Breaking Disney World News!!!
-- Hunchback to perform last show September 28!
-- The new Princess Storybook Breakfast at Norway made permanent.
-- Beginning October 1: "Extra Magic Hour" -- one theme park will open an hour early every day to resort guests; Character Caravan will be discontinued; Beauty and the Beast show reverts to daily schedule...

Yes, could it mean EE is back? Yes, in a smaller form but back!

I never liked the Character Caravan..

Sad on the Hunchback news though... I have also seen a rumor on the rumors board that Tarzan *MAY* go as well..

Very Cool!!! I've never seen the Hunchback show but I love B&B!

i love EE! i hope that's a permanent change! :teeth:

I always liked Hunchback better than B&tB (the show that is). Bummer...

EE back? Be still my little heart. Figures they'd do it now when I can't afford to go back.

I also heard ee was coming back. That is so cool. I love EE, and hated the character caravan. I never went to EE to see characters. That was like exchanging a sweater for a hamburger. Both are good, but one can't replace the other. Too bad about Hunchback, I really liked that show. I don't care much for Tarzan, so it wouldn't bother me that much to see it go. I'm glad B&B will have a daily schedule. I never got to see it last week because every day we were there, it didn't show. It's one of my favorite shows at WDW.

Can anyone tell me what the new Princess Storybook Breakfast at Norway is and what characters are there? Is this like CRT?

Thanks this is some fun news.

Cindy,
I am not sure what you mean by "in a smaller form." Isn't opening one park an hour earlier to resort guests exactly what EE was?

It makes me very sad about Hunchback. :( I always felt that the quality of the acting and production of that show were above that of Beauty and the Beast.

I thought it an hour also, though I never used it. Good news for many. I always heard that Hunchback was the best acted, though I never was able to sit through an entire presentation, LOL, too antsy I guess. :)

Did you notice the nice face lift Deb gave her site? It was easy to navigate before for all the good info, even more so now.

That's good news to hear! I must admit to not using EE very often (I'm a late sleeper, LOL!), but I always enjoyed how it helped reduce crowds at the other parks. :) I'm glad to hear that the storybook princess breakfast has gone well also.

how exciting! I love EE, not because I actually get up in time for it, but because then I can go to the other parks and they will be less crowded ;-)

I'm sad about Hunchback, though! I was planning on finally seeing it this trip, there goes that idea! I wonder what they will replace it with? Maybe an ode to the DIS! Yes, yes, it will be replaced with a 71' chalk circle....

:bounce: :Pinkbounc Yippee on EE! Character Caravan I guess did NOT do so well??

WOO HOOOO!!!!! EE is comin back!!! Can't wait to tell dh and kids!! Now those Christmas crowds don't look quite so bad!!!:teeth: Thanks for the great news!!!

WOW, keep me posted...

Now if we can get consistent E-NITEs we will be in business!!!

:D

Yes!! I about jumped through the computer when I read this!! I called my sister immediately who is going to be at Disney the first week of Oct!!:bounce: I wonder since Hunchback is closing, what show they will replace it with?!! I always thought the music to Lili& Stitch would make a great show! :p

Somehow I thought it was the EE was over an hour.. we were one of those people that were the first in line, so it always FELT like over an hour...

I thought it was an hour and a half but I could be wrong.. we got so much done, it always felt like more.

(We are very early risers, so we used it every day!)

I will be VERY sad to see Hunchback go!:( I think it is the best production type show in all of WDW! Not too fond of the Tarzan one.

I LOOOOOOVE Hunchback. Actually, I saw it before the movie, and that probably had something to do with my liking the movie so much. I got chills every time I watched it (the live show). I thought... gee, extend this to the full story line and put it in a nice indoor theater, and I'd pay $50 just to see this show! With that and Legend of the Lion King gone.... WAAAAAAAAAAH!!! They had better not take away Festival of the Lion King for a looooooong time. I hope they fill that theater with something good, not some kiddie show.

Now what is character caravan? I thought that was where the characters come out on the bus at Epcot, or is that Character Carnival? But the way you guys talk about it, it sounds like it has to do with EE??

Hunchback show rules. I hate to see it go. That's amazing that EE is coming back (the old EE it was officially one hour but they would usually open the parks about 30 minutes prior to the posted EE times).

We don't use EE, but I'm glad it is back for others.
I love HB!!! :(
Tarzan...no loss there.

It was also reported on RADP that (as well as the above mentioned items):

"Hoop Dee Doo and the Luau will be revising there hours and
Tapestry is going away as well. Of course everething is subject to
change at a moments notice. So stay tuned."

and:
"Word has it that FedEx is dropping sponsorship of Space Mountain" and also "AT&T is also pulling out."
