Solos, do you like being alone?

Thanks for all of the replys. I'm glad to see I'm not the only person out there who feels this way.

Like many of you I've never felt lonely. :confused3 I grew up with a big family in a small house. The house only had 3 bedrooms, 1 bath and was about 1350 SF. There were 6(later 7) of us all sharing that house and privacy/alone time was very prescious to me. I guess I've overcompensated and now I still enjoy evey moment of being alone.

I do talk to people at WDW though. I'll happily start up conversations while waiting inline, for parades, for fireworks, etc... One of my favorite meals on my last trip was at the Beirgarten where I introduced myself to the other 7 members at my table and we treated each other like old friends.

Can't wait for my first semi solo trip this November (my sister is coming out for a long weekend in the middle of it)

There's a technical term for it beyond introvert/extrovert that has to do with whether other people energize you or de-energize you. I'm definitely in the latter camp, as Bill seems to be. I enjoy the company of other people, and I'm not the least bit shy, but there's definitely a sigh of relief when I find myself alone for a few minutes!

The sister who will be visiting me is the opposite, and gets antsy without people around.

I am looking forward to having the best of both worlds for my Sept. trip. My two best friends (for 41 years) are coming with me to the world. We will stay in a one bedroom Villa at the BW. I have an AP, am a pin trader & love WDW so I will be in the parks everyday by myself. :thumbsup2 They have no desire to go in the parks :confused3 and will be touring the areas around WDW. They plan on doing day trips and hanging at the pool. We will meet up for dinner ressies every night. other than that we won't see each other. I am so looking forward to doing the parks by myself and spending time with friends in the evening. :goodvibes :yay: :woohoo:
Can't wait. Penny

LOL. I wish I had that skill. I can be there all day and not strike a conversation with anyone... maybe I just give off the creepy loner vibe. :)

I'm comfortable with alone-time, but sometimes I wish there were a little less of it, particularly since the focus of some (okay, all) of my nights is Pleasure Island. My SO will gladly accompany me to the parks, but isn't into PI *at all* ... so most of my PI-centered trips are solo efforts.

Bummer.
