage/check-in prior to 4PM will my flight still depart on time?

You say that like it's a bad thing.:laughing:
I always felt it was unfortunate that McDonalds was the poster child for bad eating habits in this country. Lose that big dollop of special sauce (aka Fat) and they are fine. Those coffee shakes have way more calories and fat grams than a Big Mac does.
