Some basic questions about the Fantasy, compared to the Magic

I realize I am years late to this party, but we are planning our first trip on the Fantasy after a dozen or so on the Magic. I am hoping some of you Fantasy experts can provide some basic info about the ship.

Initially, I am wondering about an equivalent of the Magic's soft-drink station. Is there one on the Fantasy, and if so, where? Does it work similarly to the Magic's? Also, what about food options for breakfast and lunch?

Also, I assume there is an adult only pool and lounge area -- trying to decide whether to spring for a veranda or just use public spaces for lounging/reading. The cost of the veranda cabin is not much more than an inside cabin, but the selection of veranda cabins that are left for our cruise are all way forward. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Yes there's a drink station. It's on 11 right outside Cabanas. Breakfast and lunch can be had at Cababas, one sit down restaurant, or via room service. There are quick service restaurants by the pool for lunch.

Cove Cafe, within the adult area, also has different food abd treats throughout the day. These are replicated in Vista Cafe on deck 4.

The Fantasy has an adult pool as well as satellite falls. Like the Magic, there is an adult bar area too.

The Fantasy is fun! Enjoy!

1) there are 2 soft drink stations (1 on each side) near the pool on deck 11 sort of mid to mid aft
they have the same drinks (Coca Cola products, etc)

2) the adult pool is very shallow BUT has a bar so that's good news for some; there is also a jacuzzi in the adult area
there is also Satellite Falls which is nice for adults as well

both of these areas are quite forward on deck 11 (pool/jacuzzi) and 12 (satellite falls)

---I'm quite partial to a verandah but others have different opinions.

Have a great cruise :)

The adult pool area itself is the only thing on the Fantasy that I did not like very much. It is very closed in and does not have the same airy feeling the adult pool on the Magic has. I did not enjoy lounging there very much. BUT if you want a place to sit with a view of the ocean, the Sattelite Falls area is perfect for that and it is adult only as well. We had a verandah on our Fantasy cruise (my first and only verandah cruise so far) and I found myself hanging out in the public spaces all the time, just like I had done on the Wonder and Magic. Besides the adult pool area and Satellite Falls, I also love the deck chairs on deck 4. These are always great, but since the deck is wider on the Fantasy, I think they are a bit nicer on the Magic, but not much.

I love forward rooms as they are close to the adult pool area and the theater and the shops, all areas that we tend to visit regularly. We stayed in 9022 on the Fantasy and loved that location. The distance between midship elevators and forward elevators is really not that far. I think the additional length between Magic and Fantasy was added in the area between midship elevators and aft elevators. So, everything midship is still fairly close. Aft tends to be a bit far away, but not horribly.

Also, the drink stations on the Fantasy are not all the way to the back as they are on the Magic, where they are at the entrance to Cabanas. Those on the Fantasy are more close to midship. They kind of are close to where all the fast food outlets are, which are around the midship elevators. I remember that I thought this was a really smart set-up and more convenient than on the classic ships.

Breakfast is available at Cabanas, Royal Court (sit-down) and Enchanted Garden (seated with beverage service and a buffet). Not sure if Enchanted Garden is an option on all days or perhaps just sea days? We enjoy RoyalCourt.

Royal Court is open for lunch on all but day of embarkation and Castaway Cay day.

Happy sailing. :boat:
