this is going to sound so northern though, I went to the National Coal Mining Museum which i had never been to, and always wanted to.
actually really good, long underground guided tour lit by torch light through a coal mine which was mined since the 1800s up till the 80s very interesting.

lucky you having a week off.
got a few days off next weekend to go to a film festival, which will be fun.

im fascinated by world war two. wen i went to normandy in france i went to omaha beach and to a mueseum there it was sooo good i loved it.

if youre interested in WW2 then you should try and go to Nuremburg,
alots is gone (destroyed after the war) but the congress hall museum built in the shell of what would of been the German parliament, is a detailed timeline of the nazis rise to power, really interesting.

There is alot of interesting things at the Imperial War Museum in London too.
