Solo trip -where did you stay and why

I stay at POP don't need anything fancy for a room that im only sleeping in hardly use the pool I like hanging out in the parks
I just love the resort and price is good I thought of changing this yr but went right back to POP if I was to upgrade to another hotel other then value I would have to reduce my days I want to stay a week so I love the values!!

I'm trying to figure this out too! We always stay at ASMo because DS insists on staying at the "Toy Story hotel." The last (and so far only) time I went solo I stayed at CSR, figuring I wanted to try something different. But then I kind of found myself wishing I hadn't spent the extra dollars, because I wasn't there enough to take advantage of all the extras, and didn't need the extra space in the room. Next solo is planned for Sept 2014. Part of me wants to do POFQ because because I've always wanted to try that, but the other part of me wants to just save the dollars and go value. I would love to try AoA, but certainly wouldn't want a suite, and don't thin I'd be happy so far away in LM.

ASMo. I spent more time in the parks than anywhere else, and I liked the convenience of the food court because I was eating alone and just wanted to finish and get out to the parks. Value is the way to go if you're only using the room to sleep and shower, as I was.

I'm staying at POR for my first solo trip. I have done POR, POFQ and POP on my past family trips and wanted to stay somewhere I knew and was comfortable with.

I would likely have stayed at POP to save money but got a great bounceback offer that made POR affordable.

I've stayed at Pop Century and All Star sports (because they are cheaper, and I didnt plan on spending much time in the room). It was definitely well worth it and I enjoyed the resorts a lot more than I thought I would!

I've only stayed at BWV solo, as there is our DVC home. In a little over a year I am planning on three days trip with family and friends, and then about 8 days on my own. While I know I'll go to the parks, I'll also plan on spending time at the resort as well.

Right now I'm looking at doing a split between a moderate (CSR or POR) and a deluxe (Poly.)

I've stayed at BWI, POFQ and CR solo. I tend to choose location over price. I have also discovered that as a single woman I prefer the layout of the deluxe resorts when I'm by myself. I stayed at CBR with a friend and know I would never be comfortable there alone - it's too spread out and I didn't like having to walk through the parking lot to get to the room at night. So I'm willing to pay extra to feel more comfortable.

I've stayed at POFQ solo, and I think it is a great choice. It is small, so no matter where you room is, you don't have to walk that far to get to it. And that made me more comfortable walking to/from my room alone. No long, dark, winding paths.

It is also a very pretty and peaceful resort. Not a ton of kids yelling and screaming like there are at the value resorts. I like the value resorts when I want something in my face and frantic, but that is not what I want when I am on a solo trip. I want more laid back, and POFQ is great for that.

I think you should follow your instincts and stay at POFQ.:)

I stayed All Star Sports. The value was unbeatable and I mentally couldn't justify spending additional money for a moderate when I wouldn't be in the room and wouldn't be with anyone.

No regrets. The room was fine and the kids really didn't bother me. I had a couple afternoons/evenings by the pool and it wasn't bad.
