OK, I've read other threads on here that start of quite 'up beat' no complaints and 'positive'...then, eventually there ALWAYS has to be the one or two people that have to post something that tries to 'bring down' the positive.

But,I believe that some people are just out to 'attempt' to make people mad. And then, they get sucked into that thread just to 'throw others off'.
And to the people doing that- I feel sorry for you, because the only reason why a positive thread should have a 'negative remark' added is because that 'negative remark' person is trying to bring others down so they can make themselves feel better. Way to go with making yourself feel better:thumbsup2:thumbsup2.

Sure, there are people with actual views- and actual disagreements- that's understandable! I know- I do it too, but for those threads that aren't asking for any type of 'sides to be taken' what a pathetic waste of time to try to 'wreck' other people's positive attemps at a thread.

I've decided to focus on the positive in the good threads. I've had too many wasted days of people trying to create pointless problems in a world that has enough problems.

And 9 times out of 10, they put a "smiley" after the post, right? As if they are saying "Who, me? I didn't mean anything by it"

well that saying "Misery loves company" is DEFINATLY true! they're just unhappy people so they have to make everyone else miserable with them.

Yeah, I get a good laugh out of the little smiley after a snide remark is posted- it's like we really believe that they are 'happy people'

Lately there's been a lot of misery loves company here. I mean, I've had my 'vents' and 'complaints' threads- but I'm mainly talking about the positivly started threads that have attempts to 'get ruined' by one or two loosers with nothing bette to do than attempt to ruin other peoples days.

I do think there are a few posters here who deliberately try to pick fights with people and probably don't even believe what they're typing - they do it just to provoke.

The ignore feature is fantastic. It's a great way to never have to see those posts anymore. :thumbsup2

This happened to me just last week! :( I asked for feedback regarding preschool for my daughter and I was made fun of, judged, received snide remarks... Absolutely ridiculous! sigh!

I should know better than to let that get to me - but it really makes me sad that there are so many people willing to behave that way.

Welcome to the CB!!!

It is the nature of this board. I used to moderate it and it was WAY worse back then. Now it's like sunshine and light compared to how it USED to be.

I agree with the IGNORE feaure. I wish we could use it in real life!!! :lmao:

I know what you're saying. There's a difference in polite disagreement and in ridicule. Often the ridicule seems to imply that something must be wrong with you if you even feel the way you do. The Dis isn't as friendly a place as it used to be.

I know exactly what you mean. Let's go out for a cup of coffee and discuss ;);)

Hmm, I haven't been around much lately. Sounds like I didn't miss too much. Same old same old. Just smile and move on.

Someone started a thread a little while ago about how they are having a great year and on the first page some people had to turn it into a woe is me the sky is falling thread.

Some people just have to be the martyr. I call these people Negative Nellie. :):):):):):):):):):)

I think you and I have been reading the same threads because I was just thinking the same thing.
