We pronounce it Sat-an.

And yes.... we get alot of mispronunciation. But it goes with the spelling.


Looking back...I think my friend has her own issues. Maybe I'll show up at the salon and sit with her and chat

Perhaps people are pronouncing the name right and the true issue is the name is spelled wrong.

Back to the original question, no I don't think your friend was rude. If you wanted a pity party from her you should have told her how to react to your issues.
