Some One Convince Me

I would definately say it is worth it. If for nothing else than to see all the little kids all dressed up in the costumes. The headless horseman ride and the parade are very good too. If you pick one of the earlier dates, the crowds are usually pretty lite. We walked onto every attraction and got to see almost every character (except for cinderella at her glass coach) without having to wait.

If you have a young one, I would say go for it...

Are people in costume during all the MNSSHP nights, not just the one that falls on October 31? Are the characters in costume?

Yes, people are in costume on the non-Oct. 31st nights, and yes, the characters are in costume -- at least in the parade. I can't remember if we saw any costumed characters besides in the parade.

MNSSHP was a highlight of our trip last year -- so much so that we planned our next trip for Oct. as well, so we can go again. DEFINITELY worth the admission price.

Definitely worth it! We took our kids to it this past October. They are only 3 and 1, so we didn't know if it would be worth it, but it was! There were no lines for the rides, which is great with little ones. Also, the kids loved wearing their costumes around the park. My 3 yo dd was especially excited to go on the Peter Pan ride since she and her brother were dressed as Tinker Bell and Peter Pan.

There's also a free family photo, which makes a great souvenir.

They also have trick-or treating, and there's a parade in which the Headless Horeseman (I believe that's the only time of year you can see him) makes an appearance.

We went last year and thought it was very worth it. What we did was use that day as a rest day....didn't use a day off hopper passes...and went to the party around 4:30, ate dinner at LTT, came out to a very spooky MK! We had a total blast. We went on Halloween night and the lines for rides weren't long at all! Only the lines for candy were longish....thankfully my DGD isn't a big candy eater. She just jumped in the candy lines that weren't too long. We mostly did rides, saw the parade, caught a couple "storytellers" and soaked up that awsome atmosphere!

Yes!! Went last year and will go again this year. Great fun and our two DD's (2 & 6) dressed up as Snow White and The Evil Queen .

The Parade is really good - we like the Villains.

Anyone Know when this years tickets go on sale ?

JOC, Yes, the characters are in costume all throughout the park, not only in the parade.

Also remember this is what disney calls a hard ticketed event. So, you can spend the day relaxing, going to the pool, resort hopping, doing a character breakfast at a resort. Then, go into the park just for MNSSHP. We did this last year for MVMCP and it worked out great. That way you are not spending $50 for the day and $30 for the evening. You are only spending the $30 for the day. Also, Check on the boards, the last several years you could get in early then during the hour between park closing and the start of the party the let you go into one of the lands.

I am one of the most tight-fisted people I know when it comes to spending money at Disney and I have to confess, it is something I would do again.

I have an annual pass and frankly I resent Disney closing the park to me just so they can charge others another $30 or so to line the coffer. I feel as if I paid for a whole day and they should give me a whole day, but that's a topic for another thread another day. :)

But I went ahead and went one time and I know I will go again.

Seeing all the people in costumes, getting to go trick or treating with my bucket just like the kids, was really really fun.

P.S. I went solo.
