right, we are now into less than 2 months til dlrp!!!!!!!!!:jumping1:
so, im now trying to decide on meals and sum sort of 'loose' schedule of things we MUST see/do!

firstly, the character meet n greets! i think ive decided on cafe mickey at a lunch time - 12pm, now, this will be our last day, and we will have to get to eurotunnel..... so, how long does a meal averagely take, so what sort of time could we expect to leave (and then i can add on travel time of say... 4hrs? from dlrp to tunnel - and then book the tunnel trip lol)
then, the meet n greet times that are show in the leaflet.... r the characters there the whole time mentioned, or do they come and go throughout the time slot?? (eg mickey meet 10.15 - 12.15 - is he there the whole 2 hrs?)

we have 3 days there, but will only really get 2 full days, so am trying to fit in some meets each day (the meal wud be on a day with no park pass).... ds has given a list of who he wants to see - ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo pooh::tigger: :eeyore: :goofy: :sulley: & cinderella& snow white (doesnt want much lol)

also, seeing in the news that the pound isnt great against the euro, am wondering about the half board meal plan (the basic one)....now, i know u have to pay for every member of the party for each night ur there (3 nights) now, ds2 is under 3, so, do we have to get the meal plan for him too, or not, cos it usually says 3 upwards!! also, the hotels included, r they any good?? lol i know from reports that annettes is, but r the meal plan menus good too?? (will go check out what is on them in a bit lol)

we will also try and fit in the lion king, will poss use the hyperion for a bite to eat, rather than in the theatre, as not sure what attention spans of kids will be like

any other things i should add in, other than the parade and candelabration (hopin to get to see that the night we arrive too - so 3 times lol) and any pointers as best place to stand for candelabration?? there is a list of places to stand for certain floats to stop next to u on dlrpmagic i think, so will go with that (unless u experts know diff???)

thanks in advance, and sorry its so long, was trying to remember everthing in one go pmsl - btw, we r stayin at the cheyanne - guess i shud put sumthin in my sig?? :rotfl:

If you left an hour and a half for lunch that would be loads of time. an hour should be enough as long as you don't have too many courses! :goodvibes
You will certainly see Mickey in Cafe Mickey, and possibly Pluto too out of your list, maybe Minnie, Tigger or Eeyore. Winnie the Pooh has a meet n' greet spot (always a queue), and Minnie and Sully have one in the Studios. You should hopefully see the Princesses in the parade, or you could hope to see one of them you want in the Meet n' Greet but there's only one at a time and always a big queue. I imagine if you only have 2 full days you don't want to spend it all queuing for characters.
We used the half board plan and definitely saved money. Didn't eat in the hotels though so I can't help you there, sorry.

thanks for that! of course, i forget we could see some good characters at cafe mickey on our last day (finish on a high!) is mickey ALWAYS there?? and i wudnt have thought we wud be havin loads of courses to eat, prob just main and desert (or maybe 2 deserts for me:rotfl: ) so nice to know the meal shudt take too long.... might even persuade dh to go back to hotel, load up, bring the car to the car park (which wud be the best one to bring the car to?? a hotel one or main one??) and pick us up there, and we can do some shopping..... in fact, the more i think bout it, the better it seems!!!

really need to get eurotunnel sorted and booked, otherwise we will be swimming over!!!

It will take about 3 hours to drive from DLP to Euro tunnel but might be best to give your self a bit longer if its the first time.

One way to get ahead of the queues for Winnie the Pooh or Princess meet and greets is to go in for EMH and then queue just before they let the main guests in as the meet and greet area is behind the rope where other guests are not allowed during EMH. We did this and it worked well - there was still a queue as other people had had the same idea but not as long as there was after 10.00 when all guests were in.

The queues to see the characters is often shorter in the studios as well if you are planning to visit that park as well

thanks for that!! I have 'factored' in 3 1/2 hrs for the drive, well, at least on the way back :rotfl: on the way there i wanna get there asap!! (have now booked 8.20am eurotunnel!!)
that is good to know about winnie & princess meet, as we will do our hardest to use emh, as boys are small fantasyland will be a good 'start' to get them used to the rides and everything..... just hope that one of the days is cinderella, as i have now been informed 'shes my favourite!'
thanks again!!:cloud9:

The Princesses change about every 20 minutes so you may get to the front and see a different Princess to the one you have queued to meet so it might be worth warning your children about this. You can always say that Cinderella has sent her friend to say hi instead.

aha then!! never realised they wud change!!! good plan tho, to say her friend has come to say hi, tbh, he will prob go all shy and not say anything
gettin all excited, and still 2 months to go!! how will i cope??
