We just back from a wonderful time at WDW. One day while in the lobby of the GF, I saw two little girls ages around 4 and 6 sitting in a chair. They wanted to see my pins, but said they couldn't trade until their father got there. Where's your father? He's still in the room. Foolishly I assumed there mother was in one of the stores. We went and sat down to enjoy the beautiful tree. A few minutes later the girls came over hesitantly. I thought they wanted to look at my pins again. They said they were lonely and a little scared and could they sit with us. Well, of course. The little one said that their mother and THROWN them out of their room and told them to wait in the lobby! Only thing is they weren't sure WHICH lobby she meant. The lobby in their GF building or the main one with the tree. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. We asked their room number but they didn't know it. So DH went to a CM to explain the situation after getting the girls last name. The CM was very kind and quickly said he would take care of everything. Just at that moment mommy dearest showed up and said the girls just got away from her. I wanted to smack her. Disney is probably one of the safest places for children, but tell them to wait in the lobby of a strange hotel?? What does this woman have for brains? I wanted so badly to tell her off, but I didn't want to scare the girls any more than they already were. I assume that since she had two younger girls that she just wanted some peace to get everyone out the door, but there could have been another solution than to throw the girls out the door!
OK, done venting.
