I am debating whether or not to make ADR's.

I am joining some other dis'ers on their adr's, plus I did make one for my birthday at O'hana since I will have some friends join me.

Is it really necessary for just me?

I am guessing by your countdown that you are going w/in the first two weeks of Dec. In that case I would say you are more than fine. You already have some set up with friends so I would say that would be more than plenty. Truthfully while I am solo, I ususally only eat counter service anyway. Not sure why, but just me... I think I like to get in and out on to all the rides quicker. With just one person you probably will have a better chance at any walk ups that you might want too. During more of the "off season" we hardly make any ADRs as it is. I say just keep Disney Dining's number in your cell phone and call if the mood strikes

I often take solo trips in the off season, and very seldom make any ADR's. I just don't like being tied into a schedule when I'm on my own. If there's someplace I especially want to eat, I'll make one, and sometimes I call the day of and make one. The one trip I tried making a lot of them, I ended up cancelling all of the remaining ones half way through the trip. There is a lot more variety in the CS offerings than there used to be, so I'm OK with CS if I can't get a TS, and of course, there's always room service!

That's kinda what I have been thinking...but I forgot about room service
