Some confusion about booking on website.

Hi

I'm trying to research the APH rate at the HRH from November 10th thru 12th. When I type in the APH code, I do get rate specials that come up. The first section of rates is $242 for a garden room for both nights. The rate below it has the same info but has an * and when I click on that one it gives a very discounted rate for the second night (Sunday). There is no explanation why one rate is cheaper for the same code displayed on the same page. When I just called Universal, she told me the only discounted APH rate was for $242. Is anyone familiar with booking on their website and know why I'd be getting these such conflicting rates for the same code displayed on the same page. Now I'm leary to book it if it's not right.

I'm not really following, but I'm guessing it's either a blackout date OR has something to do with the 10th being a Saturday (higher rate?) and the other days Sun. & Mon. (cheaper rates?) Think that is why? :confused3

Yes, I'm not really following myself either. There are two rates that come up APH rates, and they are different amounts for the same night and the same code on the same page. The second set of rates being cheaper with an * next to it. But, when I search for *fine print, there is none. Also, when I call, they don't show the cheaper rate. I guess I'll just book it and print it to prove that was the rate listed. Sorry for the confusion, it's hard to explain without seeing it visually.

That seems to happen quite a bit. Just book the cheaper one.

When we booked our trip this year we encountered the same thing and when I called them they gave me another rate that was even higher than the ones found on line. She could not explain the different rates, so I thanked and informed her I would book the low rate on line.

That has happened to us numerous times. It seems that when Loews lowers the AP rate, they often put it at the bottom of the list, with the old AP rates still on the top. It is as if they "forget" to remove the old rates from the list when they add the newer, lower rate.

I have learned to ALWAYS scroll down the whole page because there are often AP or Super Saver or some other rate that is the same name/code, but lower.

I have always booked the lower rate and my confirmation has always come back with the lower rate.

Although I always print out my e-mail confirmation and bring it with me. I have had to prove my lower rate on two occasions and the printed e-mail confirmation was all I needed to prove it.

Has anyone tried to book two rooms online for the Portofino bay Hotel?
I tried to but it won't give me the option to book two rooms.

It does say how many rooms do you want but you can't change the one to a two.

Can anyone help?
Thanks
