Some exciting new Disney news today!

I didn't see this posted already, so I'l break it. We got the new Disney catalog today and there are three NEW snow globes, just in time for the fall and holiday season! They reflect a good range of characters, too. Here are some details-

1. Pooh Huffalumps and Woozles snoglobe - that silly old bear sees his worst nightmare come to life! When you wind it up Pooh spins around trying to save his honey, but strangely it plays "winnie the pooh" theme song and not "Huffalumps and Woozles" Still a real cutie. $58

2. Prince Phillip and the Dragon - this impressive snowglobe depicts the prince's battle with Malificent - released just in time to celebrate the debut of Sleeping Beauty on dvd - and it actually looks like the snow globe is in in cinemascope! $98

3. Donald's Mad Tea Party - Huey, Duey and Loue are having Mad Tea Party of a time, but Uncle Donald's really mad - as usual! It looks like Horace Horsecollar is manning the ticket booth for the Tea Cup attraction, and it says that if you turn the globe over you can hear Donald's theme song....who has the sweetest disposition? One guess, guess who....$58

These three join four other currently available snow globes - the very, very cool Finding Nemo fish tank, the princesses and the adventurers (complementing those two product lines) and the Lion King Pride Rock snow globe, celebrating the release of the Lion King on DVD.

So, ahhh, what's wrong with snowglobes?

Right now, I'm looking at my beautiful Villians snowglobe, and when I turn the key and hear the music, I'm transported into NeverNever Land.

As Emeril says, it's a beautiful thing.

The funny thing is, when I think snowglobes, I think Pixar. Not because they sell them, but because of Knickknack, that wonderful short Pixar did years ago featuring a snowman trapped in a snowglobe and trying to get out. It was better than anything Disney has ever done with a snowglobe.

The shock of picturing a broken Disney snow globe must have been tramatic...Sorry to put you all through that...

Thank goodness the exciting news wasn't 5 new E-ticket attractions.

For any of you who ARE actually interested, the Donald one is available in the Disney Store, along with a nice one of SW & Dopey at the wishing well, and Mickey's 75th Anniv.

Ours came in on Tuesday.

JeffH....I thought it was funny! But I've been accused of having an odd sense of humor.

I have, in fact, broken a snow globe (accidentally)....did you know they are made to draw as much blood as possible when contact is made with the broken glass? And this was one of the little ones!

Darn, you know, they really should remove the snow globes from all the stores in the parks....they could be used for terrorism!
