We booked our trip in June for Christmas this year, and although we are all massively excited to go I am not feeling the planning this year :confused3

I have booked ADR's and fastpass + Well half of them :rotfl2:

We have so much going on I forget we are going, and we leave in about 40 days ish - That's how bad it is no daily countdown!!!

I feel like I have forgotton something lol!

Am looking for some inspiration to get be back into planning mode before its too late x

Thanks

We go in 5 weeks and I am not planning everyday - will go with the flow and just enjoy the Christmas atmosphere. We need the break and will just relax and do what we want :)

YouTube. I love searching YouTube watching our favourite parades, shows, rides etc. or Phil Emma and Ben

Podcast

Disney food blog alone is enough to get me excited. We definitely won't have any snack credits left on this trip.

Kennythepirate I love his site he is great with updates from around the parks especially character information.

Pinterest.

Trip reports.

I know what you mean though as just before a trip the normal life tends to get in the way and over shadow the planning.

This is what its like with us. I have made the important ADR's CRT, Be our guest, character meals etc

I normally have a spreadsheet al filled out with drop down menus and everything. Not this time :rotfl2:

This is definitely going to be a go with the flow, whether Hubby and the In laws like it or not

I hear you. When we go next August, I won't have been for almost 8 years but it was personal stuff stopped me from going, not Disney. :) And I feel like bad reminders of my last trip are preventing me from getting enthused about planning.

But you will still have a wonderful trip if you don't plan everything. We went just before Christmas once and I didn't have time to plan a lot as I was so busy with work, but it was still awesome once we got there. You've already had some good suggestions. Why not Google some pics of the Christmas decorations in WDW, and ideas for Christmassy things to do while you're there?

We go next werk and i feel very unprepared, first time ever ive felt like this going.

I'm not even that excited :sad1: let alone enthusiastic
We booked our trip in January, as soon as flights were released and was excited then, but this trip has, for various reasons, become a trip of many compromises. It now bears scant resemblance to the trip we had originally planned.
Now, with all the stress about FP+ (we're offsite so not able to access these) and worries about the weather, I'm almost at the point of wishing we hadn't bothered

You leave 3 days before us, and we are on I drive for the first 8 days. At least we can be unenthusiastic together :thumbsup2

OK. I understand but a little perspective. So it's not what you planned, in the scheme of things, you are still going to the land of the mouse - you are lucky! Keep telling yourself that and gradually you will get back in the mindset! We don't stay on site either so have no magic bands, but we'll get over it. And there is nothing at all you can do about the weather so don't worry about that. You know that you will have a wonderful time, just relax. We are off in 2 1/2 weeks and it has kind of snuck up on me too. But I kind of like that.

Please don't let stuff get in the way of your enjoyment. It sounds like you need this holiday.

We're going in 39 days... and my enthusiasm waned a little between booking the flight in January and say August... but now its sky high again!

We're also offsite, and dont have fp+, but honestly? A cold day in Disney (which I did in 2010 - coldest winter in 21 years!) is still qay better than a rubbish day here... its Xmas in Disney!!
Xx

I feel like that every time.
We fly next Monday and I still don't feel like I am going yet! Everything has been sorted just got to pack. Even that has just been left, normally I have it all out on the spare bed ready. So no excitement in this house either at the moment. I am getting more excited at all the Christmas adverts on TV:rotfl:
My excitement will kick in on Friday afternoon when I leave work, I HOPE!

We've been a few times before and hadn't really planned to go again. It was originally planned as a trip to avoid Christmas, I'm not quite sure how we ended up going to WDW but I'll definitely avoid the normal stresses of Christmas at home, even if I can't avoid Christmas entirely.
I don't really care what the weather is like when we get there, it's the prospect of bad weather here and flights being cancelled that has me totally stressed out at the moment.
I'm sure I'll be fine once we get there (if we get there)

Oh sweetheart, I'm sure you'll get there. I understand now about the weather worries. Just hope for the best.

Sarah if this is the case you will probably have your best trip ever. I think trips can be over planned and the trip booked around meals. We have all done it but our last trip was more relaxed and despite getting a chest infection the last 4 days it was nice to go with the flow as they say.
