I've been getting some quotes from some if the holiday companies I've seen mentioned on here and this is what I've got.

24/10/2015
Wilderness Lodge
14 nights
2ad 2ch 4&12
DDP
14 day tickets
Ex Manchester for packaged holiday.

Disney direct for hotel only, DDP and tickets £4216 (would like flights for £3000or less!)

Virgin holidays package £7820

Kenwood travel package £8274

Ocean Florida £9693!!

Now I had a bit of an argument with Ocean Florida, the guy who rang me said 'so you want to upgrade the dining plan?' No I said, it comes with free DDP.
No he said, it comes with QSDP and I would need to upgrade to DDP.
No I said it's the Wilderness lodge, it comes with free DDP.
No he said again.
Just leave it then I said!

So he calls me back 5 mins later and says he will email me the quote and what he was trying to inform me was that the wilderness lodge has been downgraded to QSDP!
I said he was mistaken (does he not know I'm a disney freak and know everything!!)
I said every other tour op and disney themselves had the WL as free DDP, he then continued to argue that it was a recent change and for 2015 WL will only offer free QSDP and that Disney must not have updated their system yet!!!!!
Now am I missing something here, does he know more than disney, are his systems more updated than disney?!?!

Needless to say, his quote went in the bin! I do not know what he did, maybe he was mixing his dining plans up and quoted me Deluxe DDP? But for him to specifically say it came with QSDP I think not, I even said, it's the WL not FWCabins.

So I think I will wait and book flight separately, still think it will work out cheaper.

They are definitely an array of interesting prices:lmao:

Hope you get the price you want eventually-and with the correct dining plan!;)

Those prices make me want to cry!

I've been pricing up for next year too, but the only August charter flights that are released are £1,200 pp... With 2 adults and 4 kids, that's never going to happen.

As it's more likely that pigs will fly past my window than flights coming in at £500pp, I think the trip will be shelved until we win the lottery...

I made the mistake of contacting Ocean Florida for a quote.

Keep getting pestered now. Emails with capital letters about the AMAZING OFFER I'm missing out on.

I asked if I'd get the $200 gift card like with WDTC and was told - and I quote: "... we don't OFFER the $200 gift card but depends if you really want to but loads of GOOFY's"
(Assume she meant "buy loads of" but thought I'd leave the typo so you get the full effect.)

Ummm yes. $200 is worth having for free. And what is she implying? That I can only spend the $200 on soft toys? Rude, uneducated, useless company.

sadly I bet there are lots of people that unwittingly go with them or they wouldn't still be in business:confused3 Outrageous prices quoted..:scared1:

Just had Florida for less on the phone and they were £8600.

Can't believe virgin are the cheapest so far, will check TCD and see what they have.

Wow. TCD £8222, always thought they were cheaper than virgin!!

Although VH have never been able to come close to other quotes I've had, the do sometimes have good deals. The moral of the story in here is that you don't know until you check. There are no hard and fast rules, although there certainly are common trends which allow us to make educated guesses.

Personally, I'd go with Disney. There are threads on here every week about people having frustrations and problems with third party agent bookings.

Over on a UK forum, people have been getting a great price from
Travel Service Florida, with a guy named Andy. Also if you quote
that forum (I hope you know which one I mean) you get a extra discount.

Having said that, I booked through WDTC for 2015. I will buy flights separately.
I have been watching this August flights for a jump on next year and you
can differently do it for £500, if you go indirect. We are going the last bit of Aug next year and Virgin started a sale April 24 that included the dates we want to go. So I hope to do that next year, if I am brave enough to wait.
