Some general play questions

I know these answers are around somewhere, but I'm just not coming across them.

1. How do you combine pins and what happens when you do?
2. Has anyone learned yet how to get the ring of fire pin?
3. I've seen the list of "stuff" to buy, but does anyone know which things actually allow you to do something with it? Which have some element of activity to it? I know most of the lamps do and the campfire, the water cooler. What else?
4. I'm not wanting to copy, but just wanting to understand. I think it's pebbles who has the sky tower ride. How did she do that? How did she make it so that when you click on a chair, you wind up at the top of the crate? Maybe no one wants to give away secrets, and I would understand. Maybe it's not a secret, and I'm just lost.

Well, Mal's Players Guide that is stickied at the top of the thread is a great place to start!
But to answer your questions:
1. To combine a pin, you must take two pins "off". They also must be the same type of magic. For instance, you can combine two fireworks pins, but not a fireworks pin and storm pin. When you have the pins off, click combine on one pin and then click the magic pin to combine it with (same type remember!). Then the two pins become one and you wear it. Now on the pin you will see two stars. This means that you have combined two pins together. Every time you combine another one, you get another star. You can combine up to 5 magic pins I believe. The more stars you have, the longer your magic will last! Also, remember that once you combine two pins, you can un take them apart! Make sure you will not want trade away one of those pins!
2. Inferno Magic has only been given away as special gifts or prizes as far as I know.
3. Wow, great question! So far, you can either turn on/off lamps, fire, wall lights, ect. Madame Leota's light turns on and off. And you can also eat "coins" out of the penny machines ytou buy at the Emporium.
4. I don't think it is a secret, but just the way the game works. You can stack crate upon crate and create a tower. By adding a chair at the top of it, your character is then able to sit in that chair.
This is also fun to do if you want to create a dance floor (put 4 crates together and add a rug on top to dance on) and to dance on tables (place a chair on top of a table, click to sit in the chair, and then remove the chair and dance!).
