Just looking at next August (not even been on this Augusts trip yet). 2 weeks from 16th August for 2 adults and 1 child staying at Homewood Suites Int Driv, coming up at £2900. I thought this was pretty goo considering August flight prices recently.
I think this is a good base for 1st timer who don't want to spend a fortune. We stayed here in 2005 for our first trip (this August will be our 8th) and we thought it was excellent if you really want to hit the parks. Great breakfast and managers reception 4 nights a week. I remember we were so exhausted that we hardly ate out because we just didn't have the energy. Breakfast and Managers reception saved us alot of time and money.
We take things at a far more relaxed pace now and usually stay in a 2 bed villa in Bonnet Creek and this August will be our 3rd stay at SSR on free dining. However we usually spend our first night at Homewood Suites.
Also some good villa deals. Still crazy prices I guess but considering Virgin flights are over £1000 at the moment for this August, Monarch seem quite competitive.
