Some of the new kids menu scans:

I wish I'd taken a photo of the posted menu in December. I can't find the current menu anywhere online. I remember that the menu is the new format, and it didn't include any adult types of food at all. IMHO it was all kiddie foods (e.g., mac and cheese, hot dog, grilled cheese, PB&J--but I forget which of those items were listed). My DS would have eaten the pasta (on the unofficial menus I've seen), but that was definitely gone from the menu.

I remember standing there feeling glad that we'd changed our ADR, because my DS would not have eaten anything on Cap'n Jack's menu!

Yikes! Time to scramble. This would be ok for lunch CS but not a good choice for us as a TS dinner. Thanks for responding.

Thanks to all the other posters! This is great. I've got all the menus for our trip.

So I understand the kids menu, if my son wants the pizza and the carrot sticks but instead of the apples with brown sugar can he sub it for ice-cream in it's place where it is available on the kids menu for no charge???? Was just showing them the menu and seeing if they'd eat anything and they both will except they want some bad things in there.:rotfl:

Looking at all these new menus shows me that all our favorite restaurants no longer offer DD's foods that she will eat. Hopefully now that I put a call into dining and had it noted on our ADRS that we can request her foods from the chef that it will all work out. DD only eats certain foods and hot dogs and grilled cheese are two of only a very few. I really don't want to stop eating at our favorites so this better work out! LOL!
Edited to add that I just noticed the NEWer menus on this thread for two of our favorite places. They now have brought the hot dog back! At 50s Prime Time in October they had the new test menu and we were not able to get the hot dog for DD. At Kona's they have also brought back the hot dog. Now if they would only offer hot dog or grilled cheese at the WCC I won't have to special request it from the chef.

So, let me get this straight. Even if your kids don't have an allergies to certain foods and are just picky eater, the chefs at the ts restaurants will make what they want as long as it is noted on your adr when you make your reservations.

Is that correct?

I hope so. I was really getting worried reading all of these menus. My son refuses to eat pizza now, rarely will eat chicken and hates hot dogs.

He only likes grilled cheese or pasta with butter for lunch or dinner.

I was afraid we would only be able to do breakfast adrs since breakfast is his favorite meal of the day...french toast, waffles and pancakes....his favorite meals.

So, when I make my r essies in June, I just tell the reservationist that my son will only eat grilled cheese or pasta with butter and the chef will do that for him?

Thanks
Trentmom

I don't know if it is only for picky eaters. DD's problems goes further then just being a picky eater. She has texture issues. She really does eat only a very few things. Unlike my older two kids that ate everything and at least tried new foods, DD would rather starve for days then go near a food that she doesn't like. DD does eat more breakfast foods then dinner foods too. We make sure to have plenty of ADRs for breakfast but still need dinner. I am hoping by adding to talk to the chef at meals, due to her issue, that we will be able to get her food she will eat.

Thanks Daisy.

Just out of curiousity, is the texture issue a medical problem? My son will not eat anything that is not familiar to him and is past the age where we can trick him into trying something new.

He won't put anything into his mouth that he has not tried before. Just to give you an example, he won't try jelly, peanut butter, beef, fruit, etc.....I really hope he grows out of this..

Thanks
Trentmom

Trentmom,
Trouble with textures could be the sign of a disability especially if it is in conjunction with other sensory difficulties such as problems with certain sounds, feel of clothes, not wanting to touch certain things or seeking touch such as bear hugs and bumping into things, or gagging over certain smells etc. You could search for info. on sensory integration dysfunction if you wanted more info. Or, you could just have a picky eater who will out grow it. You didn't mention how old your son is, did you?
Just so people don't think I am hijacking this thread, we are planning a trip for August and DS8 likes the look of the new kids table service menus but is already making a list of CS places that he wants to avoid.

Thanks Smallworld.

I was just curious about texture troubles. After reading everything you said, my ds falls into none of those categories.

He is 3 yrs old and after reading all of this, he appears to just be a picky eater.

He wears whatever, no smell troubles, no gagging, not into stuffed animals too much......just pickey when it comes to food.

He seems to go through phrases...For about 6 months, it was mac n cheese, another 4 months or so pizza, then spaghetti os, and so on. The one thing we can count on, his love for breakfast foods, such as french toast and waffles had never wavered.

Thanks again
Trentmom

My DD has sound problems when she was little. Any noise even a little high would freak her out and she would run and hide. She outgrew that. She does gag and will vomit at certain smells. That is the only other problems she has with her Sensory disorder. She has been slowly growing out of it and is actually trying some new things. Believe it or not she tried hot chocolate for the first time yesterday and loved it! She has fought me for years with it and finally gave it a try. Now we are going to try chicken again!

Trentmom,
Sounds like you just have a particular child. Which I think is more common than a not particular one.:rotfl2: DD4 changes her mind constantly. For example, many days she won't eat meat but yesterday she chowed down 2 bowls of homemade turkey soup.:confused3 DS11 has showed us that consistency will come with age.:thumbsup2

LOL SmallWorld....:rotfl: :rotfl:

Thanks for the input and letting me know there is hope for my DS growing out of this....pirate:

My girls where like this,DD8 still is to some extent but with patence they are growing out of it.DD13 will eat a lot more things now and is willing to try more things.Still not keen on veg!
I usually just give then a little of something on the side when it is new and tell them to just try it and its fine if they dont, usually DD13 will try it but DD8 is less willing and the more fuss we make the more she refuses.
British kids dont usually have mac and cheese,pb&j or grilled cheese as a choice in resurants over here so I cant see them eating them :) Do you guys really put jam and pb on the same sandwhich :confused3 :-)And your baked beans arent like ours.....you see my problem LOL

If anyone can post a Beaches and Cream menu, I would so appreciate it! I will return the favor by bringing back menu info when we go in March!:thumbsup2

The menus look great - I'm sure my kids will love them :)

Report: no pb/jelly sandwiches or mac&cheese in Norway either. (I did try pb/jelly when I lived in Florida though but I don't relly like pb. Jelly is jummy though!!) And I looooove your mac & cheese :)

They don't let you take the menus with them and the kids is not separate. So if anyone has one they liberated it. I would think the allears menu is right for them. We were there in Jan and it didn't change at all from our past 7 trips.

I forget what they have for sure. My kids always get the mini cheeseburger/ hamburgers. They come with fries or fruit. I think it is 4.99 or something like that. I think they have hot dogs and grilled cheese too.

We love B&C eat there every trip if we can. We will be at BWV in just over a week, but not sure if we will make it to B&C since we are on the dining plan and don't want to use a CS credit for it. Maybe just Ice Cream. :thumbsup2

Added, I found the link to the allears menu

Thanks PhD. I saw that menu, but then someone told me they thought it had changed to the now 'standard' kid's menu offerings. :scared1: My kids all love burgers, hot dogs and grilled cheese, and would be happy with any of those choices with fruit or fries. I think we are going to use a TS credit for it, because DH and I will be out of credits, but the boys will still have one. Dh and I can split a big burger and onion rings and just pay OOP while the boys use their credit. :cheer2:
