From March 3rd through 7th, my family and I stayed at the Villas at Wilderness Lodge Resort. On march 7th, our last day, as we walked the bike trail, we found out that my wife's mom had passed away earlier that morning from a blood clot to her lungs. Mom was 46.:(
My wife was barely standing as she spoke to her brother on the cell phone. A family had been passing the other way and heard and saw what happened. A very nice lady named Ellen, who was walking her 3 children and her niece, helped my wife, myself, and 2 small children back to WL. All I remember about Ellen was that she said she was a new DVC member, was with family, from the New Haven, CT area, and was staying in a studio room at the villas. I strongly wished to call the hotel on Friday or Saturday (she had mentioned she was leaving sunday March 10th) to send flowers to her for her kindness to my wife and I during this difficult time, but was unable to do much of anything upon returning home except help take care of all the details required in this situation.
If anyone knows who I am refering to, I would greatly appreciate the chance to thank her for her help and kindness on that day.

Thank You.
Bob, Julie, Nicole, & Ethan.

I don't know who that was but I did want to say I'm so sorry for your sudden loss.
My thoughts are with you and your family---I hope you can locate the kind person who assisted you both.

I would try calling the manager at the hotel and explaining your situation. While confidentiality may not permit the manager to give you a name or contact information, the manager may be able to contact the family and let them know you want to get in contact with the woman to thank her. The manager can then give the family your information to contact you.

Just a thought.

I'm so sorry for your family's loss. Don't know Ellen, so can't help you there.

Maybe you can call the sales office of DVC. Don't know if you are members or not - but probably best if you go through your sales rep (even if you only have one 'cause you were looking into DVC.) They might not be able to disclose any personal information to you but if they can track her down from your description, they can either pass along your message or have her contact you. Don't know if this is possible but worth a shot.

Hope your wife and family are coping better. God bless you all through this difficult time.

So sorry to hear about this. Best wishes finding her.

My condolences on such a sudden loss. But, thank you for sharing the story of such a kind person. It is heartwarming to know there are still people out there willing to lend a hand to a stranger in need. I hope you find her to thank her but, if not, your thanks could be to do a similar kindness when the occasion comes up.
