Some info om Loews card

I am Loews Gold at the minute, i am staying at RPR in July then switching to PBH, my stay at RPR will move me up to platinium, i have a room booked at PBH on APH rate, Do you think if i called them they would give me Platinium status even though i would not have the card ,or would it not be on their system yet.

You don't get any benefits for APH rate. They won't give you a better room if you are using that rate. You also won't get any qualifying stays added to your card (usually...sometimes they mess up and you get them anyways).

Is your RPR stay using APH as well?

Hi Damo, no my RPR stay is TripleA so i know i will change to be Platinum, i have now booked to stay at PBH after 12 days at RPR ,i booked the PBH on the APH and paid 1 nights deposit, as i will not have any thing to say i am platinum would they be able to check my stay and award me platinum, if they would i would change the booking to Triple A

Hmmm. You should call Loews First and ask them. It is a good question.

the RPR stay should count....it is a separate checkin and checkout at totally different hotel. if you BOOK as APH, it goes into the system as AP rate. if you book AAA rate, it goes into the system as AAA rate. if you book AAA and then switch it later to AP rate, they still may qualify it cuz it was switched and not originally put into the system as AP rate....that's what happened to us in Feb. Reserved at AAA, switched to AP still got gift!

I think he wants to know if his first week of vacation at RPH will be in the system fast enough that he can use the platinum status (which he won't have until after RPH) for his PBH stay for the second week of vacation and give him a good reason to switch from his APH rate to AAA for his PBH stay.

Thats it Damo, tried Loews First C/S but was left on hold for over 20 mins, so called Loews Res he put me through to Universal and left on hold again, so getting number for the hotel directly and will ask them

Got through to a women on reservations, who went and checked with her manager, they cannot make the booking on Platinium until after the stay is completed at RPR, i can make the booking on Loews gold at AAA rate now, but on day of checkin no guarantee of an upgrade on platinum.
On day of check out at RPR, if i call reservations and see if AAA rates are available with Platinum upgrade they will be able to make the booking, so i am staying on APH at the minute until i checkout of RPR, .

rpbert, that happened to me last year.

i should have been platinum but was told when i called it will be recalculated after my stay.

i left UO on oct 10th and on Nov. 1st received my platinum card in the mail. same thing happened to me when i moved from blue to gold.

on the 2nd night i techincally moved up a color but had to get the card mailed to me when it was in loews system


they will not bump you up on another card when you switch hotels.
it has to be processed in the system before you get bumped up to the next level. it must take about 2 weeks for this process as that was about the time it took me to recieve the p card.


your numbers stay the same when you move up the color code with loews.
but, you won't be in the system as platinum until that is completed on loews end.
