Some amazing news regarding my Dad

I just wanted to share some news regarding my Dad.

The St Cloid Police visited my Mom today letting her know thta they have retested David Lanier's blood and they have found that he was definitely impaired. His blood showed.large amounts of cocaine.

This is setting a precedent in Florida in that the police have convinced the State Attorney to re-open the case.

David Lanier has a warrant out for his arrest for vehicular manslaughter for killing my Dad. He will stand trial and there is a possibility of his going to prison if convicted.

I want to thank all of the folks who have offered support and who have written letters on our behalf.

Great news Kevin! It still bothers me that someone who takes a life while impaired during driving gets such limited jail time compared to someone who does so with a gun or something else. My Aunt was killed by a drunk driver and he only did a few years. But I'm glad they've decided to reopen the case. That's terrific news!!

Kevin, I am so glad it looks like the justice system will work in this case. I hope they are able to prosecute him and get a conviction. Impaired is impaired. It doesn't matter what substance it doing the impairment.

Kevin, I'm hoping that your this helps the healing process with your family. I couldn't imagine how horrible it is to lose your father in such a manner and then think the man was going to get away with it. My thoughts are with you and your family.
